N64 casemod of Princess Peach’s castle |
We’ve seen more Nintendo casemods than there are coins in the Mario Realm, but this one is really over the top. It’s a wild and super creative version of Peach’s castle.
At first glance it looks like a cake, but nope, that there’s a mod dedicated to the Princess herself on top of a fully-functional Nintendo 64 console. According to the ebay ad, “the exterior of the castle has been molded to look like the bricks and roof tiles, then painted. The mural of Princess Peach is a very detailed mosaic and the five flags are made of cloth.”

Your eyes will never be the same after taking in this abomination. Someone should put it out of it’s misery, but since it is fueled by the souls of all your past dead Mario lives, it remains undead. You can’t kill it, you can’t reason with it and it’s ugliness can not be stopped.
This casemod combines the shell of an old SNES console with the brains and guts of a modern PC. Anytime we see a CD sticking out of an SNES cartridge, we can’t help but smile. Modders quangDX and DuPPs took an old Super Nintendo and merged it with an Acer Aspire One A150 laptop. They call their new creation the aaSNES1.
The Nintendo Game and Watch is fun, but the replay value really sucks. So why not turn it into a TV? Inside this gutted Nintendo Game and Watch Donkey Kong Jr. is a mini television, complete with LCD display.
Atari and Nintendo seem to get all the glory when it comes to case mods, but there are those out there with a love of Colecovision as well. Probably those who love to play the Smurf game. This mini ColecoVision does everything the original console did, it’s just smaller. A full 50 square inches smaller and 1 pound lighter to be exact.
