I am not convinced that the supposed images of a new Lenovo ThinkPad that are making their rounds are nothing more than some slick Photoshop work. I may be wrong, but the machine doesn’t really look like a ThinkPad. Not that it has an awesome design or anything.

The machine is clad in white, the typical ThinkPad is a blackish gray color. Other than the white hue and some shots of the keyboard, not much is known about the machine. Considering the shots show the keyboard lacks a number pad, I would bet the screen is 12.1-inches or under.

Lenovo is apparently trying to corner the market on all-in-one computers and has been releasing several of the machines over the last few weeks. Today Lenovo has announced a new AIO machine called the ThinkCentre A70z. Lenovo touts that the machine can start up in 35 seconds and shut down 40% faster than rival systems.

If you are in a hurry to get out the door on a Friday fast shut down is a nice feature. The machine sells for $499. For that, much loot you get a 19-inch screen holding the CPU, RAM, storage and all that jazz. The machine can support up to 500GB of storage.

Lenovo has a new all-in-one PC. This one is the first in the Lenovo ThinkCentre range, an all-in-one targeted at business users. Lenovo’s Flickr says that this desktop is “Lenovo’s first business class, Think-branded all-in-one PC announcing soon at EDUCAUSE 09.”

We don’t have a spec sheet or even a name, so all we know is the obvious. That it appears to come with a wireless keyboard and mouse, integrated webcam, three USB 2.0 and audio in/out ports

Lenovo introduced a few new computers today, but the most interesting visually is the B500 all-in-one, which sports a sexy and stealth fighter like angular design. The IdeaCentre B500 isn’t just about looks though. It has decent specs.

At it’s highest and most expensive configuration, the 23-inch 16×9 B500 packs a Core 2 Quad processor, 4GB of memory, 1TB hard drive, DVD or Blu-ray, and an optional TV tuner with remote.

The upcoming ULV-powered, 11.6-inch IdeaPad U150 has just been announced in Japan. We don’t know when it will be coming to the US. It packs an Intel Core 2 Duo SU4100 ULV processor, integrated graphics, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, multitouch trackpad and Windows 7.

We also don’t have a price either but it goes on sale today and should be comparable to Atom machine prices thanks to it’s processor.

Lenovo’s IdeaPad S12 will be hitting Japan on October 22nd, along with Windows 7. As usual Lenovo isn’t delivering anything outwardly sexy here, but the S12 has some decent enough specs.

It will come with an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card for portable gaming, an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, a 12.1″ display at 1,280 x 800 resolution, 2GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, HDMI output, a few USB ports …

Dual-screen notebooks are still popping up and the latest is Kohjinsha’s dual 10.1-inch screen netbook prototype, which was spotted at the CEATEC show in Japan. Just like the Lenovo W700, which started it all, one screen slides behind the other so you can use one or both.

Of course this makes it just a bit thicker than your average netbook. Under the hood you’ll find Windows 7, a 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processor, maximum 4GB RAM, and a 160GB hard disk.

Lenovo’s Q110 nettop has now gone on sale for $399. For that price you get 2GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive, along with Windows Vista Home Premium. Though many of you will probably wait a few weeks and get it with Windows 7 loaded in.

Just realize that there is no keyboard or mouse included. Also it looks like the White model isnt available yet, only the black.

Netbook SSDs have come in several forms, but finding the right model for your machine is about to get much easier thanks to the SATA-IO working group having just announced a new mini-SATA standard called mSATA that should get it all uniform and reduce it’s footprint some.

Toshiba’s the first now with 32nm drives in 30 and 62GB sizes, but you can expect to see mSATA drives and machines from a bunch of big names in the future. Players like Samsung, Dell, HP, SanDisk, Lenovo, and STEC. We can all hold out hope that standardization will lead to lower prices as well.

Two segments in the computer industry are growing robustly despite the economic downturn around the globe. Those two segments are netbooks and all-in-one desktops. In fact, IDC expects the all-in-one category alone to grow by 12.4% from 2008-2013. Today Lenovo added a new all-in-one to its line called the C100, and it’s cheap.

The C100 will be available this month with prices starting at $399. The little rig gets an 18.5-inch LCD with a wide aspect ratio that is only 2-inches thick and houses all the hardware the typical PC has. Basic machines get an Intel Atom 230 single-core CPU.

Next year you may be able to watch video on your laptop with an OLED screen from Samsung, who is eyeing 2010 for a commercial OLED notebook release. The company says that it will release an OLED notebook towards the end of 2010, maybe in the third quarter.

They aren’t the only ones with an eye toward OLED either. Lenovo also has plans to use OLED and Sony too. No mention of cost, but likely it will add a few hundred to the price of a regular notebook.

If you are in the market for a Lenovo Ideapad S10 netbook, you may want to wait just a bit. You’ll be happy to know that the device can now handle high definition video, although the other specs remain the same. Like it’s Intel Atom N280 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, 6-cell battery and Windows XP Home for the OS.

The high definition Lenovo Ideapad S10 will retail for just 349 Euros. It will be available soon at your favorite electronics stores.

Those looking for a happy medium between a nettop and a full-fledged HTPC will want to check out Lenovo’s sexy new Q700 system. The company describes it as the “perfect fit” for anywhere in your home. Just so long as you don’t do any serious computing that is.

The Q700 is only available with a Pentium Dual-Core E5200 processor at the moment, with 4GB of RAM, a max 640GB hard drive, built-in DVD burner, and integrated Intel X4500 graphics. You’ll also get an HDMI out, TV tuner, and some media-friendly features for the $499 starting price.

Over in Europe subsidized price notebooks and netbooks are very common with most of the major mobile providers offering all sorts of notebooks to users at discount prices. The caveat is that you have to sign away years of your mobile broadband freedom to get the deals.

Subsidized notebooks and netbooks aren’t that common here in the U.S., but they are starting to gain in popularity. AT&T already offers a subsidized price Acer Aspire One and the mobile provider has announced that it will now be offering a subsidized Dell Mini 10 and Lenovo S10 netbook at stores across the nation.

The first image and rumored specs for the ThinkPad T400s was leaked a few days ago. We don’t yet have a release date, price or official specs, but it has been Spotted in the wild doing some adventurous stuff. By adventurous we mean being run over by a giant truck, and left in the downpour of a tornado.

It doesn’t give us a price or availability, but it is fun to watch in the same way that seeing Mr. Bill get squished or ran over Is fun. Both videos are below. The first one shows how tough it really is. I won’t spoil the ending for you.
