SoundRacer makes your car sound like a supercarSo you drive around in an Gremlin, but what you really want is a Porsche or a Ferrari. Unfortunately you can’t afford one. Which is why you are in your little bucket of rust. Well, the Soundracer can help. It won’t convert your heap into a sportier car, but it will plug into your car’s cigarette lighter port, and use an FM transmitter to play real V8 or V10 engine sound effects to the stereo.

That way you can at least pretend you are driving in luxury. According to SoundRacer’s website, the sounds correspond to the RPMs of your car’s engine. Pretend is fun.

Porsche USB flash driveMany of us would love to own a Porsche, but not all of us can afford one. The next best thing may be this Porsche flash drive. At least it’s something to flash around so you can pretend you own one.

The drive offers 2GB of storage, which should be plenty of space for Porsche pictures and other important data. Of course it features the brand logo embedded on it. It will cost you $49 and leave you feeling completely unsatisfied because you are still no closer to the actual car.

Fanatec Renn Sport cockpitI am a big fan of racing and driving simulation games. Titles like GTR, Need for Speed and more are some of my favorite games. I am all for anything that makes for more realism when playing, especially things like force feedback wheels and racing seats.

Fanatec already offers a force feedback Porsche branded racing wheel and a budget wheel stand for driving sim fans. Fanatec has now announced a new racing cockpit for the truly hard-core racing sim fan. The product is called the Renn Sport Cockpit and is designed especially for force feedback racing wheels.

Porsche Design cellphone not as cool as the car

Porsche Design cellphone not as cool as the carPorsche is a name associated with two things, style and speed. The new P’9522 arguably has plenty of style (though I don’t see it), but it sports a Wi-Fi web connection instead of a 3G network.

With your powered down connection you’ll also get a 5 Megapixel camera, touch screen, and built in GPS. Apparently forged from a single block of brushed aluminum and a glass plate, this one is for the rich set. People who won’t care about speed as much as making impressions. It ships in November and looks like it will sell for aout $875.

geek-sunglasses.jpgYou too can now look cool and geeky as you cruise down the road on your favorite moped. All it takes is these new 1.3 Megapixel Spy Camera Sunglasses, available through ThinkGeek for around $100.

The 1.3 Megapixel Spy Camera Sunglasses can help you snap photos of that hot model in the Porsche next to you at the stoplight. The 1.3-megapixel lens is embedded in part of front of the frame, and she’ll never know you are shooting photos as you stare with drool apparent. She may think you are a bit creepy though, dusting you when the light turns green.

Porsche P’9110 emergency crank radioIt may not really make much different just how good your emergency equipment looks when you actually need it, but you can appreciate it the rest of the time. Having a quality product that’s going to work when you need it sure doesn’t hurt, either. This Porsche P’0911 emergency crank radio by Eton has the looks and functionality that you’re looking for, but possibly the price that you’re not.

The emergency radio supports AM and FM bands and is powered by a crank with a magnetic locking system, so no batteries or external power is required. Along with the radio it also contains an emergency siren, LED flashlight, cell phone charger and a red strobe light.

Porsche P’9521 mobile phoneWhen will it stop? How many world-known brand names will hop aboard the money express and brand a seemingly unrelated product to their image? As long as people will open their wallets and purses there will be always be these kind of weird crossover products like the Porsche P’9521 mobile phone.

The luxury car firm showed off their talk device designed by French electronics firm Sagem, a EUR 1,200 product (that’s $1,600 Yankee dollars) that has a 3.2 megapixel camera, plays MP3 tunes with its three stereo speakers, has a QVGA 320×340 OLED screen …
