Apple patent for multimedia transferAnother patent from Apple was recently published through the USPTO showing a type of text-to-voice system entitled “Multimedia data transfer for a personal communication device”.

The patent describes a system for transferring data between mobile, personal communication devices such as phones, walkie talkies or maybe even iPhone nano’s. According to Macnn the system would lend itself nicely to those with visual impairments since it transfers text between devices and the receiving device could then read the text aloud through a speaker.

WildCharge charge pad given more details, delayed launchJuly 7th came and went and we were starting to wonder if WildCharge was going to start taking orders as we had expected, until this we checked out their site this morning. The website underwent some changes and it appears that ordering of the much anticipated wireless charging pad is going to be delayed by a couple weeks. Once the online store is enabled the WildCharge charger will be available only through the company website and will ship “shortly” after ordering.

Hacker Jon Johansen of Norway claims to have hacked by AT&T with the iPhone activationJon Johanson has been a fairly well known hacker of consumer electronics gadgets for years, and has now claimed that he has found a way to activate a new Apple iPhone without signing up through AT&T’s service. Using the iPhone without AT&T’s two year plan is not allowed by the agreement made with Apple and AT&T since the company is the exclusive carrier for the iPhone.

The patent digram shows a click wheel similar to existing iPods with a touchpad that shows the graphical images of a phone dial-like wheel with numbers and letters. New iPhone from Apple Detailed InformationApple added some iPhone pages to their website today after Steve Jobs’ keynote speech was completed. Now that the dust has settled a little bit, here are some additional detailed specs to go along with the iPhone release information we posted earlier today.

iPhone nano by January?

AppleAccording to new rumors surrounding Apple Computer, the digital music behemoth is readying two new cellphone models for possible release in January. In a report by Prudential Equity Group analyst Jesse Tortora, these new models could launch at the January 2007 MacWorld conference. Reports of Apple officially filing for the ‘iPhone’ trademark further fuel the rumors.

Tortora went on to say that “recent checks” give him reason to believe Apple will begin selling a smartphone and a slim music phone.
