XtremeMac debuts iPod car charger/FM transmitter

XtremeMac InCharge FMXtremeMac continued its release of new iPod-related products at MacWorld as it unveiled an updated car charger which pulls double duty as a FM transmitter. It’s called the XtremeMac InCharge FM and pricing will put it at around $70.

XtremeMac said the InCharge FM connects with typical car power outlets as well as plugging into a standard iPod dock connector. While connected the player can be recharged. Also while connected one can use the inCharge FM to broadcast wirelessly through a car’s FM radio the iPod’s audio.

DLO takes HomeDock to HD levels

DLO HomeDock HDDigital Lifestyle Outfitters is showing off at MacWorld an updated version of its HomeDock iPod accessory for those want HD video. It is called the DLO HomeDock HD and price is set at around $250.

The DLO HomeDock HD upconverts iPod video to 1080i or 720p through an HDMI connection when the iPod is docked with it. It also has S-video output for those with analog video needs and optical digital audio output for higher end audio connections.

DLO iBoom JukeBoxDigital Lifestyle Outfitters is showing off at MacWorld right now several new iPod accessories. One of these is the DLO iBoom JukeBox, priced at around $200.

The DLO iBoom JukeBox is a portable speaker system with an integrated iPod dock. It comes complete with an RF remote control with full display screen which lets you have full iPod browsing and control as well as volume handling for the iBoom.

XtremeMac reveals updated Tango iPod speaker system

XtremeMac Tango X2XtremeMac just announced from MacWorld today another iPod speaker system. This time around it is the Tango X2, priced at around $150.

The XtremeMac Tango X2 is described as “a full range speaker system with a subwoofer and AM/FM radio wrapped in an elegant design that delivers big sound from a deceptively compact unit.” Having had hands on experience with the first Tango we have to imagine this will be even a better system.

Basic features include an AM/FM radio with hidden display, a smaller footprint from the previous model and an integrated iPod dock. Get the full details on the XtremeMac Tango X2 after the jump.

ezGear XL90 Sound Bar for iPodezGear launched a new speaker system today designed to work with ALL of Apple’s iPod players called the ezGear XL90 Power Bar or the XL90 Sound Bar, depending on which product advertisement from ezGear you’re looking at.

We’re going with the XL90 Sound Bar sine it seems like a better name to us and will have less confusion with energy foods, but either way this speakers system features an iPod dock, 7 speakers and a remote to bring your iPod music to a place you can share with others. The speakers are driven by a 35 watt amp and consist of 2 high-range tweeters, 4 midrange and a seperate subwoofer. The included remote control runs the adjustments of the speaker sounds as well as navigating the docked iPod menu.

It’s made to fit the 2nd generation iPod Shuffle and is designed to be nice and compact. It’s kinda cute too. You just snap the Shuffle into the speaker dock and you’re all set. It will only cost you $27.

XtremeMac unveils new iPod clock radio

XtremeMac Luna X2iPod accessory maker XtremeMac announced at MacWorld today a new version of its popular Luna iPod radio clock. This one is known as the XtremeMac Luna X2 and it is priced at around $120.

The XtremeMac Luna X2 offers up an integrated iPod dock and two full range speakers driven by a “hi-dynamic” power amplifier. This radio clock sports dual alarms and will let you be awakened to a buzzer, AM/FM radio or your docked iPod. There’s the ability to adjust the volume gain as well so you can gradually wake up without loud noise making you jump from bed.

Griffin PowerDock charges 4 iPods

Griffin PowerDock is iPod hungry
Griffin has come up with a very handy PowerDock that will simplify the lives of those who have several iPods and iPhones in the house. (Or that crazy guy that has about 10 iPods and uses them all for some reason only he understands.) For now, it just charges the devices, but one can expect more functionality to be added down the road.

The Powerdock will be released in two models: a 4 slot version featured above for $70 in April, and a 2 slot model to come later for $50 in June.

Sony launches new HD tuner and tabletop radios

Sony XDR-F1HD Tuner and XDR-S10HDiP HD RadioSony pushed out a couple of new HD radios last week at the annual CES event for those audiophiles wanting some high fidelity sound without the subscription costs of satellite radio. The XDR-S10HDiP HD Radio (pictured bottom) is a tabletop type player that comes ready to go with speakers and an iPod dock on top. The XDR-F1HD Tuner (pictured top) is component HD tuner that can connect and bring HD radio to your existing home theater system.

Both systems will pick up over 1,500 nationwide HD radio stations and will also bring in regular FM and AM signals. The XDR-S10HDiP is the first of this type of HD radio from Sony and features the ability to dock and charge an iPod when connected. While listening to HD radio the iPod owners can also use the iTunes Tagging which lets you mark songs you like playing on the radio and save the titles in your iPod. The next time you sync your iPod with iTunes, it will find those songs and prompt you with the option to buy them. The tabletop player also comes with a wireless remote that not only controls the radio but also controls the iPod when docked.

Altec Lansing T612A new iPod/iPhone speaker system is being promoted by Altec Lansing at CES right now. It is known as the Altec Lansing T612 and you’ll find it will cost around $200.

The Altec Lansing T612, which should be available in February, is a digital audio system with an integrated dock for compatible iPods and the iPhone. Sound is provided through the T612 via neodymium speakers and bass enhancement technology. A wireless remote included with the system offers iPod navigation functionality for options like volume and track selection.

I’m not going to talk about the fact that these robots have iPods in their crotch areas. I’m going to completely ignore the pink elephant in the room and I hope you will too, difficult as it may be.

Meccano is introducing 2 new robots, the Spykee Vox and the Spykee Miss, each targeted at different genders by the looks of them. I guess it has to be mentioned. Each robot has it’s own iPod dock, weirdly situated in their robot groin areas, and are compatible with other mp3 players as well.

The device connects to a standard television and provides on-TV navigation menus for selecting and playing songs, videos and viewing pictures that are stored on the iPod.

Once docked the iPod and its contents can be navigated through a large display on the television using a 16 button infrared remote control controlling media selection, adjusting volume, forwarding and rewinding, lyrics and the equalizer. It will also charge up the iPod when docked. The dock connects with included 6-foot AV output cable and is available now retailing for $129.99.

Creative Xdock HDOne of the products Creative is showing off at CES is a new iPod docking system which can output HD video. It’s called the Creative Xdock HD and will price at around $400.

The Creative Xdock HD is designed to dock and charge your iPod much like any similar product. While docked you can output upconverted video on an HDTV in full DTS surround sound and it can also wirelessly play music through X-Fi Wireless Receivers connected to speakers throughout the home. It has HDMI output as well as other video output types.
