Fido unveils pink Nokia 3500

Posted in Nokia by Conner Flynn on October 2nd, 2008

Fido unveils pink Nokia 3500The Nokia 3500 is now available in pink from Fido, even though it doesn’t look all that pink. Not really that big of a deal. The pink is limited to the direction pad and keypad which light up. The pinkified Nokia 3500 will cost the same as the regular version of the 3500: $15 a month with a 3-year contract, $90 for a 2-year contract, $100 standalone phone. Probably a good phone for those girls who want to be all Sex in the City.

It features a 2 megapixel camera, music player and built-in FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, tri-band GSM support and a microSD memory card slot. Also has Handsfree speaker, Voice commands, calendar, to-do list, notes, countdown timer, stopwatch and calculator. Just a bit of pink. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Hello Kitty phone includes Speakers System
For those of you who love Hello Kitty, check out this new pink Hello Kitty themed mobile phone which includes a Hello Kitty-themed speaker system. It runs on GSM 900/1800 networks and comes with a 2.2-inch 260k color screen with 176 x 220 pixels, 1.3-megapixel camera, microSD expansion slot (512MB), integrated MP3 player, 16-LED flash sidebar, USB connectivity and preloaded with games that will brainwash you into thinking “pink” and buying more stuff with a kitty on it.

The phone even has a shake control feature for the music player where you can shake it for the next track. No word on pricing and availability. Yeah, I know, another damn Hello Kitty product. What are ya gonna do? Resistance is futile at this point. I put a bullet in a Hello Kitty MP3 player once and it just reformed, got up and spawned a new product. I ran for like 2 days and they just kept multiplying. They finally left me alone when I bought my Hello Kitty toaster. They just wanted me to conform. That’s all. It’s cool now.

Verizon releases the LG Voyager, LG Venus and Samsung Juke and Blackberry Pearl mobile phones in a new lineup for the holidays to take on Apple’s iPhoneVerizon went ahead and unleashed four new phones all at once targeted at the fall shopping season trying to get a share of AT&T’s iPhone dollars. The new lineup includes the Voyager and Venus from LG along with the narrow Samsung Juke and the Blackberry Pearl sporting EV-DO.

The headliner of this Verizon release party is the LG Voyager looking very similar to the iPhone from the outside with a large touchscreen on the face. Once you get your hands on the Voyager you’ll see that it’s a little bulkier than the iPhone and that touchscreen face actually hinges open to expose another display inside that faces a large QWERTY keyboard, hence the thickness. The Voyager also has V CAST Mobile TV, a microSD slot and a modest 2 megapixel camera.
