Well, this one is from Sunflex and is called the Snakebyte Premium Remote XL+ Controller for Wii with MotionPlus. Wii Remote Plus is official

Posted in Wii by Conner Flynn on September 29th, 2010

Nintendo has been pretty slow out of the gate since the Wii debuted in one way or another. Now Nintendo is releasing something that should have been released at least a year ago. The Wii Remote Plus.

Nintendo today revealed the new controller which combines the original Wii Remote and its add-on, Wii MotionPlus, in the same controller.

Wii Remote Plus leaked in FlingSmash bundle?

Posted in Wii by Conner Flynn on September 24th, 2010

We’ve been waiting for a Wiimote with built-in MotionPlus for a while. Nyko already offers the Wand+ with the MotionPlus gyros built-in. But Nintendo has been taking the slow approach. Now we have spotted this upcoming first party, MotionPlus-required FlingSmash title on a GameStop order page with “Wii Remote Plus inside!”.

However, the product description still mentions attaching the MotionPlus “accessory” to your Wii Remote, but the Wiimote in the picture looks a bit different, with some curved text below the Wii logo. A spokesperson said the Wii Remote Plus “is real” but “We have nothing to announce on this at the moment.”.

Do you have freakishly small hands? If so, the Wiimote is probably too big for you. Good thing Power A has your back with this new MiniRemote and MiniChuck. These controllers are 35% smaller. Great for those of small hand, little people, grandmothers and kids.

This retails for $49.99 and is due out in September. They are fully compatible with MotionPlus, and feature large buttons that are easy to find with your tiny fingers.

Nintendo Wiimote RVL-036 clears the FCC

Posted in Wii by Conner Flynn on May 20th, 2010

Anyone would look at that image and instantly recognize it as a Wiimote. The Bluetooth device just passed through the FCC with flying colors courtesy of Foxconn. Not much detail, but there’s the new RVL-036 model number.

We don’t know what makes it so special, but we hope they’ve finally integrated the MotionPlus add-on into the controller. It would be nice if they made the design easier on the wrist too, but that’s just wishful thinking on our part.

Nyko Wand + has MotionPlus built in

Posted in Wii Accessories by Conner Flynn on January 8th, 2010

Last year Nyko introduced the Wand, their version of the Wiimote. This year they update it, outdoing Nintendo by incorporating Wii MotionPlus technology into one single controller. That’s what Nintendo gets for being slow.

I’m glad I didn’t buy one of those MotionPlus accessories. Now I can get this and have a less bulky controller. The Wand + reduces the controller’s overall size and should give you a more comfortable gaming experience.
