The gamepad is for the PS3 of course, with USB connectivity and a PS button in the middle. We wish it was available here in the US, but sadly this is only getting a release in Japan for 3,129 yen (about $37). Still, you can get one imported if you really want one for $45.

DC Universe Online beta for the PS3 is a hefty 15GB

Posted in PS3 by Conner Flynn on December 15th, 2010

PlayStation Plus members can now enjoy the DC Universe Online beta on their PS3, but first you will have to take care of the 15GB download. The PlayStation Store has been updated to include the beta, and at 15GB this is one of the largest PS3 installations yet. But the game looks well worth it.

If you still have one of those old 20GB PS3s, you might want to skip this one. The beta will be downloaded in segments, which is nice for those with unreliable Internet connections. If you have problems you won’t need to start over again.

Posted in PS3 by Conner Flynn on December 13th, 2010

The Guardian is reporting that both ITV and Channel 4, two of the nation’s largest commercial channels, are bringing their video catchup services to the PlayStation 3. The ITV Player and 4OD have had web-based services for some time and now they have both made deals with Sony, who expects their overall traffic to improve by 10 percent.

ITV says they are open to adding their content to “other consoles,” web-connected TVs, and tablets, while Channel 4 has had no luck with Xbox 360 deals and the Wii isn’t for them since it doesn’t support advertising. Sony however is very open to more content and welcomes them.
