Posted in T-Mobile by Conner Flynn on July 13th, 2011

A new subscription service will let certain T-Mobile customers get more information about unknown callers. The new caller ID service for certain phones will display the name, city, and state of callers, including unknown callers, not just the people in your contact list. Now you can know for sure who is calling and from where.

Name ID will cost $3.99 per month after a free 10-day trial. Right now it’s available for the Samsung Exhibit 4G, but will make it’s way to other handsets after awhile. The T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide should get it before the month is over.

Apparently the keyboard also feels a lot like the G2 keyboard. The phone also apparently weighs in at a little bit more than the G2, so we will see how it feels. Nice to see it clearly for once.

Posted in Tablet PC by Shane McGlaun on August 12th, 2010

I never really thought I would like a table computer until I used my iPad. I really like the tablet form factor, but that iPad is too fragile for working stiffs who are out in the field all day. A new tablet machine that meets military specs for ruggedness has been unveiled by Armor.

The machine is called the X10gx and it has a 10.4-inch transreflective LCD with a resolution of 1024 x 768 that can be read in direct sunlight. That screen accepts both pen based and touch input to boot. Storage is to a 64GB SSD with 80GB or 160GB options.

Is this the T-Mobile myTouch 3G HD?

Posted in T-Mobile by Conner Flynn on July 28th, 2010

We don’t have any confirmation as to whether or not this device is a legitimate leak or not, but it has been dubbed the T-Mobile myTouch 3G HD. Speculation is that it could be an upcoming HSPA+ phone from T-Mobile.

Details are few and far between at the moment, but it does look like the silhouette of the phone that was leaked in the T-Mobile HSPA+ teaser page. That’s definitely a large touchscreen, and the Genius button introduced on the myTouch 3G Slide is back, alongside physical home, menu and back buttons.
