LaCie hits 10TB, upgrades 2big and 5big RAID drives |
Say what you want about the folks at LaCie, they do not stand still. They just keep upping the storage at an alarming rate. The company has announced product upgrades for the 2big Network and 5big Network devices, featuring Apple Time Machine.
The 5big device even has iTunes server support. The 5big also features five hot-swappable drive bays for up to 10TB of storage for a $799.99 MSRP. The 2big device features a ho-hum 4TB of RAID at an MSRP of $319.99.




Looks like Palm is clearing out their hardware inventory to make way for the much hyped and anticipated Pre, so they are now offering the Palm Centro for just $199, without long-term contracts. The unlocked GPS phone will come in glacier white, cobalt blue or ruby red.
Check out this wrist-worn PC, if you’re looking for something slightly Sci-Fi and nerdy. It’s the ultimate ultraportable. From Glacier Computer, the Ridgeline W200 is a wearable version of the company’s Ridgeline, which can usually be found in your vehicle. The case is rugged, light weight magnesium alloy and it weighs in at 10.2 ounces with a 3.5-inch color display, touch screen, backlit keypad, and a swappable battery pack.

LaCie’s LaCinema Rugged was announced late last month for those across the ocean, which left us Americans wondering if we would ever get to see it here in the US. Sure enough, here it is, in time for the holidays. LaCie has announced US pricing and availability for the bulked up multimedia drive, and you can get one right now starting at $199.99.
