Logitech Wireless Keyboard Touch K400

Logitech is set to release it’s latest compact wireless keyboard, the Touch K400. This good looking keyboard is powered by 2 AA batteries and features a 2.4GHz radio frequency that will let it work from up to 10 meters.

Other features include a built-in 3.5-inch touchpad, left/right mouse buttons, a tiny USB receiver that can be stowed away on the back of the body and it supports Windows 7, Vista and XP. The Logitech Wireless Keyboard Touch K400 will go on sale on July 29th for 4,480 Yen (or about $57).

Logitech’s MX518 optical gaming mouse has been around for awhile, and it is finally getting an upgrade as the new G400. The outside design hasn’t changed much. It’s grey in color and has a cable that’s “thinner and twenty-five percent lighter.”

The new stuff is all on the inside. The optical sensor is two times as sensitive with a maximum 3,600 DPI resolution that maintains a tracking speed of 140 inches per second. If you drop $50 you can get a pre-order from Logitech in the US and it will be available on June 19th.

You have to love that tactile feeling you get when you use your mouse’s scroll wheel. Logitech is hoping to give you more of that feeling with the M325 wireless mouse. It features a new “micro-precise” scroll wheel with 72 tiny ratchets, which is a lot more than your mouse wheel has.

Other features include an 18-month battery life and it uses a Logitech Unifying Receiver. If you absolutely must have this scroll wheel, it can be yours for $40 later this month, or £30 right now if you are in the UK. Get clickin’.

Logitech Wireless Mouse M515 works for up to two years without recharge

Logitech has designed a mouse specifically for use on the sofa. The Wireless Mouse M515 has a sealed bottom case that lets you use it on soft surfaces without getting snagged and caught on the fabric. It can also be used on more traditional computing surfaces as well.

Also, the M515 has up to two-years of battery life thanks to a hand-detection sensor that puts the mouse to sleep when it’s not being used. It also features Logitech’s Hyper-Fast scrolling wheel and Unifying USB micro receiver required for the laptop or home theater PC. The M515 will ship to Europe in April for £49.99 (about $80).

Logitec (no not keyboard and mouse maker Logitech) has just released the new LBD-A12SAK/MW drive, so you can store data and record Blu-ray discs right on your Mac Pro at 12x.

This is really handy if you have to make tons of backups, or just plain like to watch Blu-ray movies on your Mac Pro all the time, otherwise you likely won’t need this one. Nothing on pricing yet, but it should be reasonable.

I have been using Logitech keyboards for years and years now and think they are some of the best out there. I have tended to stick to wired keyboard like the old illuminated Keyboard. Logitech has a new wireless version of the Illuminated Keyboard that looks pretty good though.

The keyboard is called the Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800. The keyboard connects to the computer with the 2.4GHz Logitech Unifying receiver. That means that if you have a Logitech wireless mouse you only need that one small USB connection.

The Logitech Wireless Combo MK520 peripheral bundle comes with a mouse and a keyboard. All wireless and with one-touch media controls. It features quiet, low-profile Logitech Incurve keys which are easy on your fingers. The company claims that it has a three-year battery life, but that depends on how often you use it.

The laser mouse sports an ambidextrous design with soft rubber side grips, a one-year battery life and a high-performance laser that allows smooth tracking on most surfaces. Both models use Logitech’s small Unifying receiver which can remain in your USB port on your notebook without getting in the way. The range is up to 10 meters, and comes with 128-bit AES keyboard encryption.

That cool set of wireless headphones isn’t the only piece of wireless gaming hardware that Logitech is whipping out today. Logitech has also unveiled a new wireless gaming mouse called the G700.

The G700 uses the cool new nano receiver from Logitech that takes up very little space and can even be left plugged in on gaming notebooks. The mouse has a battery good for hours of gaming per charge.

Mouse Computer has announced their latest gaming desktop with the launch of the NEXTGEAR i700PA5-SP. This one is priced at 289,800 Yen (or $3,246) and powered by an Intel Core i7-960 CPU.

Some other specs include 12GB of PC3-10600 RAM, a pair of X25-M 80GB SSDs in RAID 0 plus a 1TB HDD SATA II, two nVidia GeForce GTX285 graphics in SLI, DVD Super Multi, Microsoft Side Winder X3 mouse, Logitech Access Keyboard 600 and Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit running it all.

Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 with three year battery life

You can expect the keyboard and mouse of Logitech’s Wireless Desktop MK710 to get three years of battery life according to the company. We can only assume they used some sort of black magic, by sacrificing a microsoft keyboard to their gods.

It’s designed to “cradle” your fingertips, which should be comfortable. The sculpted mouse has “hyper-fast” scrolling, and it’s all wireless. Europe will be getting the MK710 later this month, the US in April. It will cost you $100.

A new app for the iPod touch and iPhone called the Touch Mouse app magically transforms your iPhone or iPod touch into a wireless trackpad and keyboard which can be used in conjunction with your computer. It will perform pretty much like a typical mouse, allowing you to point, click, scroll and type from a distance.

Interestingly it can be used in any application no matter the platform, Mac or PC. The Touch Mouse app also works over Wi-Fi, so you can use it anywhere in the house. Now that is a handy app.

Magic Mouse draining Bluetooth keyboard batteries?

Looks like several users on Apple’s Discussion Boards are claiming that their Bluetooth keyboards have been devouring batteries like crazy since they started using a Magic Mouse. Even after switching to rechargeable batteries and running all updates, the problem continues. Most of these users claim that they need new keyboard batteries weekly. That ain’t good.

The theory is that the Magic Mouse is preventing the keyboard from going into sleep mode, which makes sense. After one user swapped his Magic Mouse with a Logitech model, the problem was solved. Another user claims that Apple Tech Support says that this is a known Bluetooth driver issue and that a fix is on the way.

The device is called the Lapdesk N315 and it measures 367 x 260 x 11mm and weighs 800 grams. The desk is designed to keep the notebook heat away from your lap and keep you cool. The desk also has a retractable mouse pad for your portable mouse.
