Nintendo DS Lite now in Cobalt Blue on Black

Nintendo DS Lite now in Cobalt Blue colorAs if Nintendo hasn’t sold enough DS’s in quite enough colors it looks like another one is on the way, this time sporting Cobalt Blue/Black. We thought the bundled colors were pretty nice and that Pikachu model was pretty neat but we are definitely impressed with this new Blue color. Circuit City has this new color up on their site priced at the usual $130 but not available for order quite yet. You can ask them to let you know when it’s ready however, and help Nintendo pull just a little bit further ahead.

Solar powered handheld Nintendo emulator

Solar powered handheld Nintendo emulator
Here’s a third-party handheld Nintendo emulator that doesn’t look like total garbage. Though it has the typical generic name of Solar MP4, this little device actually has some impressive features. It can play MP4 videos up to 320×240 in size on its 3.5 inch TFT screen, it also has built-in emulators for NES, GameBoy and GameBoy Color games. Of course you have to use ROMS loaded via an SD card, but those are easy enough to find. It can even function as an e-Book reader with the ability to read out loud any text file as long as it’s written in English or Chinese.

And of course, it has a DS-like design with solar panels, so you can play games using the power of the sun. Not bad for a knock off. You can get one for $123.32.

Mario USB mushroom lamp from Brando

Mario USB mushroom lamp

It doesn’t get much better designwise, then a mushroom lamp that is clearly inspired by the Mario games from Nintendo. It’s a classic that’s instantly recognizable and nostalgic.

Now you finally have that last elusive piece of the puzzle and can decorate your room to look just like the Mushroom Kingdom. I like the green 1up mushroom because it reminds me of countless extra lives. They’re cute, colorful and cheap at $13. They are sure to win you the Princess, or at the very least your friend Luigi will want to hang out more.

Nintendo DS Lite bundles in rose & gold

Nintendo DS Lite bundles in rose & gold

2 great new bundles from Nintendo. Looks like they are taking the boy/girl route here. For the boys, the Gold model comes with Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and sports a special Triforce logo on the DS. For the girls(presumably), the Metallic Rose model gives you Nintendogs and adds a paw print in place of the Zelda logo.

Other then the colors and logos being new, you’ll get the same old DS Lite you know and love. If you are a fan of repackaged Nintendo handhelds that have had a repaint, you can pick one up for about $130.

Hori Fighting Stick WiiThe Nintendo Wii game controllers are without-a-doubt a hit with a large number of gamers, but they just can’t compete with the classic arcade style Fighting Stick controller coming soon from Hori. It may not be much help with Wii Sports games like bowling or tennis but it will definitely come in handy with any one-on-one combat in your future.

Few details are available for the Hori Fighting Stick Wii, but we can see that it comes in colors to match the game console in white and blue donning the Wii name. It’s expected …
