Snoopy Flying Ace USB hub

Posted in USB by Conner Flynn on September 13th, 2009

Snoopy Flying Ace USB hubIf you are a Snoopy/Peanuts fan, you’ll want to add this Snoopy Flying Ace USB hub to your desktop collection. You probably already have a Snoopy laptop anyway. Just plug the Snoopy USB hub into your computer’s USB port and Snoopy and his plane will start moving.

You can pretend he’s fighting the Red Baron, despite the fact that there’s no Red Baron. And the fight will take place entirely in your imagination and on your desk and not in the sky. In fact the thing looks silly, moving up and down like a kid’s ride outside of a department store. But if you like such things it will cost you $58.67 USD. Video below.

Make Your Own Peanut Butter

Posted in Home by Conner Flynn on September 6th, 2008

Make Your Own Peanut ButterSome of you may prefer making your own foods rather then buying them from store shelves. If you choose to make your own peanut butter, well that’s just Skippy. Good for you. It will be fresher, not loaded with preservatives and other chemicals and you’ll get the respect of peanut enthusiasts like former President Jimmy Carter. Your sandwich of choice, PB&J will taste awesome.

Just pour 2 cups of peanuts and decide whether you want crunchy or smooth. After that, just spread it, eat and let it stick to the roof of your mouth. It will cost $50 starting at the end of the month. Might just be easier to buy it in the store, but at a few bucks a jar this machine will save you money.

Scented MP3 Players that stink

Scented MP3 Players that stink
I think we all want an mp3 player that does more the just pump out tunes. In this case, these mp3 players give off various smells. They only feature 256MB of storage, but they make up for that by acting like a human air freshener, with scents like chocolate, rose, lemon, strawberry and some others.

No Pine Tree car freshener smell? I would have thought that was a given. Chances are you, like I, are not going to get one. On the other hand if you walk around with a foul cloud about you like Pigpen from the Peanuts cartoon, this might help clear your personal airspace a bit. And I wouldn’t expect these to mask any flatulence problems by being in your pocket.

Life-size R2-D2 & C-3PO replicas
Join the dork side with these life-size R2-D2 & C-3PO replicas from Sideshow collectibles. I get it. It can be lonely being a Star Wars fan. I mean, you’ve got all your merchandise around you. Posters, movies, all those action figures still in the bubble. But life sized friends in your life? Sideshow Collectibles can help. Both of these droids are available for pre-order and they’ll ship sometime in the third quarter of this year.

Spending $5,950 for a life-size C-3PO, and $5,450 for R2-D2 will make you feel like you are actually part of the saga. Both figures are made from fiberglass and have lights and sounds powered by a set of AA batteries. Plus, they each come with their own display base and magnetically attached restraining bolt to make sure they stay your droid slaves. If you want to pre-order either one you’ll need a $950, non-refundable deposit. That’s probably peanuts compared to the money you’ve spent so far on your collection.

Snoopy laptop for cartoon computing

I’ve never been a big fan of the Peanuts gang myself, but apparently Epson is betting you are if this Laptop covered in Peanuts characters is any indication. Previously they offered us some Hello Kitty Laptops, so I guess they see the potential to branch out to other characters.

Make no mistake, this is not just a laptop with cartoon characters slapped on the case. It also comes loaded with Peanuts screensavers and wallpapers, icons and mouse pointers. The laptop itself features a 15 inch screen, a 1.73mhz Celeron processor, 1GB of ram, an 80GB hard drive, 4 USB ports, a CD burner / DVD drive, and it comes with Vista Home Premium. Obviously not all that awesome these days, but to a Snoopy lover, it just might be worth the outrageous price of $2,799.

Radiohead let consumers decide how much to payWhen Radiohead made their latest album “In Rainbows” available for download on the internet and left it up to the person on the other end of the connection to decide how much (or not) to pay it was viewed as a bold experiment. Now the results are in and we know how many people decided to open their virtual wallets and purses and how much they thought Radiohead’s work was worth.

Business Cards Of Peanuts

Posted in Printers by Darrin Olson on June 30th, 2007

TaberMe business cards printed on peanuts from Arigatou CoThere’s a company in Japan called Arigatou that’s in the business of etching words and symbols into food products such as beans, nuts, rice and pasta. Staying true to there niche they’ve now perfected a way to laser-inscribe text and company logos on the outsides of peanut shells, despite the uneven surface.

The product they’ve created is called “Taberu Me” which comes from the Japanese word “eat”, and most likely an abbreviation for the Japanese word for “business card”. The machine that makes the engraving uses a CO2 laser …
