The Application Store is coming in July. It’s chock full of applications too. Here’s a brief rundown. eBay has an auction application for the iPhone—available from the store for free. Loopt is an application that uses CoreLocation services to find people near you, you stalker. A dedicated TypePad client will be available for free. How about the AP delivering a news channel, that can handle photos, news, and video from the AP network. Mow Cow is a music application that allows you to have a band in your pocket, just be careful where you play. Major League Baseball even got in on the act with a baseball app for stats, results, and video. Modality will let you see anatomical images and really zoom in for some queasy fun. And that’s not a complete list either.

Cingular Releases GPS Navigation System with 3D Maps in U.S.

Cingular-TelenavCingular Wireless has become the first wireless carrier in the U.S. to offer a wireless navigation system with 3D maps. The new system will be featured on the Nokia E62 device and utilizes an enhanced version of TeleNav GPS Navigator.

The TeleNav GPS Navigator system will give customers 3D moving maps on the Nokia E62′s large, high-resolution screen. The system works much like an in-car navigation system; you received turn-by-turn directions while driving and the 3D maps turn, move and stop as the driver does the same, while also displaying images of the streets the driver …

loopt is a new mobile service that allows you to see where your friends are located and also broadcast your current location to a select group of friends. The loopt service will allow you to remain connected to all the places and events around you.

Your location can be updated manually or automatically. A manual update requires you to set your location to an address or the last location you were at using the website. Automatic updates utilize the GPS in your phone to locate your phone every twenty minutes.
