iLuv is known for their various iPod docks and speakers, but now they’re hitting us with the iLuv i1166 PMP that features a 9 inch screen for playback of your DVD’s and movies via your iPod. It has built in stereo speakers and a rechargeable Li-Polymer battery for longer playback.

Yeah we know that there are tons of iPod docks available, but this one stands out as it serves several functions. It will keep your accessories all in one place, helping to clean up some desk clutter. The Tunelight MP3 Speaker System is part music system, part organizing helper.

It has a task light and some compartments to hold your belongings like paperclips,pens etc. And when you combine those features with an iPod dock and speakers, it’s actually useful. It will work with any MP3 player, which means you’ll always have music at your now cleaned up desk.

Grace Digital unveiled this week is 2009 line up of Internet radios and audio network media streamers. Five new products in particular are highlighted and they range in price from around $150 to around $350.

Grace Digital said its GDI-IR1000 Internet radio improves upon its previous ITC-IR1000B by keeping the same wood cabinet while adding adding personalized bass and treble settings and 10 front panel presets. The GDI-IR2000, a step up, includes a remote control and auxiliary input for audio playback from a device such as an iPod.

It’s big, it’s kinda cool looking and it definitely gives us a bit of the 80s spin back. It is a new micro audio system from JVC called the UX-GN6 and it prices around $200.

The UX-GN6 has a sweet motion sensing technology which fires up when waving a hand in front of it, illuminating all of the controls and the LED display. Also highlighted by JVC are the laser touch control strips – one for volume and one for song navigation – which are operated by running a finger along them.

Last week we told you about some of WowWee’s new products. Much to our surprise that included non-robot items. Like these Cinemin mini-projectors.

They’re all designed to support your iPod or iPhone. The projector product line includes the Cinemin Swivel for $299, which features an adjustable 90-degree hinge for ceiling projection, the Cinemin Stick for handheld projections, for $349, and the Cinemin Station at $399, a base station of sorts that allows you to dock your iPod/iPhone and features embedded speakers. This entire line of projectors connect to all the iPods and most laptops.

JVC was feeling nostalgic, so it has upgraded that most classic of urban audio fixtures, the boombox. Make no mistake, this ain’t your grandaddy’s boombox. This is a boombox for the 21st century. How do I know this? Because it boasts an iPod dock and touchscreen of course.

Even the way that you wake the device from standby mode is futuristic. You wake it up from standby mode by waving a hand in front of the system, which illuminates all of the controls and the LED display. That’s not all, there’s a bunch of gestures and motions you can apply to the touchscreen to do stuff like control the sound.

iHome has done it again with their latest iPod dock and speakers. This time the dock is built into an accent lamp. This new luminescent design features 6W total speaker output, is compatible with iPod and all other auxiliary audio sources.

The iLamp comes in a variety of colors. It’s a great way to have your gadgets blend in with the design of your home, while your dock is a bit more functional. Apparently these lamps make pretty music notes swirl around it like a mini tornado.

Cisco has introduced it’s Wireless Home Audio line and three new dual-drive NAS’ during CES 2009. The Wireless Home Audio system uses Ethernet, 802.11n, and DLNA to stream audio over multiple zones throughout your home.

Some of the new products are the Conductor DMC350 Wireless-N Digital Music Center, Director DMC250 Wireless-N Music Player with Integrated Amplifier, Player DMP100 Wireless-N Music Extender, Stereo Speaker Kit DSPK50, DMWR1000 Wireless-N Touchscreen Remote, iPod docking station and the DMRIR500 IR Remote. The price starts at $300 and goes up from there.

iLuv is on a roll. Seems like every time you turn around, they have a new alarm clock of some kind, but they’ve been saving the best for CES. Today they announced the iMM183 Hi-Fi Dual Dock Alarm Clock with Weather Band Radio.

It will charge twin iPods and iPhone 3Gs while giving you NOAA emergency alerts, letting you know if Tornadoes or other natural disasters are on the way, so you can run to safety. After grabbing your charged iPhone of course. It also sports an auxiliary input for non-Apple devices.

The Jewelbox is the second new Ladybug-inspired product from Vestalife. The other is the Firefly. The only differences in this one are the shape and the absence of a built-in subwoofer. The red is a bit more subtle on this one.

No price info or word on availability yet, we will likely know more next week at MacWorld and CES. I’m liking this one over the Firefly. If there’s one thing that Vestalife knows, it’s Ladybug speaker docks.

Remember the Ladybug, that cute award winning iPod dock from Vestalife? Today, the company is launching two new versions of the stylish bug dock. They already had a pretty unique and innovative design, so this year they are looking to improve on the shape.

It’s far more curvy, looking less techie and more organic. With the Firefly, you have a more naturally elegant iPod/iPhone dock. The Firefly is iPhone compatible, unlike the LadyBug, and has a built-in subwoofer. Features after the jump.

RockridgeSound recently released the somewhat retro looking ISR-VT02 iPod dock. The unit boasts an integrated AM/FM tuner, vacuum tube amplifier, two-stage 12AX7 (ECC83) amplifier, two 3.15 inch speakers, 12W of power, S-Video out, mini stereo input and RCA analog inputs.

The RockridgeSound ISR-VT02 iPod Dock is not only retro looking and “woody”, it’s also compatible with all iPods and the iPod touch. Not the iPhone. This docking station is available in Japan starting today for around $385.

Car stereos that are also iPod-friendly are nothing new. Thing is, we’re mostly talking about a dock, with your iPod sitting in front for thieves to spot. The CA-IP500 from Fusion Electronics is different. The face flips open so you can insert your iPod like you would a Cassette tape.

The device will work with the iPod Touch Gen1 & 2, the iPod Classic Gen5, 6 & 7 and the iPod Nano Gen2,3 & 4. Once in it’s slot, you control the iPod via joystick and touch wheel, just like on the iPod. You’ll also get a dot matrix OLED display, SRS Wos sound shaping, AM/FM tuner, 7-band equalizer, security code, aux-in port and of course it will charge your player while it’s inside. It will cost you $349, so while it isn’t cheap, it may help you avoid a broken window and a missing iPod.

iLuv offers plenty of iPod docks these days, but if you’re looking for something a bit more stylish and elaborate than the average desktop model, you’ll be happy to see the new i9500 system. It sports a cool vertical design that can handle four CDs and your iPod.

Wait, there’s more. The system will also handle SD cards and USB storage devices, and you’ll also get all the typical stereo features like AM/FM radio and alarm clock functionality. It should pump out some decent tunes, with 45W of power and a separate, somewhat subwoofer.

You have to love these antique designed radios. And it looks all the better for not having an iPod dock. The St Louis Aerial Clock Radio was inspired by airplane cockpit controls of the 1920’s. The radio has toggle switches and a tuning dial that lights up.

Probably the most interesting feature is that it displays the time in 4 separate circular digital windows. It’s constructed of Steel and plastic and will only play AM/FM channels. Not a single input for you MP3 player, which is pretty refreshing. The Aerial Clock Radio retails for £49.95, which is a bargain for this kind of design.
