If you wanted some new hardware to go along with the new Wii Fit Plus, you must be feeling disappointed, but don’t worry. There are some unusual surprises awaiting you in the game. Like a new Segway mini-game that’s been developed with Segway.

That’s right, you can use the Wii Balance Board and Wii Remote to simulate what it’s like to ride on a Segway. Oh joy. At least you won’t fall off and look like a dork. Looks like it’s a simple balloon-popping game that involves a “mole-like creature.” To operate the virtual Segway x2, just stand on the balance board and lean forward to make your Mii character ride forward. To turn left and right, you lean a Wii remote left or right.

I am a big fan of Logitech force feedback racing wheels. I have one of the company’s G25 force feedback wheels and it is fantastic. Logitech has made several force feedback racing wheels over the years, but the company hasn’t put its force feedback technology into flight simulation gear until now.

Logitech announced the Flight System G940 today that includes a joystick, dual throttle, and rudder pedals inspired by commercial and military aircraft. The system includes more than 250 possible programmable button combinations that ensure that you don’t have to remove your hands form the controls.

As you might have heard, SanDisk is offering players with a feature that’s a little unusual, a microSD card slot. The slot is a requirement to work with the new music format introduced last month called slotMusic.

The slotMusic format is basically just digital tracks written on a microSD card. SanDisk’s new Sansa player is made especially for the format and is pretty bare bones with no internal memory, no LCD, and no rechargeable battery. It operates on a single AAA battery. It plays slotmusic cards. Period. The device retails for $19.99. You can also get a customized player with an artist skin and a slotMusic card for $34.99. So, we all know that motion controls like Nintendo’s Wii are the future of gaming. The Stix controllers even took a stab at it for the PC. Actiga has an interesting take on it (We think) and has announced a new line of Mini-Motion controllers that will be available in different game categories.

USB controllers will be available for Mac and PC, that resemble such things as skateboards, RC Cars, baseball, and a racing vehicle. Each of the controllers connect via USB and will sell for $19.99. It’s unclear if the controller has games built-in or if they are simply controllers to be used with other PC games that already exist. I mean, we’re assuming these aren’t just glorified joysticks.

The Gamers Cockpit GT3 will work with select racing games on your PlayStation 2 or Xbox 360. It consists of an all steel chassis, advanced racing seat, steering wheel, pedals, a Logitech surround sound system, your choice of video game console, your choice of video racing game and a 19-inch Samsung LCD television.

Lawnmowers are one of those manly tools that have not really undergone much change over the years. The reason for this is simple. Depending on how you dress it up, you can either look really cool mowing the lawn with your concept mower, or you can look like a total tool. I think they got it right here.
