Pioneer Offers A Pair Of Computer Speakers

Pioneer making speakers? Yep. The outfit has introduced a 2.0 system (the S-MM301 for $49) and a 2.1 system (the S-MM751RU for $129). The S-MM301 features triple-coil drivers, USB connectivity, metal grilles, built-in controls and a compact design that is good for travel. The S-MM751RU adds a dedicated subwoofer and more power.

The S-MM751RU comes with a remote that allows users to control the volume and play/pause/rewind/forward, you know the drill. It uses Maxx Bass Dynamic Sound technology. The system is rated to handle a total of 40 watts (20 watt subwoofer, 10 watts for each satellite).

The latest Android tablet from Pioneer Computers Australia is the DreamBook ePad N10. This device is powered by a 1GHz Cortex-A9 dual-core processor, has a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 or 1280 x 800 multitouch display, a 1GB DDR2 RAM, 4GB/16GB SSD eMMC, and a microSD card slot.

There’s also a 1.3MP front-facing camera, a 5.0-megapixel rear-facing camera, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 1080p Full HD video playback support, a USB port, an HDMI port, a 3.5mm headset jack, stereo speakers, a 6600mAh battery and Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

Pioneer Computers Australia is offering their latest all-in-one desktop PC called the DreamVision PC DH61. It will save you some space on your desk and features a 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 multi-touch LCD screen, a 2nd Generation Intel Core i3/i5 processor, and Intel integrated or NVIDIA 310M 512MB graphics card.

It also packs in up to 8GB DDR3 RAM, up to a 500GB hard drive, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a DVD writer or Blu-ray drive, a 4-in-1 card reader, a TV tuner (optional), WiFi and 2x 5W built-in speakers. Starts at $1,399.

Pioneer SE-CL331 Washable Earphones

The Pioneer SE-CL331 are the world’s first washable earphones. They can be soaked and washed after every session if you like and it won’t damage the electronic equipment. They are available in white, bright blue and pink.

Other features include: a couple of 9mm drivers for a playback frequency of 10Hz to 20kHz with an impedance of 16 Ohms, an ergonomic ear holder, a gold-plated 3.5mm stereo mini-plug and a silver-plated OFC wire. The Pioneer SE-CL331 can be immersed in water up to 1 meter. Just $59.99.

Pioneer outs GPS with augmented reality mapping

Pioneer Japan has introduced four new and very interesting in-car navigation systems. They use a dash-mounted camera to display live images on the screens and superimpose digital images on it to help you navigate. The Augmented Reality GPS systems include the AVIC-VH09CS, AVIC-VH09, AVIC-ZH09CS and AVIC-ZH09. The systems can also show distances between cars and points of interest.

But that’s not all. They can also tell which lane the car is in, if a light is red or green and it can identify other traffic signals. All four feature DVD video playback support, Bluetooth, USB ports, a 1Seg digital TV tuner, and an SD card slot. Hard drive-based navigation is standard, as well as three years of free map data updates.

Another day, another tablet. This one comes from Pioneer Computers, who has just expanded its line of Android tablets with the DreamBook ePad 10 Plus. As far as Specs, you can expect a 10-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen display, a 1GHz ARM11 processor, and 512MB RAM.

Pioneer VMS-700-K Wireless Speaker for seniors

One look at this wireless speaker and you just know it is for the elderly. It looks like luggage more than a speaker. Pioneer has introduced this new Wireless TV Speaker for Japan that will boost your TV sound output and allow the elderly to better hear music without having to turn their TV volume up and bother the rest of us.

This VMS-700-K will be available in Japan in May for around 20,000 Yen. It features two 50mm diameter speakers with a 1Wx2Ch total output on a 100Hz-20kHz bandwidth. The internal nickel hydrogen battery offers 13 hours of battery life and it has a wireless range of 30m max.

Panasonic’s rewriteable 100GB BD-RE XL discs launching this month

Panasonic is finally ready to offer up its new triple layer BD-RE XL discs to the masses on April 15th in Japan. The LM-BE100J is the first rewriteable BDXL available and as such will cost you 10,000 yen ($118).

And don’t worry, the latest burners from Pioneer and Buffalo already support these new discs. If you have other hardware, it’s a good idea check your specs and make sure they are supported before ordering. Otherwise the mistake could be costly.

Pioneer offers new Noise Cancelling Earbud Headphones

Full ear cup noise canceling headphones are great, but by their very nature they are too large for comfort. So Pioneer has just released their new SE-NC31C-K, which can remove up to 90% of ambient noise. The noise reduction can be turned off if you want, while still allowing you to listen to your audio.

They also have a “Monitor” button that mutes the music and turns off noise-cancellation quickly so that you can hear the sounds around you. That’s great for safety reasons alone. With a new single AAA battery the SE-NC31C-K earbud headphones will deliver up to 120 hours of noise canceling silence and they come with a storage pouch, 4.6 ft long cord, 4 ear tip sizes, in-flight plug adapter and a AAA battery.

Pioneer TF-FN2000 Minimalist Cordless Phone

Pioneer Japan has introduced a new series of compact cordless phones, dubbed the Pioneer TF-FN2000 series. This 2.4GHz cordless phone features an LED display, an answering machine, a call screening system and a hands-free mode. It certainly is unique looking.

The Pioneer TF-FN2000 delivers 6-hours of continuous talk time on a full charge and comes with a compact cradle and an ultra minimalistic handset. This device is available in black, white and red. It should be launched in Japan later this month.

Pioneer ships 3D Blu-ray players with iOS app support

Pioneer’s latest range of 3D Blu-ray players will now feature iOS support. These include the BDP-430, Elite BDP-41FD and BDP-43FD. Another shared function would be HDMI 1.4a connectivity for stereoscopic 3D capability along with 36-bit color support. For this the source and the TV need to support it. You also get Pioneer’s iControlAV iOS app which is available for free in the App Store, letting iPhone and iPod users control their player over a local network.

All three models will support a continuous mode which remembers where the movie stopped, so you can play it from that position. Using the Ethernet jack, you can also access Netflix, Pandora and YouTube without a computer.

Pioneer Computers of Australia is outing their latest Android tablet called the DreamBook ePad P10. The device is based on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform and features a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 multi-touch display and up to a 1GHz SMP Dual Core Cortex-A9 processor.

Other features include 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), a SIM card slot, a 1.3-megapixel camera, optional 3G and GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, a 3300mAh battery and Android 2.2 is running the show.

Pioneer outs $209 Limited Edition HDJ-1000 headphones

Pioneer really got the design right for their HDJ-1000 headphones. There really wasn’t much room for improvement, making it hard to justify an update. So they have done what you might expect. These cans are getting rehashed in limited edition.

It’s all gold and black. The extrovert gold you see above and an understated all-black look. These are limited so the price bumps up to $209.
