SmartPhones running Ubuntu Operation SystemThe company behind the Linux-based OS Ubuntu announced on Wednesday that it will be offering a version of its software that will run on smartphones. Namely, the Ubuntu operating system uses the same drivers as Android and would work as a replacement software for existing phones running the Android OS, according to Canonical.

Logitech G400 optical gaming mouse available for pre-order

Logitech’s MX518 optical gaming mouse has been around for awhile, and it is finally getting an upgrade as the new G400. The outside design hasn’t changed much. It’s grey in color and has a cable that’s “thinner and twenty-five percent lighter.”

The new stuff is all on the inside. The optical sensor is two times as sensitive with a maximum 3,600 DPI resolution that maintains a tracking speed of 140 inches per second. If you drop $50 you can get a pre-order from Logitech in the US and it will be available on June 19th.

SteelSeries Diablo III Headset and Mouse

SteelSeries has just unveiled the Diablo III mouse, headset and mousepads. The Diablo III headset features the same retractable microphone, overhead suspension design and 50mm drivers as the Siberia V2, but it has a few design tweaks thrown in.

The Diablo III headset is priced up at $119.99 and comes with a matte-black finish, in-line volume and mute controls, a braided cord and some neat ‘demon red’ illuminations thanks to 18 LED lights. The Diablo III mouse features 7 ergonomically positioned buttons, a laser sensor with up to 5,000 CPI and also has the ‘demon red’ illuminations. If you want you can also remap the seven buttons. Razer and Bioware have teamed up to release the Dragon Age II mouse and keyboard. We told you about the mouse the other day. The Dragon Age II Razer BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard features full mechanical keys with 50g of actuation force, individually blood-red backlit keys with 5 levels of lighting, and 1000Hz Ultra-polling with a 1ms response time.

It also features programmable keys with on-the-fly macro recording, gaming mode option for deactivation of the Windows key, 10 customizable software profiles with on-the-fly switching, 5 additional macro keys, audio-out/ mic-in jacks and USB-passthrough. The Razer DeathAdder is one of the better infrared gaming mice around and now it has a special edition in the new DeathAdder Dragon Age II Collector’s Edition. The mouse is black with red lighting and features a red dragon on the top.

Other than the special game branding, the mouse is the same thing under the hood. It has a 3500dpi sensor, right-handed design, five programmable buttons, and 1000Hz ultrapolling. The sensitivity is adjustable on the fly and it has a 7-foot long cable. The DeathAdder is compatible with Mac and PC. The launch date is unknown, but it will sell for $69.99.

Mouse Computer Lm-mini30X nettop with D525 processor and SSD

Mouse Computer’s latest netbook is rocking a dual-core, 1.8GHz Intel Atom D525 processor, NVIDIA ION graphics, and an 80GB SSD. It will cost you around $600, or 49,980 yen. The Lm-mini30X also boasts 4GB of RAM, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, HDMI output, and a 64-bit copy of Windows 7 Home Premium.

There’s also a slightly lower-spec Lm-mini30S, with 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and 32-bit Windows. That will cost you 37,800 yen, or about $450. Assuming either ever gets release in the States. We aren’t holding our breath waiting.

SteelSeries is back with a “Cataclysm” mouse to celebrate the upcoming expansion to the world’s biggest MMO. The mouse has 14 programmable buttons that can handle 130+ preset commands, and the ability to store 10 character profiles in software and one in the mouse itself.

The mouse is also Mac friendly and the software also controls the LED lights running down the back and “four different pulsation levels”. In other words, it has pretty lights and they are shiny. The mouse will retail for $100 in December, launching at the same time as World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
