Elecom Nendo Orime Mouse

Posted in Mouse by Conner Flynn on July 25th, 2011

The Elecom Nendo Orime mouse was inspired by origami. It looks like it could also be a stealth fighter. It’s not very ergonomic though. I can see this really hurting your hand.

If you want one and don’t care about hand cramping and pain, the Elecom Nendo Orime 5 button mouse is available in black, red, silver, and white for $84.32 right now. We dig the unique design even if it isn’t very practical.

Posted in USB by Conner Flynn on March 30th, 2011

Here’s the latest in crazy cat gadgets and I’m not talking Hello Kitty. It’s a mouse pad shaped like a cat head with a USB heater inside. You know, in case your hand gets cold and you would like to stick it in a cat’s mouth. Weird.

The cat pad is 234 mm x 260 mm x 110 mm (9.21 in x 10.24 in x 4.33 in) and weighs 95 g (3.35 oz). No word on price but I can think of much better uses for your money. What if your poor cat sees this. He will think that he’s gonna get a fist in his mouth too. It’s just not right.

Acer Netbooks may offer Dual-OS Booting as standard

Posted in Acer by Conner Flynn on October 7th, 2010

The latest rumor regarding Acer says that Acer is planning to make dual OS netbooks a standard choice for all of its netbooks that have a dual-core processor. Google’s Android OS on the Aspire One D255 isn’t available to everyone, but it will become a standard feature in the future. There’s no reason not to offer it since the OS is cheap and can be easily added.

Android has been seen by notebook manufacturers as a way of providing a near-instant boot solution, though there were previously some issues getting the OS to work right since it wasn’t designed to support a mouse and supported ARM chipsets instead of Intel Atom chips.

New iPhone to feature touch sensitive casing?

Posted in iPhone by Conner Flynn on January 14th, 2010

The rumors surrounding Apple’s new iPhone just won’t stop. The latest rumor suggests that Apple might have something in the works regarding the iPhone’s casing. It might be a touch-sensitive case, similar to the case that the Apple Magic Mouse has.

If true, this could change the device big time. It won’t be so great for those third-party iPhone protector casings, which would block the touch function.
