PlayStation iPhone case

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on July 1st, 2009

PlayStation iPhone caseWe’ve seen some awesome iPhone cases, but this may be one of best. Way better than the gameboy iPhone case and it beats the coacoa out of the chocolate iPhone case.

How cool is this handmade piece of geekery? The disc cover opens so you can put your iPhone inside. It even comes with a nicely detailed controller charm. It’s so adorable that it’s bound to make grown men weep.

Nintendo DS Chocolate Case

Posted in Nintendo DS by Conner Flynn on June 30th, 2009

Nintendo DS Chocolate CaseI like sweets just as much as the next guy, but if you have a case for your DS that makes it look like a chocolate bar, you may have a bit of a candy problem. At least it looks better than the Chocolate iPhone case. And it melts on your portable, not in your hands.

Well, if you are crazy for chocolate, you might as well lay down $10 on the NDS Lite Chocolate Case from gadget4all.com, but it will only make you hungry, so in the end you and your DS will be fatter as a result.

Atari 2600 iPod dock

Posted in DIY by Conner Flynn on June 16th, 2009

Atari 2600 iPod dockPut together two iconic classics and you can never go wrong. In this case it’s the iPod and the Atari 2600. The homemade dock puts the iPod connector where the cartridge used to go,(you’re probably using your cartridges as wallets anyway).

How could this be better? With the iPhone of course. With an LCD in the middle so you could play iPhone games properly with controllers. When iPod and Atari 2600’s meet, it’s like geek destiny. It’s a love that will endure forever.

Pogo Stylus for iPhone Review

Posted in Review by Shane McGlaun on May 15th, 2009

pogostylus-sbI really like my iPhone and I have had it since the first generation devices launched. It’s about time for me to upgrade to a new handset and I am just waiting until June to see if any of the rumors about a new iPhone coming are true. Being a married geek one of the caveats of upgrading my gear is that it has to make it through the wife approval o’meter. Scoff all you want single geeks, any married guy will know what I mean. One good way to get the approval on an upgrade for my iPhone is to convince my wife that she should take my current iPhone over her Blackberry, which is honestly nowhere near as good as the iPhone.

The problem is that my wife always wants to use her nails to work the capacitive touchscreen. Anyone who has used an iPhone knows that won’t work. Another big problem for users in cold environments is that you can’t work the iPhone with gloves on. Today we are going to look at the Pogo Stylus for the iPhone that will solve both of these problems. Read on for all the details on the Pogo Stylus for iPhone.

Posted in Review by Shane McGlaun on May 1st, 2009

ultimate_ears_700-sbThere is one universal truth when it comes to buying any brand of MP3 player, the stock earphones won’t be very good. The earphones that came with my iPhone were horrible. Today we are going to look at a high-end set of earphones that will work with any MP3 player out there called the Ultimate Ears 700 Noise Isolating Earphones. Read on for all the details on the Ultimate Ears 700 Noise Isolating Earphones.

Handmade wood iPhone 3G cases

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on April 26th, 2009

Handmade wood iPhone 3G casesLove Apple or hate them, I think we can all admit that the iPhone is one of the classiest looking phones. So why not class it up a bit more and add some sophistication in the form of a handmade wooden case? Etsy seller Substrat has created some really lovely cases. They’re all shaped and sanded to perfection and compliment your iPhone’s design. They will hold it snugly and keep it safe.

Sadly, you won’t be able to use any of the buttons. But that’s the price you pay for awesome looks. The price is about $84.99. These are probably the best wood iPhone cases we’ve seen yet.

Mophie announces availability of the Juice Pack Air on Apple.com

Posted in Apple by Shane McGlaun on April 22nd, 2009

mophiejuicepackair-sbOne of the worst things about my original iPhone is that the battery just doesn’t last long. If I play games for more than half an hour half the battery life is gone and surfing the net on the device does the same thing. I purchased a Mophie Juice Pack for my original iPhone to solve this problem.

Mophie announced a new product for the iPhone 3G back in February called the Juice Pack Air. The device is billed as the world’s thinnest external battery/protective case available for the iPhone 3G.
