Audio-Technica ATH-RE70 retro series headphones

The Audio-Technica ATH-RE70 retro series headphones are now available for pre-order. These headphones look nice and retro and feature a couple of 40mm drivers with a frequency response of 10-24 000Hz.

Other features include an adjustable “stick slider” headband and a universal swiveling earcup design to ensure the perfect fit for those long listening sessions or you know, one Pink Floyd album. The Audio-Technica ATH-RE70 retails for about $102.

Sony Ericsson Spiro and Zylo mid-range Walkmans

If you thought that the walkman series was dead, think again. It’s still alive and kicking with two new phones that were just announced. The Sony Ericsson Spiro and Zylo. Both are sliders with social networking integration for the younger crowd.

The Sony Ericsson Zylo supports the HD FLAC audio format, a high-quality lossless audio codec. It won’t reduce the audio quality and delivers the best sound experience with Clear Audio technology.

Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two announced

Remember Microsoft Pink? It’s just been unveiled as a pair of handsets from Sharp called the Kin One and Kin Two. The devices are mostly based on Windows Phone 7, but they offer a totally different experience.

The entire user interface is custom to Kin and has a heavier social media slant, a custom browser and what’s this?, no support for third-party apps. The displays support multitouch with no support for in-browser Flash or Silverlight.

Microsoft's Pink phoneGizmodo has the skinny on the Pink.Project Pink is Microsoft’s new phone for regular joes. We heard rumors about the software months ago, but the hardware, as well as who’s making it has been a mystery. Anyhow, check out the first pictures of these Pink phones, the Turtle and Pure.

The phones will be made by Sharp and Pink will be aimed at the same market that uses the Sidekick. The Turtle kind of looks like a toy Palm Pre, while the Pure seems like your typical standard slider. Both are very…round-ish, with soft angles. Obviously plastic.

Sprint to get Samsung Exclaim June 7thThere had been some rumors about the Samsung Lucello, a dual slider with a messaging focus, that was set to hit Sprint soon. Well, this device now has an official name and a release date. It’s called the Samsung M550 Exclaim and it’s set to release on Sprint on June 7th.

The interface is all about social networking with a menu that allows instant access to Facebook, MySpace and Google. As phones go, it’ pretty middle-of-the-road, with a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and EVDO Rev 0. The Exclaim will be available in pink and blue flavors.

It truly is digital camera craziness this week with all of these new shooters flooding the market in time for the holidays. Another product announcement this week from Olympus comes in the form of two new FE-Series models – the FE-360 and FE-370, priced around $150 and $200, respectively.

The FE-360 and FE-370, both available now, are targeted towards entry-level shooters. Both offer eight-megapixels, image stabilization, face detection, shot previews and in-camera help guides, among other features. You can get full details after the jump.

New Olympus cameras let you preview shot effects

Olympus Stylus 1020Olympus this week unveiled a trio of new Stylus compact digital cameras which it says offer dual image stabilization, 2.7-inch LCDs and a feature called “Perfect Shot Preview.” These models are the Stylus 840, Stylus 1010 and Stylus 1020 and pricing will range between about $250 and $350.

Perfect Shot Preview, as described by Olympus, “enables users to preview and select various photographic effects on a live, multi-window screen before snapping the shot.” The Stylus 1010 and 1020 will both offer 10-megapixels of shooting ability, with the Stylus 840 chiming in at 8-megapixels.

Expect all three Stylus digital cameras in stores by March. You can get the full details after the jump.

iFrogz announced the release of Thumpz, today at CES 2008 in Las Vegas. Thumpz is currently designed for the 3rd generation iPod nano and will also be available for the iPod Classic and incorporated into the Tadpole case. It’s a 100% silicone case with speaker that gives you a compact, more stylish way to listen to music.

The new Thumpz uses a passive speaker technology that offers great sound without the added bulk of batteries. Just slide the iPod into speaker case and connect through the headphone jack. It only extends the length of the iPod about an inch. It claims to give you full protection and you can still share your music and videos without the need to remove the case or plug it into other speakers.

Verizon unveils flashy new phones for the holidays

Verizon releases the LG Voyager, LG Venus and Samsung Juke and Blackberry Pearl mobile phones in a new lineup for the holidays to take on Apple’s iPhoneVerizon went ahead and unleashed four new phones all at once targeted at the fall shopping season trying to get a share of AT&T’s iPhone dollars. The new lineup includes the Voyager and Venus from LG along with the narrow Samsung Juke and the Blackberry Pearl sporting EV-DO.

The headliner of this Verizon release party is the LG Voyager looking very similar to the iPhone from the outside with a large touchscreen on the face. Once you get your hands on the Voyager you’ll see that it’s a little bulkier than the iPhone and that touchscreen face actually hinges open to expose another display inside that faces a large QWERTY keyboard, hence the thickness. The Voyager also has V CAST Mobile TV, a microSD slot and a modest 2 megapixel camera.

The Samsung SGH-E840 is a mere .42″ thin and has a mirrored, tempered glass face to give it a smooth and sexy look. It also comes in a number of colors to choose from like Ice Silver, Candy Pink, Topaz Gold or Noble Blue.

The SGH-E840 also debuts some “touch sensitive keys” which work unlike normal normal keypad …
