Here’s an interesting concept that makes the iPod dock more practical. The idea is that you can stack as many of the modules as you like, which lets you have multiple speakers, lights, even air purifiers. Usually iPod docks are pretty boring, but this one opens up a whole world of possibilities.
Maybe they could add a messaging screen on the front and it could display your instant messages. Maybe one could be a USB hub, or have a hard drive. The possibilities are endless.

Yamaha just released its MusicCAST2 network music system that can wirelessly transmit music to 32 different rooms. At long last, we have something for all of that silence in our mansions. JVC just revealed their UX-LP5 today. This sound system is a Hi-Fi that features an iPod dock that can flip down whenever you need it. The device has a video output, so you can watch videos stored on your iPod on a nearby connected television. There’s also an audio input on the front for easy connectivity.
