Create your own lightsaber like a real Jedi
You can buy any number of lightsabers. Whether in lamp form, Wii attachment, or even a lightsaber training game. But this Master Replicas Force FX Lightsaber Construction Set allows you to mix and match pieces, creating your own custom weapon.

The kit includes 3 pommels, 3 handles, 3 center bands, 3 front bodies, 3 emitters and a tri-color blade that can switch between red, green and blue. That gives you over 1000 possible combinations. One downside to this cool toy is that the blade is only illuminated by a single LED, which means you won’t get the “rising out of the hilt” effect when you turn it on. But it does have all the motion activated sound effects. All the pieces are metal, so your lightsaber will look very cool and authentic.

Star Wars Poker Chips
What happens in Bespin stays in Bespin. When you are taking in Cloud city, otherwise known as Bespin, and you sit at the table to play a round of cards hoping to score a Millenium Falcon, you don’t want to use boring old poker chips. You want the power of the force. You’ll need it too, players like Lando and Han are tough. How do you think they won the ship?

The set even features a chrome dealer token that looks like the Death Star, plus a set of translucent chips illustrated by artist Russell Walks. You get 50 blue Luke Skywalker chips, 50 blue Obi-Wan Kenobi chips, 50 green Yoda chips and of course 50 red Darth Vader chips. The case even has 72 LEDs that make the chips glow like lightsabers when they’re stacked in their slots. Now that should make other players quake in their boots. The fun doesn’t end there. You also get 2 casino-quality card decks that come in their own foil boxes.

Camy Light Sword Wiimote Holsters For Jedi Action

Posted in Wii,Wii Accessories by Conner Flynn on January 21st, 2008

Camy Light Sword Wiimote Holsters
Would be Jedis of the Wii variety now have another weapon at their disposal. Camy’s Pro Gear Wii Light Swords are similar to this lightsaber attachment we told you about in November, but with a strange off center saber.

They are colored plastic Wiimote holders available in three “ultra bright” colors. If you wish to instill not fear but laughter, you can flip a switch and light up the night sky with your dorky laser blade. The swords are slated for a May/June release, with no word on price just yet. You can always just settle for having a light saber lamp nearby too.

Star Wars LED Lightsaber lamps

The lamp of a JediThese Star Wars lightsaber lamps are just the thing for geek lighting in your humble abode. Plus, I would think they would be easy to grab should a Sith Lord or agent of the Empire suddenly attack you in the middle of the night.

They won’t light up a whole room or anything, running on just AAA batteries, but they will emit a subtle LED glow. Just enough for visitors to sense a minor tremor of coolness in the force. They come in your choice of Jedi green and Sith red.

Interactive Star Wars lightsaber game

Interactive Star Wars lightsaber game

This is the perfect Christmas gift for any young padawan. Remember that scene from Episode IV: A New Hope, where Luke is training in the Millenium Falcon with the hovering droid? The Interactive Star Wars Game will let you relive it, and the bonus here is that it won’t zap you when you fail to intercept the laser bolts with your lightsaber.

Now there are officially no scenes left in the Star Wars movies that have not been converted to a toy. Just plug the training “droid” into your TV via an included RCA cable, and it will detect just about every movement of your lightsaber wirelessly. Your onscreen avatar can be Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, or Yoda. Consider it Guitar Hero for Jedis. Just do yourself a favor, and remove all breakable objects from the play area, as you are wielding a 15″ lightsaber.

Star Wars joysticks put the force in your hands

Star Wars joysticks

These Star Wars Plug and Play joysticks come loaded with games inside, and geek detail on the outside. Your choice of Darth Vader or the Millenium Falcon. The Darth Vader Joystick comes with 5 games and is the more expensive of the pair at $30. I imagine it must look like you are strangling Vader in your hands as you play games like Coruscant Attack, Grievous Onslaught, Droid Invasion, Gunship Battle and Utapu Chase.

And the Millennium Falcon version has an actual joystick and is only $15. What the Falcon isn’t as cool as Darth Vader? Maybe it’s just that joysticks are outdated. This one includes four different games: Assault on Hoth, Red Leader, Battle of Endor and Lightsaber Duel.

Sony Music Stick means the force is with youIf you needed proof that Star Wars was way ahead of it’s time, here it is. This new Music Stick resembles a small lightsaber. It might even be the most lightsaber like product that is not actually a lightsaber. Of course, it may just be that the manufacturer wants to capture the hearts and minds of geeks everywhere. Either way, this is a slick looking mp3 player.

It features a 2GB or 4GB storage capacity, has a small display for track information, FM radio, voice recorder and a High speed USB 2.0 connection. The formats it supports for playback are MP3, OGG, WMA and WAV (PCM/ADPCM).

Star Trek USS Enterprise Signature Series TelephoneLong distance, the final VOIP frontier. If your home lacks that “Star Trek” phone that you know it should have then this is the device that you need to beam aboard. Priced at $98.00, the Star Trek USS Enterprise Signature Series Telephone is one of those things you’re either going to love or hate depending upon your tolerance for this kind of nerdy nostalgia. It’s limited in production and so each phone comes with its own numbered certificate as well as the signature of none other than William Shatner, a.k.a. the one and only Captain James T. Kirk.

Posted in LucasArts,Star Wars,Wii by Darrin Olson on September 19th, 2007

LucasArts Star Wars The Force Unleashed for the Nintendo Wii game consoleLucasArts has announced that its sending The Force to Nintendo in early next year by providing Star Wars – The Force Unleashed for the Nintendo Wii. We all know just how much Nintendo is already dominating the game consoles market and this will certainly help them along.

The Force Unleashed will of course take advantage of the Wii’s motion sensitive remotes letting users wave the Wii Remote as a lightsaber as we all have dreamed of doing at one point or another. (I can’t wait to hear it make that signature swooshing sound effect.) The Nunchuk controller will also take part giving you another hand powered with The Force.

Orange you glad to see me?

MOTO ROKR W5 in an orange colorAnother day, another leaked image of some company’s newest mobile. Today’s unlucky company is Motorola and the device in question is the MOTO ROKR W5. With its orange on black fashion statement it certainly stands out, and as Gizmodo said in its headline (and we agree), it looks like Darth Maul’s cell phone. Can you say “Hello Moto” to a Sith Lord without getting chopped up by the guy’s lightsaber?

The specs for the ROKR W5 also got dumped to the internets. This baby is going to have 20 MB of memory, have Bluetooth connectivity, will have a microSD memory card slot and a 96×85 65K color display for you to text “Sith Lord ownz u” to those annoying Jedi Knights. The device runs off of a 880 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Developing a Fracture

Fracture for PS3 from LucasArtsThe developers at LucasArts aren’t just about making games with lightsabers and TIE Fighters in them. A case in point comes in the shape of “Fracture”, one of their new titles now in development and slated for a mid-2008 release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Under development by Day 1 Studios, you step into the boots of Mason Briggs, a soldier from the mid 22nd century that uses weapons that can deform and manipulate the terrain around you to turn a physical disadvantage into a strategic advantage.

Suppose that …
