Epson Stylus Photo R2000 Photo Printer

This photo printer uses Epson’s UltraChrome Hi-Gloss 2 pigment ink, in conjunction with Epson’s Advanced MicroPiezo AMC print head, allowing it to produce high quality prints. Other features include Wi-Fi, USB and Ethernet connectivity. It will be available this month for $499.99.

Samsung Announces New External Hard Drives with SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Interface

Samsung has announced a new line of hard disk drives, including two portable drives and a desktop storage station. These drives support the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface and will deliver transfer speeds of up to 5 gigabits per second, which is 10 times higher than USB 2.0. So you will be able to transfer a 25-gigabyte full HD movie in just four minutes flat. Not bad eh?

The M2 Portable is an entry-level model, while the C2 Portable 3.0 is the premium version. The M2 comes with a matte finish that covers scratches and fingerprints and has curved sides that allow for a good grip. The C2 will have a high-gloss cover with a crystallized pattern. The drives are available in densities of up to 1 terabyte and will come in four colors: Brown Black, Noble Beige, Mist Gray and Clay Orange.

It’s a small microfiber cloth that comes in several styles and colors. It’s designed to remove the smudges and fingerprints from touchscreens and LCD devices without scratching. On one side is a silk microfiber, the other side has a plush microfiber. It does the job without liquids or sprays.

Digital picture frames are cool, but comic strips are better. No one prints photos these days, but I bet this new Comic Strip Picture Frame will get people printing them again. It lets you make your own new adventure using your pics.

It has six spots for you to put your prints into and it comes with sticker bubbles and a tiny pen. Just think up some cool and funny stuff to write on those bubbles and you have your own comic strip.

Kodak unveils PYNK Smart Print System

Kodak has introduced its new Kodak PYNK Smart Print System, which is touted as a new concept in premium photo products. It allows users to easily create professional-looking framed collages in just seconds at any PYNK Ready Kodak Picture Kiosk without having to worry about cropping, cutting, or the layout.

All you have to do is bring your pictures or prints to the store, select a PYNK Smart Print Ready product, enter the six-digit PYNK product ID and watch the picture printed to fit the product. Photos can be automatically cropped, sized, arranged, and printed on a single sheet to fit the frame, so users can just slip the printed photo into the frame and that’s it.

White Galaxy S heads to South Korea

About 800,000 units of the Galaxy S phone have already sold in Korea. So some of these folks who didn’t buy it may just like it in white and buy it after all. That’s why Samsung has released a new White version of the phone. This high-gloss White model has a chrome bezel and a black front.

So if you are in South Korea and wanted the phone in white, feel free to get one now. An international version of the white version is expected soon. Dirty fingerprints will be right behind.

Canon adds fingerprint scanners to Photocopiers

Guys like me are lucky. We get to work from home and bring you all of the latest gadget news. But there are some things that you miss about the office. Like abusing photocopiers. Whether just scanning some copies of your butt, or full on getting mad and giving it a good kick when it misbehaves, abusing these machines may be a thing of the past thanks to Canon.

In Japan, Canon has teamed up with Hitachi on a new fingerprint scanning system for their multi-function boxes which photocopy, print, scan and fax, so only those allowed to use the machine can use it. We also figure it will link butt-scans to the fingerprints they belong too.

Dell Inspiron R with wireless display

Dell has upgraded its core Inspiron line with not only good looks, but also some extras never seen before with Dell. They now sport a full ‘chiclet’ keyboard and some unique color options. The underside of the keyboard can be color-matched, and HP-style imprints can sit on the palm rest.

The display has a Mini 10-style hinge that can bend further back than the previous design. They ship with 14, 15 and 17 inch displays with either Core i3 or Core i5 processors. Integrated graphics are standard, but you can upgrade to a 1GB dedicated Mobility Radeon HD graphics chipset or Intel’s Wireless Display and up to 8GB of RAM and a 640GB disk.

It uses your scanned fingerprints to do it. Some features include timer programming, automatic descaling and machine self-cleaning. Of course a coffee machine that uses your fingerprint isn’t cheap. It will cost you $2,500.

This phone looks pretty good-looking considering that it’s made from 19% recycled plastic. 87% of the phone can be recycled when it’s life is over. Digital cameras are great things and even older folks like my parents are getting into taking digital photos today. My mom has a ton of photos from when I was a kid that she wants in digital format for her digital frame.

Dell Studio 1558 Touch with Core i5

Looks like Dell has some brand new laptops in their catalog, the Studio 1558 Touch and a multitouch Studio 17 Touch. No details are available on the Studio 1558, but we know that it will be equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor, the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and a 320GB hard drive.

It has a starting price of $999 and of course the price goes up from there depending on the configuration you choose. If you like fingerprints on your laptop screen, stay tuned.
