If you’re looking to keep tabs on your heart rate, then the Oregon Scientific SH201 is a wearable device for you. It tracks your projected fluid loss and alerts you to hydrate in order to get an optimal workout. So it tells you when you need to drink.

The device also measures calorie and percentage of fat burned/fitness and body mass index. It has three exercise profiles: jogging, running or cycling.

The latest 1080p action cam comes from Oregon Scientific. The ATC9K Action Camera will do 1080p video, five megapixel photos, is waterproof to 20 meters, comes with an IR remote, and also has an integrated G meter.

The Magic Weather Forecaster from Oregon Scientific is perfect if you need to know what’s going on with the weather. The gadget features weather icons built into see through glass, making it look a tad different. The Magic Weather Forecaster also displays the current time, ambient temperature and of course weather reports on its LCD screen.

The device has a light sensor that automatically adjusts the screen’s brightness so you can always see it no matter the lighting. The Oregon Scientific Magic Weather Forecaster will cost you $204.

As usual Oregon Scientific has outed some new products at this years CES. First there’s the $129.99 i.wakeup Sunrise Clock arriving in February, that simulates dawn’s early light. More specifically it uses “gentle light to help users wake up naturally without the usual disturbing sounds of a blaring alarm.”

The company is also introducing two new Appliance Managers. One is an advanced wireless version for $79.99 to help users keep an eye on how much energy up to eight appliances are using. The second is an individual version for $29.99 that keeps track of just one.

Oregon Scientific is no stranger to weather stations with built-in alarm clocks and such, but their latest release should please environmentalists as well since it’s solar-powered.

The device has a “Picture in Picture” feature with caller ID, speaker phone with auto answer function, 10 melody ring tones, ability to store 50 phone numbers, 10 redial logs and 30 caller ID logs.

Sadly it looks like it will only be available in Hong King. At least for now. The price is HK$1,798.00 or $231.99. If anything can help save landlines, it may as well be this.

Here’s an interesting laptop to get your child if you’ve recently spawned a next generation hero by getting it on with Catwoman or some other costumed freak. Or if your kid is named Robin and you dress him up in a tiny costume maybe. Oregon Scientific is making sure they get a slice of the Dark Knight pie, by offering your children this laptop sprouting bat wings. When closed it looks like Batman’s chest. Or as your child would say, “It look like dada” just before you leave for the next Comic Book convention.

The Meteo Watch from Oregon Scientific will have the weather on your wrist whenever you need it. Unlike others, it doesn’t download weather from the air-waves, instead, it measures barometric pressure trends. This gives it a fairly accurate forecast for 12 to 24 hours in the future. And it’s not totally ugly either.

It’s got a reverse LCD display that displays one of 4 icons that include sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy and rainy. It also has a stopwatch function that goes up to 60 hours should you need one. Aside from that, there’s the typical calendar, alarm, and backlight, plus it’s water resistant up to 30 meters. You can get one for $69.99.

Oregon Scientific is set to debut the next generation of its popular hands-free, waterproof action cameras for the YouTube crowd. You’ll find the new ATC3K and ATC5K pricing at around $150 and $200, respectively.

These new action cameras, like previous Oregon Scientific ones, are designed to strap on to just about anything so you can record your crazy outdoor ventures in .avi format. They are waterproof up to 10 feet, record VGA at 30fps and support SD memory cards for memory storage.

I’m pretty sure the Coneheads own this weather forecaster from Oregon Scientific. If they don’t, they should see if they have a baby missing. This one has 2001: A Space Odyssey type good looks for sure. It’s definitely a flashback to 1960s space-age and Eames era decorating style. The BAR210 features easy-to-read numbers, and you can switch easily between time and temperature with a wave of your hand.

Oregon Scientific and Lucasfilm want to help your kids learn Star Wars style. To that end they’ve unveiled some new Star Wars themed learning laptops targeted at different age groups – Darth Vader (ages 5 and up, $60) and R2-D2 (ages 3 and up, $25).

The Star Wars laptops are currently available as electronic learning devices for youngsters. The Darth Vader laptop offers over 50 activities, letting children “pick-up the interactive lightsaber and join the iconic villain on a variety of missions.” Activities include logic, memory and music games and the laptop is equipped with a QWERTY keyboard. The R2-D2 laptop, meanwhile, lets kids learn by “expanding their vocabulary, having fun with numbers, and developing logic and memory skills” via interactive adventures with R2-D2 and C-3PO.

Not only is this digital meat thermometer wireless, but it also talks in order to alert you of the status of the things you’ve got on the grill.
