Pac Man and Pac Man S released for Facebook

Posted in Facebook by Conner Flynn on June 2nd, 2011

Pac Man has been and continues to be one of the most popular arcade games ever. It never gets old. I don’t know how many quarters I fed into that machine when I was younger and I can still go back and play it now and again.

Now Pac Man is headed to Facebook thanks to Namco Bandai Games Europe. You will be able to play the regular version of Pac-Man and Pac-Man S, a version of the game with social functions built in. Get playing and chomp some ghosts.

PAC-MAN is free app of the day on Amazon App Store for Android

Posted in Android by Conner Flynn on June 1st, 2011

Are you in the mood to play some Pac Man on Android? The app is available today on the Amazon App Store for free. It beats pumping quarters in the machine each time.

The app usually sells for 99 cents. And this is the full game, not a lite version. Just head over to the Amazon App Store and download it now. The game has two control methods, a virtual joystick and a swipe method. I can already hear the music.

Pac Man Arcade Cocktail Table

Posted in Games by Conner Flynn on November 28th, 2010

We could all use a retro arcade table that will also entertain our guests and this one is pretty awesome. The Pac Man Arcade Machine Cocktail Table comes with 13 classic arcade games, which include Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Rally X, Mappy, Xevious, Galaxian, Pac-mania, Rolling Thunder, Bosconian, Dragon Spirit and Galaga 88 and Dig Dug.

Those are some classics. And if you want to make some money, just charge them .25 to play each game. Though that might be a good way to make sure these guests never come back.

iPad and speakers get mounted on a bike

Posted in iPad by Conner Flynn on September 24th, 2010

Apple’s iPad can seemingly do anything and go anywhere. Now we have seen the tablet attached to a bike, along with speakers in front. We don’t have many details, but we do know that this guy will want to easily remove both iPad and speakers everytime he parks that bike.

That iPad cradle looks well made, but I still cringe about bumps and accidents killing the device. Anyway, it’s a cool setup. We like it.

Voting machine plays Pac-Man

Posted in DIY by Conner Flynn on August 22nd, 2010

Voting machines are pretty unreliable and prone to being easily hacked, so it wasn’t that hard to hack this Sequoia AVC EDGE voting machine to play Pac-Man. Pac-Man isn’t all that different from politics anyway. You have one bloated yellow bastard gobbling up all of the wealth and resources, while we all play the ghosts who try to stop them.

The machine has had it’s memory card formatted, installing DOS and MAME. It has had it’s share of rigged votes, no doubt, but now it can right that wrong by providing some fun.

Pac-Man Bookcase: There goes your new HDTV

Posted in Furniture by Conner Flynn on January 31st, 2010

Few things in life are as awesome as Pac-Man. Even though your wife would probably have some major problems with this Pac-Man bookcase, which looks all set to eat up that HDTV. But if you are not married, this is an awesome piece of decor.

This guy is called the “Puck-Man” Bookcase for legal reasons and comes from an Italian design firm, so it probably costs more than it’s worth. I’m thinking it needs some ghost bookshelves on the other walls. Maybe then it will leave your TV alone.

Pac-Man Chair looks hungry

Posted in Furniture by Conner Flynn on September 10th, 2009

Pac-Man Chair looks hungryA chair in the shape of Pac-Man just makes perfect sense. Especially if your room looks like a maze from the game. It’s only a concept right now, but it’s perfect for geeks and retro arcade lovers.

It makes an artistic statement that says that we are all ghosts when lounging in Pac-Man’s mouth. Or perhaps some of us are ghosts and others power-pellets. Now, if only it could gobble up certain guests on command…

30th anniversary Pac-Man lighter

Posted in Lighters by Conner Flynn on July 26th, 2009

30th anniversary Pac-Man lighterThere are not nearly enough lighters for gamers, so we were stoked to see these 30th anniversary Pac-Man lighters. These Zippos don’t just slap Pac-Man onto the outside either. They feature three pretty awesome designs.

We really dig No. 1 and 2. Our only problem with them is that it took 30 years to give us some awesome Pac-Man lighters. The actual 30th anniversary is next year, but it looks like we are off to a good start.

Video Game TattoosWe thought we would take a look at some questionable gaming tattoos. The kind that are either a bad idea or not well thought out, or just plain wrong. Gamers love getting tattoos of their favorite characters, but sometimes, they just need a friend to stop them from making a horrible mistake.

Friends don’t let friends make bad tattoo decisions. Unless both of you have been drinking heavily anyway. Some of the images are NSFW. Click through to check them all out.

Posted in Samsung by Conner Flynn on May 31st, 2009

Samsung F480 Games Edition unveiledFirst launched in the spring of 2008, the Samsung F480 is Samsung’s most successful touchscreen phone to date. It’s sold more than 5 million units worldwide (under various names. You may know it as the Samsung TouchWiz, Samsung Toco or Samsung F488. Yeah, it has an identity crisis).

Anyhow, now the F480 comes in a Games Edition, with five full games pre-installed, including “Pacman”, “Who wants to be a millionaire 2009″ and “Millenium Poker.” Those names don’t seem all that exciting to us, but your mileage may vary. Aside from that feature, the Samsung F480 Games Edition looks to have the same features of the original phone: QVGA touchscreen display, 5MP autofocus camera, Bluetooth and HSDPA connectivity.

Neon Pac-Man lightsThese geek-a-licious neon Pac-Man lights let you turn your dark abode into the classic video game. Well, almost. Your room would be missing all of the dots and power pellets. They look awesome and you get the original Inky, Blinky, Pinky, Clyde and Pac-Man. At 9 inches tall, they’re a nice size too. The full set is available right now on ebay.

PAC-MAN Mobile goes multiplayer

Posted in Games by Shane McGlaun on December 8th, 2008

PAC-MAN MobilePAC-MAN was one or the original arcade games that spawned a generation of gamers who fed the game all of their allowance in the form of quarters. As the home video game console emerged, PAC-MAN was one of the titles that virtually every Atari owner had in their library.

Bandai Namco announced recently that the mobile version of the arcade classic would be shipping soon in Europe and would include 256 levels in the single player game that faithfully recreates the original arcade version that gamers will have fond memories of.
