FragFX’s mouse & nunchuck for the PS3 |
This is a lot like the mLani wireless FPS controller we showed you last month. They’ve split the Dual Shock in half, remapped the right analog stick to a mouse, and put buttons all over it. We like it.
It makes playing FPS games more like it is on the PC. It also has awesome looks. It even has a “frag button.” It will cost you $80, which seems expensive, but it’s well worth it and should improve your game dramatically.

It looks like despite some denials from Sony in the past, a survey is being conducted to gauge the public’s interest in streaming movies and TV shows to their game console. The service on PS3 might require a one-time purchase of a $9.99 “Netflix Instant Streaming Disc” that would be inserted to stream video, but otherwise the cost would be free.
Rockstar makes some of the most popular video games available with titles like Grand Theft Auto and more. One of the long running franchises for the studio has been the Midnight Club series. The latest title in the franchise is Midnight Club: LA and I have been talking about new DLC content coming for the game for a while. Back in February I mentioned the
Here’s some awesome news for PS3 owners. It’s been a long long wait, and I mean long, but this device has now hit the FCC. The details are few, but you should be excited. Until now Playstation owners with IR-based universal remotes have had to use bulky IR-to-Bluetooth converters so that the pair can communicate.
We love video games around here. Whether we’re playing the Xbox 360, the PS3 or even an old Atari 2600. We thought we would take a look at the history of gaming consoles from 1972 to the present. You grew up with the vintage consoles, you play the new ones, so take a walk down memory lane and revisit all your favorites from the massive list below.
When you say the name Disney I automatically think of pirates, kid’s movies, and animated mice. When Disney Interactive studios put out the quad racing game Pure last year I didn’t think much about it until I saw the game and realized how fantastic it was graphically.
It’s Ripley’s console of choice. She plays it while wearing a Mech-suit just in case she has to hurl it out into space. Granted, it should feature a baby alien popping out of it’s chest somewhere, but it’s still a pretty awesome mod. We have the
How many times have you heard your gamer friends say that they can’t play FPS games on a console because it’s not as good as a mouse and keyboard? Probably a lot. They’re always whining about it. Well, this new controller for the PS3 cuts all the wires, making the experience more like the Wii. You can even program it.
One of the coolest games I have played on the PS3 for a while is Midnight Club: Los Angles. I think the game is every bit as fun (and very similar to) Need for Speed Undercover. One of the most interesting parts of Midnight Club: LA is that the locations in the game are all real from the LA area.
An analyst with Janco, Mike Hickey, says that a major price cut for the PS3 could be on the way in the next few days. According to Hickey (Who I’m assuming has no marks on his neck) the price drop needs to be at least $100 to get retail sales moving again.
The Sony PS3 is one of the most popular game consoles on the market. One of the best things about the console for me is that I can use it as a Blu-ray player in addition to a gaming system. I also believe that it is one of the best Blu-ray players around thanks to the continual updates Sony adds to the Blu-ray player via downloads.
Ah, the Swiss. While Germans have been busy doing
Sony just introduced a new bunch of wireless SingStar microphones that are touted as being “easy to pass around”. Apparently one of the selling points is that they are lead-free, which is good for the environment. The voices that you will hear on these mics? Not so good for the environment.
Sony claims to have sold 50 million PSP handhelds worldwide as of January 2009. That number includes all PSP-1000, 2000, and 3000 devices sold since December 2004. That’s a pretty impressive number, for sure.
I spend most of my year avoiding commercials to the extent that I don’t even know what movies are at the theater frequently. I can thank my DVR for the lack of product advertisement bliss I enjoy during a normal night of TV watching.
