Verizon iPhone 4 also not recommended by Consumer Reports

Posted in iPhone by Conner Flynn on February 27th, 2011

Consumer Reports announced that the Verizon iPhone 4 didn’t make their list of recommended phones. The reason is the same as before. It’s the antenna-gate issue once again. The Verizon iPhone 4 like it’s cousin, is also prone to drop calls in certain areas, according to Consumer Reports.

Consumer Reports says: “The Verizon iPhone 4 closely resembles the original AT&T iPhone 4 in many positive respects, including offering great multimedia functionality, a sharp screen, and the best MP3 player we’ve seen on a phone…Unfortunately, it also shares with its sibling the possibility of compromised performance in low-signal conditions when used without a bumper or case.”

Password theft is a serious problem. And with the iPhone gaining more support in the enterprise scene, people have begun taking a more serious look at the security of the device. And so some reports have surfaced that thieves can extract and decrypt passwords stored in your iPhone. What’s more, they can do it in less than 6 minutes.

iFrogz announces that some cases are compatible with Verizon iPhone

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on February 8th, 2011

If you have been using the iPhone 4 on AT&T and are ready to move to Verizon, you have to be aware that your case may not fit the Verizon iPhone. That’s because the iPhone 4 for Verizon has the buttons on the side lowered a bit, which makes some cases not work.

The good news is that iFrogz has announced that several of its cases will work fine for both the Verizon and AT&T iPhone 4 phones, which saves you some hassle. Some of the cases that will fit the Verizon version are the Luxe original, Luxe Lean, Treadz, Wrapz, and the Soft Gloss.

Apple releases Universal Bumper Case for Verizon and AT&T iPhone

Posted in iPhone by Conner Flynn on January 21st, 2011

The new verizon iPhone 4 has a slightly different design than the original iPhone 4, which seems to have fixed the iPhone death grip issue, but now the original iPhone 4 bumper case will not fit the Verizon iPhone. And so Apple has released a new universal bumper case to fit both phones.

The main difference on the Verizon iPhone 4 is that the mute switch sits slightly lower than on the original iPhone 4, so the new bumper design makes sure that it will work with both versions of the iPhone 4.
