Do you have a spare Mini Cooper in your garage? If so, maybe you can make an awesome gaming chair out of it like Designer David Gawthorpe did with this halfcut of a Mini Cooper. It took two-years to do, but he stuck with it and the end result is pretty stunning.

It opens up to reveal a force feedback chair, speakers, a racing wheel, and pedals for all your racing games. There’s also a mini fridge, strobe lights and even a smoke machine. Beneath the seat there is an Xbox 360 console. It will cost you $12,883 (£8000) and it is in London.

Look no further for a brilliant fridge concept. The Flatshare Fridge was created by Stefan Buchberger from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna for the annual Electrolux Design Lab competition. The idea is to have a fridge that is perfectly suited for college kids who have roommates.

It’s modular design features separate compartments that allow each ‘flatmate’ to have their own mini fridge. Because nobody likes to share and it’s just good to keep your stuff from colliding with someone else’s stuff. Not everyone has good hygiene, or good taste. No one is getting the short end of the stick with this design either, as each section has a tall area for bottles and a smaller side for other stuff.

Now here is the ultimate manly tool box. This baby from Kobalt is nearly four and a half feet tall with LED lighting, it’s own Pioneer sound system, a mini-fridge for your beers and a four-plug powerstrip built in.

It basically allows you to live in your garage. At 53-inches, it has enough trays and drawers for all your needs. In fact it will hold up to 4,000 pounds of weight. The 3-way Pioneer sound system is on top so it can radiate everywhere, the fridge is in the bottom left. After you get this thing in the garage, the only left to do is hang up some nude pics and invite some friends over. It will cost you $1,600.

No matter what the movie or property, there are always some ideas that just don’t fly. Especially when it comes to the mega-merchandising of Star Wars. Some are neat, while some are better left unspoken of. Back in 1999 when Jar Jar was born, Pepsi and Lucasarts brainstormed and came up with a bunch of Star Wars promotional products. These are the rejects.

How about a Han Solo carbonite fridge? The Death Star cooking meat in the form of a grill? It’s a shame that these never came to be. I mean, how cool is an AT-AT Walker chair caddy? Or a Darth Vader gumball machine that dispenses mini death stars. See them all after the jump.

This little Iwavecube personal microwave is pretty self-explanatory. It’s measures just 10.5″x12″x10″ so it doesn’t take up a lot of room, but you aren’t going to be putting a big microwaveable TV dinner in there either. Have one of these at your desk and you avoid trips to the break room, keeping up your introvert profile and avoiding awkward conversations while your waiting for your stuff to heat.

Unfortunately, unlike the USB Mini Fridge, USB power just doesn’t cut it for running the Iwavecube and it will require a standard outlet. And if your office is like ours and frowns on plugging in personal appliances at your desk, I can think of a number of other handy places for it like my TV room, home office, wet bar, in my car, etc.

We’re often surprised here at the ‘Brick by the different types of things that companies come up with which are powered by a USB connection. Most do seem to make a lot of sense though; people are spending more and more time at their computers and most of these devices don’t require a lot of juice to power them. This far infrared heating pad is a good example, offering the benefits of infrared heat through the convenience of a USB connection.

It looks like that USB Mini Fridge we saw earlier this year, not unlike Spiderman, has had it’s suit changed from red to black and has come up with some advanced powers. Now this little fridge that snugly fits a single 12 ounce can will not only cool it down, but can also heat it up.

The USB Mini Fridge and Heater appears to carry the same shape and always-on blue LED lighting, but now with the flick of the inline switch on the cord can heat up its contents by by 34°F or cool it down by 28°F. The little refrigerator/heater can achieve these temp changes in a matter of 5 minutes and is powered by a standard USB connection to just about any computer.

The iHome iHC5S is one of those incredible multi-gadgets that pack maybe one-too-many features into a single system. Fortunately in this case the features all seem to pretty much go together, unlike the stranger combination found Mini-Fridge we saw earlier this month.

iHome has put together a clock radio that connects wirelessly via the Handsfree, Headset, AVRCP and A2DP Bluetooth profiles to give a system that integrates with Bluetooth enabled mobile phones. The Clock Radio Speaker System, as iHome descriptively calls it, has the ability to receive streaming music from your phone and play it through the 4 built-in stereo speakers. It also lets you control the playback through the system or an included remote control. The alarm clock also allows you to wake up to a buzzer, radio or the streamed music from your phone.

The Cooltone Mini Fridge provides an interesting combination of popular dorm room items into one “cool” package. This refrigerator has a 22 liter capacity which is enough to hold 20 standard beverage cans and keep them cold, but there’s much, much more.
