If you can’t wait to get your hands on this new handset, you won’t have to wait long. It will be available in the fourth quarter of 2009 for about $121. Obviously this one is geared toward the fairer sex. So, what do you think ladies?

The monitors also help prevent the musicians from losing their hearing over time. Emerging artists may not be able to afford the same high-end ear monitors as the big stars, but they can get custom monitors on the cheap.

Ultimate Ears makes a full line of headphones for iPod’s and other MP3 players as well as a full line of professional in ear monitors. The company has announced a new budget pair of monitors called the UE 4 Pro that retail for $399.

Thin and Sharp edge of this product may cause hurt.” You don’t want to experience the dreaded hurt, so be careful.

Each kit comes with skin and accessory stickers at prices between $14.99 and $24.99. They also carbon fiber, wood and leather covers. Maybe it’s just me, but do you really want to cover your beloved gadget in this crap? I mean, if you love your device, you probably love or at least admire it’s looks.

sonyxwalkman-sbThe Sony Walkman has been around for decades. When I was a kid, the name was tied to big yellow cassette tape players. Later the Walkman was a huge set of earphones with a silver antenna a mile long for tuning FM radio. Today the Walkman name is on mobile phones and MP3 players.

Sony has announced a new top-of-the-line Walkman MP3 player called the X-series. The series has integrated Wi-Fi, Slacker Radio, YouTube and integrated noise reduction technology. The device is optimized for both audio and video with a 3-inch OLED touch screen with high contrast and fast response rates.

All I ask is that you have good taste in music if you absolutely have to use this in public with your portable media player or notebook. We don’t know what kind of power the speaker has, but obviously it won’t be damaging many eardrums.

You Rock guitar to debut at E3 in June

yourockguitar-sbBack in 2007, I went to E3 for the first time. 2007 happened to be the first year of the much smaller E3 show and it sucked so badly I never went back. E3 is going back to the massive show that gamers loved for so many years for 2009 and new games and products galore should be unveiled at the show.

One of the products debuting at E3 will be the You Rock Guitar. Right now, all we have are a few details, exactly what the guitar looks like won’t be known until E3 kicks off and the product is unveiled. What we do know is that the guitar will work for all major consoles and can connect to a PC as well.

podio-sbI haven’t been into riding bikes since I was like 10. There are lots of people in my area though that are really into riding bikes. I always wonder how safe it is to ride a bike in a city while wearing an MP3 player that blocks your hearing. After all, they wouldn’t be able to hear all the rednecks shouting profanities at them.

A company from Taiwan has a new MP3 player designed for portability and use without headphones called the Podio. The device is fully integrated into an 88mm long cylinder-shaped micro speaker. The music player portion of the device has 2GB of internal storage.

iRiver T5 gets official

iRiver T5 gets officialiRiver Japan has announced the T5, a pen drive sized MP3 player that takes quite a pretty picture. The DAP comes with a monochrome display, FM tuner and a microphone.

You can get it in 2GB and 4GB flavors and it supports MP3 and WMA playback. The device measures just 78×25×14mm and weighs only 26.3 grams. The 4GB model sells in Japan for $65.

Creative ZEN MX PMP available in May

Creative ZEN MX PMP available in MayCreative is nothing if not creative, but they have a good thing going with the Zen, so they will release another version of the ZEN Media player series on May 5th. The device measures 83.2mm x 55mm x 11.9mm and weighs just 66 grams.

Some other features are a 2.5-inch (320×240 pixel) display, SDHC expansion and supports WMV, DivX, MP3, WMA and AAC file formats. The 8GB and 16GB models are priced at $102 and $144, respectively.

In addition to its windmill and solar cells, it can now charge its internal battery with external electricity sources. It doesn’t sound very green, but you can charge its 4,000 mAh battery using a USB adapter or a car cigarette lighter. Why not just leave it by the window to have it fully charged?

According to the company, one hour of sun and wind will give you 30 minutes of talk time in a cellphone. Fully charged, the K3 can load the battery cells for an average mobile phone five times, or an MP3 player more than ten times.

duracellusbcharger-sbOut of all of the gadgets I have laying around my home, lots of them charge via USB. My iPhone uses USB to charge and all of the MP3 players around do as well. That means that if I want to take the gadgets in my car with me on a trip all I really need is a USB charger.

Duracell has announced a new USB charger designed to sit completely inside the DC outlet in your car. The device is low profile and when plugged in and when ready to use the USB port glows blue. Duracell says that the device can charge the iPhone and any other USB item.
