JVC launches three new Everio Camcorders

JVC has just announced three new Everio camcorders all featuring 40x optical zoom, full HD video recording, SD/SDHC slot, USB port, HDMI interface together with a 2.7-inch LCD screen and automatic uploading to Facebook and YouTube.

The higher-end model numbers GZ-HM670 and GZ-HM690 are equipped with a 3.3MP CMOS sensor improving their ability to record video in dark areas. That should come in handy for Bigfoot and UFO sightings. The lower end model the HM450 only has a 1.5MP CMOS sensor.

Kinect gets the Swarovski treatment

What could possibly be better than a tablet or smartphone covered in Swarovski crystals? Microsoft’s kinect, that’s what. At least that’s what DS Styles thinks. This Kinect will blind you before you even get to use it, then take some stills of you stumbling about.

Well, I know what Elton John is getting for Christmas. This thing matches some of his suits. If you like gaudy gadgets, this will cost you $632. You’ll be picking these cheap crystals out of your carpet for eternity as they fall out.

Most iPhone stands are functional, but not very unique. This is one of the most unique designs we’ve seen yet. It was designed by Young-Gun Cho and the ICONICSTAND is constructed using sustainable practices.

This stand is cut from Birch and can even be personalized with the logo or icon of your choice from Twitter or Facebook. The stand lets you rotate your iPhone to view it in either portrait or landscape and the plywood feel of the stand is a very different experience compared to plastic or metal stands.

White Samsung Galaxy S now available in Germany

Some things are rare in white. Buffaloes and iPhone 4s to name a few. Well, if you like your gadgets white, Samsung has launched the ceramic white edition of the Galaxy S in Germany. The specs remain the same and it will be powered by Android 2.1 only.

Samsung has listed the official price at 649 Euros but Amazon Germany is offering a heavy discount by selling this one for 464 Euros. You may not be able to get a white iPhone 4, but at least you can snag a white Galaxy S.

Angry Birds iPhone 4 cases now available in the US

Last month we told you about those cool iPhone 4 Angry Birds cases made by Gear4. At that time, we had no idea when they would be available in the US. Well, now we know.

Gear4 is now shipping the cases in the US for the iPhone 4 and the iPod touch. The cases come in red bird, yellow bird, and green Pig King styles. You can order the cases right now for just $24.99 each. They look pretty decent if you like the game.

GelaSkins MacBook Air Skins

GelaSkins have been around for a while offering neat skins that prevent scratches on your notebooks and smartphones. Now if you own one of the new MacBook Air ultraportables, GelaSkins has announced that it is now supporting that device as well.

GelaSkins offers many different styles, some plain, some from famous artists. The one pictured above is “Take Me to Your Leader” and they even have some from Frank Miller of 300 and Sin City. There’s a great selection.

U.S. Navy tests a new Railgun

Railguns have some serious power and while we are used to seeing them in the movies, the government is always busy testing out new ways to use them. The U.S. Navy just fired a metal projectile that destroyed a target a hundred miles away.

The railgun’s operation is pretty straightforward. It uses an electrical charge measured in megajoules as a propellant, which allows the large ordnance to be fired and detonated quickly. The recent test struck the distant target in a matter of minutes.

Phone X Retro iPhone Dock

If you are looking for a retro styled iPhone dock, look no further. This one was designed and created by Japanese home electronics company Hashy-Topin and this iPhone dock allows you to make calls the old fashioned way using a handset with a cord.

When docked, your iphone will charge and sync to iTunes if needed. Phone X will cost you $24 in either Black, Pink, Blue , White or Yellow. Not a bad price if you absolutely must get back to being tethered with your phone.

Speck DustJacket cases for iPad and Kindle 3

Speck has unveiled some new cases for your iPad or Kindle 3. Both are called DustJacket and come in red and black colors. These cases are made of fake leather and are designed to prop up the devices so you can read or watch video easily.

The DustJacket for the iPad opens like a book and has a protective cover that folds back and the screen can be propped at various angles. There’s also a micro-fiber interior to prevent scratches. The iPad case is $49.95.

Google eBookstore is official

Google has now officially announced its electronic book store called the Google ebookstore, instead of Google Editions which was the rumored name. Google eBooks are available from the Google ebookstore in the US, and the company has announced that they have over three million titles available in the store.

The big G says that their eBooks are compatible with a wide range of devices, including most smartphones, tablets, e-readers and netbooks. In addition they are also launching free applications for Android and Apple iOS devices, and the apps are already available in the Android marketplace and the Apple App Store.

TikTok and LunaTik Watch Kits for iPod Nano

A project started by Scott Wilson over on Kickstarter has made the money it needs to go from concept to the real world. The projects are the Tiktok and LunaTik watch kits for the new iPod nano. Scott needed $15,000 to fund the project and ended up with over $75,000. I guess people really want them.

And why not? They are the coolest watchbands for the nano we’ve seen yet. The TikTok is a snap in band that the iPod can be removed from easily. While the LunaTik is made from aluminum parts and comes in silver or red colors.

Xbox 360 cooling mod uses the Air Conditioner

The Xbox 360 can get seriously hot during gaming and you don’t the ‘red ring of death’ showing up. So what can you do? Well, you could try cooling your Xbox 360 system using this igneous cooling device which uses an air conditioning unit and some tubing.

You just need a cardboard box, some flexible tubing and plenty of tape. It may not be pretty, but it will cool your console down so that you can concentrate on playing Black Ops.
