Looks like Nyko isn’t afraid of adding a bit of color to your Wii accessories. Nyko’s Kama wireless Wii Nunchuk can be had now, online, before the official retail launch coming in May.

Should you decide to buy now, you can get a limited edition grey, black, pink or gold version(The gold is really black with a gold bird on it) that will sync wirelessly to your Wiimote adapter. The limited edition won’t be available in stores, so if you want some cool colors you better get them fast. Am I the only one who thinks these things look naughty now that they have some color?

Nyko’s wireless Wii nunchuk adapter is getting ready to assault consumers with a whole lotta ugly, and ruin the Wii controllers good looks. Both the adapter and it’s receiver just hit the FCC, to which they said “Damn that thing is ugly. I’m not even sure I can photograph that.” To which the other guy says, “Two rulers almost always distract the eye.”

Some devices just shouldn’t spawn kids I guess. Just spend your money on games, rather then ugly up your beautiful Wii. I’ll keep the wire. Interestingly, the rulers are nice.

Nyko is shipping the first third-party Wii Guitar Hero controller. Nerds and wannabe rockers everywhere can celebrate. Turns out it’s in the shape of a Telecaster. Just like the official guitar/controller, the Wiimote slips inside of it.

It will cost you about $50, which is about $10 cheaper than the Activision Les Paul. The white version includes black and pink pickguards, the blonde edition comes with black and white.

We’ve come across our share of Wii accessories, some cool, some odd, all entertaining. So we thought we’d make a list of some of the stranger Wiimote gadgets and celebrate this odd gaming phenomenon. So here’s a list of some of our favorite Wii items Wii either wish for or wish didn’t exist, in no particular order. The Wii sure has brought some strangeness to gaming.

When going for that authentic game feel, sometimes it’s not enough to just slap your Wiimote into a fake plastic(And often silly looking) gun. We’ll, the modder that came up with this one obviously would agree. And he did something about it. He lovingly stuffed the Wiimote’s innards into a custom-built Colt .45 case.

Why settle for the Nyko pistol when you can have a Wii weapon that will actually get you shot by the police? Very nice job, but I have to wonder if they are a tad too much in love with the Wii for their own good. After all, it must have taken some serious time and geek devotion to complete this project. Those hours could have been spent playing, with any off hours devoted to the search for some geek goddess who might actually understand their obsession. So goes the familiar tale of a geek and his passions…Truth is, sometimes they use guns to compensate for having a tiny Wiimote.

Earlier this month during CES 2008 Nyko announced a wireless Nunchuck controller for the Wii. The Nunchuck had the wireless built in and a small adapter attached to the bottom of the Wiimote to connect them, giving you cord-free gaming action for about $30.

Now Nyko has taken into account the fact that many Wii owners already have the Nunchuck controller and really don’t need another. For this Nyko is now launching the Wireless Adapter for the Wii Nunchuck. This adapter runs on two AA’s and connects to the bottom of the Nunchuck remote, wrapping up the cord around it. A wireless adapter connects to the bottom of the Wiimote and lets you now use your existing Nunchuck and rid yourself of the cord in between. You can now completely perfect your arm-flailing windmill style of boxing without the risk of choking yourself or others, but of course there is still the risk of hitting them.

Along with Nyko’s new wireless Nunchuk controller, the company is showing off their Perfect Shot Wii gun. There have been some complaints about the Wii Zapper being very clumsy, especially in the trigger area, so this should be a great alternative.

It’s very reminiscent of the original Wii zapper in some ways and also looks and feels more like a real gun, with a decent grip. The Wiimote goes right on top, it has an easy trigger and shoots well.

Easily overlooked next to the countless heavy hitters coming out of CES 2008, here we have this great new wireless controller for the Nintendo Wii.

Nyko’s new Wireless Nunchuk controller lets you play games without the annoying cable getting in your way, while you punch, fight or swing. How many times have you been in the zone only to be pulled out by the limits of the cable?

This isn’t the first Wii cooler we’ve seen and probably won’t be the last, but even after the latest firmware upgrade and hot WiiWare games in the works, needing something to cool the console down due to intense processing heat has never crossed our minds.

I guess there could be a chance that your flailing around during game play could heat up the room quite a bit, or you have the Wii running in a small, unventilated cabinet or some other odd situation so by all means if you are worried about it overheating the device runs a very reasonable $15 and certainly couldn’t hurt. It connects discretely onto the back of the console and has a pass through power connection so it doesn’t require moding the console or even needing another electrical outlet.

Nyko has a new charging accessory that can help prolong your game play with the Nintendo Wii game console. The Charge Station can simultaneously charge two Wii Remotes by simply resting them in the dual charging docks.
