Here’s a nasty looking PC case mod. I don’t know whether to admire it or run in fear while I still have my limbs. Apparently it was created by a Russian modder who was inspired by Doom 3. You have to love the detail work, right down to the blood on the chainsaw.

It’s much more than just Doom 3-style yellow paint on the exterior. Inside you’ll find an AMD64 Sempron 2600 + CPU, Geforce 6600GT graphics card and ASRock K8NF4G-SATA2 drive. Not that you can take your eyes off of the chainsaw.

If you are considering picking up a BlackBerry, why not get two while you are at it? Verizon is kicking off their “Buy One, Get One” promotion. Apparently the deal covers not only a second BlackBerry but a netbook, PC card, USB modem or MiFi.

As is usually the case, you’re getting the cheapest item free and it’s rebate-based, so you will have to pay for both devices and then wait with baited breath for your check to arrive in the mail. Apparently the promotion starts today and runs through until October 10th.

I’m not a WOW player, but this PC case with WOW art on it looks pretty damn sweet, featuring some Orc artwork. The translations make it difficult to figure out, but this is either a retail case or a PC case mod that will cost you $299.

An iPod is a great thing and the iPhone is even greater for many of us. The devices allow us to carry around huge music libraries without needing big catalogs of CDs. This casemod combines the shell of an old SNES console with the brains and guts of a modern PC. Anytime we see a CD sticking out of an SNES cartridge, we can’t help but smile. Modders quangDX and DuPPs took an old Super Nintendo and merged it with an Acer Aspire One A150 laptop. They call their new creation the aaSNES1.

And yes, they managed to mount a slot-loading DVDRW drive inside of the Super Mario World cartridge! But it wasn’t that simple. They didn’t have enough room inside the UK model SNES cartridge, but managed to cut things apart enough to get the drive to work. The eject button even ejects the DVD.

Wild casemods are nothing new. But this one is pretty unique. It has a menacing look and looks like it would keep you warm in place of a fire as you sip your Vodka.

There isn’t much info on it. Looks like bronze built around some Demon trapped Inside. Which makes it a great solid piece of furniture instead of a boring PC case.

Here’s a new and interesting way to geek up your home. Make it look just a little more steampunk with these Steampunk light switch plates. You might as well. They go with your bowler hat and handlebar mustache. We have just one request. Stop asking people to address you as Mr. Jules Verne. It’s kinda creepy.

Sadly you can’t buy these ready-made. But if you want them, there are instructions on how to create one of these for yourself. There are a variety of types you can create in various degrees of building difficulty. Hey why not?

Everything else you own Already has GPS navigation. Your car, your phone, even the Sony PSP has a GPS option. Now it’s time for the Nintendo DS to get into the GPS game. You know, in case you want to locate a gamestop.

Designed by China’s Fab Chain, the Ranger is a GPS module for your NDS Lite. Just plug the Ranger into the accessory port on the front of your NDS, and you’ll get turn-by-turn directions with Google Maps integration. It will display maps in both 2D and fake 3D perspective modes, and even has automatic day/night modes. The module even has its own built in rechargeable batteries, so it won’t drain your NDS’ power supply.

Here’s a cool PC case mod from Russian moder, Megalex, known as the Yellow Bulldozer PC. He must be a fan of construction vehicles. Megalex built the custom case around an Asus P3B-F motherboard, an Intel PIII 700MHz processor, 512MB of Ram, and a 500GB Seagate hard drive.

Looks like parts of it actually move. Pretty awesome. If he can make a few more that are rc controlled, he can use them to demolish things around the house. Or make them fight. Either way, it’s a win.

This Russian antique brewery PC case mod is awesomely steampunk and completely over-the-top. It’s hard to find the words to describe such a beast. Apparently this thing can fill your mug with beer. Though we have no idea how it works.

Steampunk, beer, modding…What’s not to love? And it’s been outfitted with plenty of lights so the party never has to stop. This is the way to do a project. A mod just isn’t a mod unless the endgame is serving beer.

Designed by Alissia Melka-Teichroew for AMT Studio, these vintage looking skeleton key USB drives go perfectly with your steampunk PC. They are ceramic encased memory sticks made to look like old Victorian era keys.

They hold either 2GB or 4GB. As well as using them with all your steampunk computers, they also add some style to your modern computer as well. Pretty clever idea.

Check out this wrist-worn PC, if you’re looking for something slightly Sci-Fi and nerdy. It’s the ultimate ultraportable. You’ll also get support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS modules. It comes with Windows CE or Linux, sporting features like tilt and silent reckoning for putting the device in standby.

The jawas aren’t the only ones abducting droids and tinkering with them. The modder known as Frenkie created this awesome R2-D2 case mod, using an old garbage can and a lot of mad skillz. He really did an awesome job and got almost all of the details.
