A saw made out of Lego bricks, but with a real blade is a hospital trip just waiting to happen. This thing really works. So I hope they’ve alerted the local ER. This Lego saw can cut through a 2×4, so limbs should be no problem.

Just to be extra safe, the tips have been removed from the blade and it’s set to stop if you touch it. But still. I don’t trust this Lego saw one bit. But it is a cool creation. I’m now looking forward to the Lego nail gun and jackhammer. Once those are ready, I can make my own Lego themed construction site where our hard hats snap onto our heads and the buildings are many colored bricks.

It’s a shame that Lego doesn’t have the Star Trek license. There are so many cool ships and scenes from the Star Trek universe that could be built by kids and adults. This concept security bracelet for kids comes from a project led by Rodrigo Torres. The idea is that if you combine a security bracelet with LEGO, kids will be more apt to wear it and be tracked for safety reasons. It’s got several features that will get your kid to keep it with him/her.

First off, they can design it the way they like with LEGO bricks. Throw in some games, photos, speaker and the a Lego man in front, and your kid is suckered into being tracked while having a fun device of their own. Heck, I want one myself. I don’t care if it’s tracking me. Sadly, it remains but a concept at the moment.

We mean works as in it does stuff like move and light up. It doesn’t suck gas. Proving that with enough time, Lego pieces and will, you can make anything, some guy made an actual Lego V8 engine. It took 4 months to complete.

Which is probably why GM and Ford choose not to use Legos. Plus Lego cars are super heavy and hard to sit in. Plus next thing you know, you’d have Lego and Duplo monopolizing the car market and that wouldn’t be good. Still I suppose they could arrange for the outside of 50% of Lego cars to have the bricks facing inward and half facing outward so that when they crash, they have a 50/50 chance of either crashing or interlocking which should be safer.
