Sony introduces new PSP system bundles |
Sony will be offering some special PSP bundles in Japan this summer. I guess it’s their way of giving it a proper sendoff. The PSP-3000 “value pack” includes a PSP bundled with some color-matched accessories, like a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, an AC adapter, a 1,200mAh battery, a pouch, and a wiping cloth.
The bundle comes in three colors: Piano Black, Vibrant Blue, and Pink Blossom. The price is 17,800 yen (or about $220). It will be available in Japan on July 28. No word on whether we will get it or not.







When I think of 7-eleven stores, I think of gas, Big Gulp’s and Slurpees. The stores have all sorts of stuff that you might want for your daily travels. 7-Eleven locations are now unveiling a new offering.
Those living in Japan get all of the cool stuff. Sometimes we get it later, sometimes we don’t. The latest Sony-thing to keep gamers in Japan happy are two new bundles for the PSP-3000.
Looks like the PSPgo is living up to it’s name in Japan, where it’s go go go. Sony’s has moved more than 28,000 units on its first day on sale in Japan. The launch was supported with retail and download titles Persona 3 Portable and Dissidia Final Fantasy Universal Tuning, as well as download-only titles Disgaea Infinite and LocoRoco Midnight Carnival.
Sony just announced a new Gran Turismo PSP Entertainment Pack that will hit retail shelves on October 20th for $199.99. Here’s what you get: Mystic Silver PSP-3000 system, Gran Turismo PSP game on UMD, a PlayStation Network downloadable voucher for a white Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, a color exclusive to this entertainment pack, 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, PlayStation Network downloadable movie voucher and a Sony Music Pass voucher good for 10 downloadable songs.
At GamesCom 2009, Sony announced plans to bring three new PSP-3000 colors to Europe. The new colors are “Turquoise” blue, “Lilac” purple, and “Blossom” pink. We already know about the

You’ll get the ghostly white PSP-3000 and 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, plus an unnamed feature film on UMD. For $199.
Sony has a bunch of accessories that will be available for PSP Go when it hits US shelves on October 1. The usual stuff, like cases, wrist straps, Sony-branded screen protectors etc. Problem is the handheld doesn’t have a standard mini USB port like the PSP-3000, so you will have to buy all new accessories.
Sony often announces limited edition entertainment packs for its PSP console that bundle some new game with an exclusive color and other items to entice users to buy its portable console. The PSP-3000 is getting a bit long in the tooth now and rumors are circulating that a new PSP may be coming.
Now you can enjoy Rock Band while on the road to your next gig. That’s because the game is coming to the Sony PSP. To celebrate, Sony is releasing a limited edition Rock Band Unplugged PSP Entertainment Pack.
Here’s something that’s slightly messed up. But it’s the kind of thing that carmakers must do in order to sell to Sony loving geeks. A PSP Edition SUV. Citroen is offering their C-Crosser SUV which boldly boasts a PSP sticker that lets everyone know your handheld of choice.
Sony claims to have sold 50 million PSP handhelds worldwide as of January 2009. That number includes all PSP-1000, 2000, and 3000 devices sold since December 2004. That’s a pretty impressive number, for sure.
