The game can be pre-ordered now for $27, and it will ship in September. Jawas are no longer the only guys who get to operate on droids. I wonder what R2′s hardest part to remove is.

If you have a 55-gallon drum lying around and Smoker, you can create one just like this. Then give it a paint makeover. May the force and good burgers be with you.

Posted in Android by Conner Flynn on December 6th, 2010

Just shortly after Google released the Android 2.3 SDK, developers have already spotted some new code that appears to be related to buttons on Sony’s PlayStation controllers. This discovery corroborates earlier rumors and leaks, including videos and images showing a PlayStation phone with a control configuration similar to the PSP Go.

The new code includes references to the L1, L2, R1 and R2 triggers found on PlayStation controllers, while Google has given generic labels to what looks like the Square, Triangle, X and Circle buttons.

R2-D2 Talking Money Box

Posted in Star Wars by Conner Flynn on November 22nd, 2010

The R2-D2 talking money box is a great way to save up for all of that Star Wars gear you want to buy. But R2-D2 doesn’t talk, so really you are just getting a bunch of beeps and boops that you will need Luke to translate.

It’s just $34. Lucas has gotten rich off of you buying all of this R2 gear, so saving money is the least this little droid can help you to do.

Droid 2 Global launching on November 11th?

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on November 4th, 2010

Word is that Motorola’s Droid 2 Global will be coming in two colors, one of which could be coming on next Thursday, November 11th. According to a leak, it will be the blue version of the phone. The white model isn’t mentioned, so we aren’t sure if Verizon is planning on holding that one back for a bit longer.

The white version may be too close to the R2-D2 edition and so perhaps they want to give that one a bit more exclusivity before having another white model. Anyhow, are you excited yet? It shouldn’t be long now.
