I am familiar with the company ZAGG. It makes some interesting products like the InvisibleSHIELD film that is laser cut to exactly fit gadgets of all sorts form Mac notebooks and the iPhone to various Blackberry devices. In fact, I use their film to protect the screen and body of my iPhone and it works great.

ZAGG has announced a new line of products called ZAGGaudio and the first product from the line is the Z.buds earphones. The earphones retail for $79.99 and feature a microphone built-in to allow users to place and receive phone calls.

The Last Call iPhone app tells you how drunk you are, because you are probably way too far gone to judge for yourself. It determines this using your weight and how many drinks you’ve had already. It also calculates your drunkenness by what type of alcoholic beverages you’ve consumed, and it will even offer advice on what to do next now that you’re three sheets to the wind.

If you’re too blitzed to drive, you can press a button and it will call a taxi for you. Best of all, it’s free, which means more booze money. Now all you need is an app that shows how much of your liver is still healthy and calculates how much more drinking you can do until your final days.

The Fueltank is a charging device that actually has good looks. It’s from tech company Callpod and it allows you to charge two small electronic devices at the same time without the use of an outlet. Which makes it perfect for travel, when you need to charge your gadgets the most.

It contains a rechargeable lithium ion battery that holds more than 7 times the capacity of a standard mobile phone. It will sense the amount of power required to charge your devices and sports LED fuel capacity indicators that display when the charging indicator button is pressed. We aren’t sure what to think about this one. Target is getting creative with their gift cards again. You can consider it either a gift card with a digital camera, or a digital camera with a gift card. Either way, it’s all good. This holiday season, Target will begin selling the combo gift card/digital camera, which is an interesting approach. It will give customers some added value to what is otherwise a pretty boring purchase.

The camera features a 1.2MP sensor with 50MB of storage. It comes bundled with a USB cord, driver disk, instruction manual and a voucher for 40 free prints at Target. It’s powered by two AAA batteries. So rest assured, Target’s battery sales will be way up this year. Here’s one useful app that can be had for just $1. Fake Calls does just what it sounds like, it lets your iPhone simulate receiving a phone call shortly after launching the app. The best part is you can set the name of the caller as anyone you want. “Oh excuse me I have to take this call from Steve Jobs. He’s having trouble thinking up new ‘i’ names.” Hey, why not. We’re talking $1 here. Help prop up the economy.

In keeping with the spirit of the season, here’s something to help you get drunk that also doubles as a creepy prop. It’s a Skull Beer Funnel with spinal column attached. Designer David Veldkamp created this futuristic concept PC he calls the LawnPC. The device would create all the power it needs from solar cells embedded in the grass that sits on top of the PC. The grass isn’t real grass, it’s actually made from natural cotton fabric that carries inkjet printed solar cells. The use of cotton makes the blades biodegradable, just like real grass. The idea is that hundreds of these blades can generate all the power the system needs at about 60 Watts per hour. The blades transfer energy to the battery plug-in at the bottom of each blade. The Lawn PC is also completely wireless.

All the electricity is generated by the machine. Which doesn’t even require a cooling fan. The natural air flow in between the lawn is enough to cool the system. All you have to worry about is placing the system near a window or a vent, where it can get all the light and air it needs. The lawn is removable, so it will also power your other electronic devices. Those devices will look like they do now, just with a blade of grass sticking out of them like an organic antenna.

You want a sweet ride, while keeping the environment clean. The economy will bounce back eventually right? Have a look at the Electric GPR-S motorbike that helps you reduce your carbon footprint by relying on electricity to drive you around town. There are Steampunk googles, and then there are Steampunk goggles that are quality made and look pretty damn spiffy too. The metal components that you see in this pair are solid milled titanium, coated in gold colored titanium nitride. File this one under “Things that do not rock!” The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled all the 57,000 $55 Rage Wireless Guitars that have thus far been sold. The reason? They were made in China of course.

Apparently a circuit board defect can cause the AA batteries included to leak acid if they are installed incorrectly. (People actually install batteries incorrectly?) What it means is that the acid may burn consumers flesh and transform ordinary plain rock into Acid Rock. And that is just unacceptable. I’ll tell you what else is unacceptable. Chemical burns to the groin. Everyone stop rocking immediately. Guitars are dropping, I mean leaking acid!

There are a million eye-catching iPod accessories, but this one manages to stand out nicely. This odd looking iPod dock/speaker combo is from designer Jean-Michel Jarre and resembles something you would charge your lightsaber in that also doubles as a heater. It’s called the AeroSystem, retro in name and design.

It’s currently available only in France, and costs about $580, complete with an iPod-inspired remote. Seems to me that it’s more of a suicide station for when your iPod hears about the state of the economy or that Apple has released a new model. Stationed high atop it’s high-rise, it is free to make the decision to jump or not jump.

Etsy seller NES Box didn’t like the fugly exterior of their external hard drive, and so did something about it. That something was to drop it in an old NES cartridge case. The cartridge was just the right size, allowing the drive to fit in perfectly.

It’s powered by USB, so you won’t need any external juice. Created by them, it’s a one of a kind item.(Until someone else makes one) So it will cost you $180 if you want one. The only problem with putting things in old NES cases is that it might get lost among your other cartridges if you aren’t careful. Or your friend might borrow it instead of an actual game.
