Minimalist 4 iPhone 4 case is part wallet

Posted in Apple by Shane McGlaun on September 15th, 2010

I am not the sort of person to pack a wallet with a bunch of photos, business cards, and general junk until it’s so swollen you can’t even sit on it. I like thin wallets that go in the front pocket and the only things I take with me are a single car key, my iPhone, and my wallet when I leave the house.

An awesome new iPhone 4 case has turned up that will let me ditch the wallet and only carry the iPhone and my car key when I go out. The case is called the Minimalist 4 and is made by Trtl Bot. It does all the normal stuff you expect a case to do like protect your phone if you drop it. The thing is made from recycled plastic right here in the USA.

Sony Cyber-shot Snap is like a wallet

Posted in Concepts by Conner Flynn on May 5th, 2008

Sony Cyber-shot Snap is like a wallet
These are some excellent renders, but unfortunately this is just a concept Sony Cybershot camera called ‘Snap’. It was obviously inspired by a man’s wallet, the surface is even covered in leather. Like some other ultra compact Cybershot cameras, you slide the cover to activate, only it pivots from a corner for easy one handed operation. But aside from that, it’s just another typical Cybershot.

Some users would really love the compact design as you won’t stand out as an obvious tourist while using it, while you take pictures inconspicuously. Others might find it a bit too fragile and wouldn’t be able to resist the urge to actually put it in their back pocket and break it.

Credit card-sized ThinQ pedometer

Sportline ThinQ pedometer is as thin as a credit card and tracks steps while walking for exerciseThere’s been days when I’ve come home from my job (not this job) where I’m on my feet all the time and wondered just how many miles I walk in an actual day. Wearing a pedometer would be a good way to find out but having some little gadget clipped to my belt causes everyone I run into at the office to ask what the little thing is that I have clipped to my belt.

The ThinQ pedometer from Sportline is about the size of a credit card (3mm thick) and easily fits into your pocket or even your wallet giving you discrete tracking of your steps, distance traveled and calories burned. It also houses a sports timer and comes in colors of blue, orange or green, retailing for about $35.
