Game Boy iPhone case

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on July 6th, 2009

Game Boy iPhone caseIf you believe that the iPhone is all set to become the new platform for portable gaming, why not dress it up appropriately, with a retro gaming classic? It’s a Game Boy on the outside and an iPhone on the inside.

Plus, it’s ironic. And adorable. And protective. And only $15. Seriously, if you call yourself a geek, you have to own this. Or the Playstation version. Your iPhone will suffer an identity crisis and may even start displaying in monochrome.

Cameras ordered for iPod Touch?

Posted in iPod Touch by Conner Flynn on July 6th, 2009

Cameras ordered for iPod Touch?TechCrunch claims that they have heard evidence that the next generation iPod Touch will have a built in video camera. One of their sources in Asia says that Apple has placed an order for a massive number of camera modules of the type that they include in the iPhone.

The source says that due to the size of the order, they can only be used for one thing - the iPods. Since May it has been rumored that the iPod Touch would get a camera. When Apple does update the new iPod Touch, it seems likely that they will also upgrade the device to the more powerful processor and graphics chips that were introduced in the iPhone 3GS.

PlayStation iPhone case

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on July 1st, 2009

PlayStation iPhone caseWe’ve seen some awesome iPhone cases, but this may be one of best. Way better than the gameboy iPhone case and it beats the coacoa out of the chocolate iPhone case.

How cool is this handmade piece of geekery? The disc cover opens so you can put your iPhone inside. It even comes with a nicely detailed controller charm. It’s so adorable that it’s bound to make grown men weep.

Nintendo DS Chocolate Case

Posted in Nintendo DS by Conner Flynn on June 30th, 2009

Nintendo DS Chocolate CaseI like sweets just as much as the next guy, but if you have a case for your DS that makes it look like a chocolate bar, you may have a bit of a candy problem. At least it looks better than the Chocolate iPhone case. And it melts on your portable, not in your hands.

Well, if you are crazy for chocolate, you might as well lay down $10 on the NDS Lite Chocolate Case from gadget4all.com, but it will only make you hungry, so in the end you and your DS will be fatter as a result.

Atari 2600 iPod dock

Posted in DIY by Conner Flynn on June 16th, 2009

Atari 2600 iPod dockPut together two iconic classics and you can never go wrong. In this case it’s the iPod and the Atari 2600. The homemade dock puts the iPod connector where the cartridge used to go,(you’re probably using your cartridges as wallets anyway).

How could this be better? With the iPhone of course. With an LCD in the middle so you could play iPhone games properly with controllers. When iPod and Atari 2600’s meet, it’s like geek destiny. It’s a love that will endure forever.

Pogo Stylus for iPhone Review

Posted in Review by Shane McGlaun on May 15th, 2009

pogostylus-sbI really like my iPhone and I have had it since the first generation devices launched. It’s about time for me to upgrade to a new handset and I am just waiting until June to see if any of the rumors about a new iPhone coming are true. Being a married geek one of the caveats of upgrading my gear is that it has to make it through the wife approval o’meter. Scoff all you want single geeks, any married guy will know what I mean. One good way to get the approval on an upgrade for my iPhone is to convince my wife that she should take my current iPhone over her Blackberry, which is honestly nowhere near as good as the iPhone.

The problem is that my wife always wants to use her nails to work the capacitive touchscreen. Anyone who has used an iPhone knows that won’t work. Another big problem for users in cold environments is that you can’t work the iPhone with gloves on. Today we are going to look at the Pogo Stylus for the iPhone that will solve both of these problems. Read on for all the details on the Pogo Stylus for iPhone.
