iPaq Glisten smartphone from HP

iPaq Glisten smartphone from HPTwo big shots with initials, HP and AT&T just announced the iPaq Glisten. It’s a GSM Windows Mobile 6.5 Smartphone with an AMOLED display. The Glisten features a unified inbox and comes pre-loaded with the Facebook app for Windows Mobile.

It will cost $299 with a two year contract. Specs include: GSM 3G world phone, 2.5″ AMOLED Display, Windows Mobile 6.5, 3.1 Megapixel Camera, GPS, turn-by-turn navigation and Mobile office.

HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian coming to AT&T

HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian coming to AT&TAT&T will be launching another smartphone from Hewlett-Packard. The iPAQ K3. The codename is “Obsidian”, the date is November 30. This new smartphone works on triband HSDPA as well as quadband EDGE.

Some other features include Windows Mobile 6.5 OS, a 2.8-inch QVGA display, a 2MP camera, a full QWERTY keyboard, a 256MB of RAM, a 512MB ROM, a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS and WiFi. No info on pricing at the moment.

HP iPAQ DataMessenger & VoiceMessenger PhonesHP has two new smartphones in their iPAQ range: the iPAQ DataMessenger and VoiceMessenger. The first handset runs on Windows Mobile 6.1, has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 2.8 inch display, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, Wi-Fi and HSDPA support, quad-band GSM, aGPS, a 3.1MP camera and microSD memory card slot. While the iPAQ VoiceMessenger has a smaller 2.4 inch display and a SureType keyboard. The VoiceMessenger and DataMessenger will cost you €399 and €499. Both will be released in November via Vodafone.


HP Unveils the iPAQ 610 Business Navigator

HP iPAQ 610 Business NavigatorHP unleashed another new mobile phone along side the iPAQ 914, named the iPAQ 610 Business Navigator. Unlike its 900 series sibling the 610 features a numeric keypad instead of the full QWERTY keyboard, but has many of the same features along with a little larger display.

An integrated scroll wheel in the keypad of the iPAQ 610 is a slick feature that makes navigating the menus a little easier, and seeing the content won’t be bad either on a decent-sized 2.8-inch touchscreen. It’s a global 3G and Quad-band mobile phone that also includes Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) and an integrated GPS and Bluetooth 2.0.

Th 914 just reeks of connectivity as a Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE phone with tri-band HSDPA, built-in 802.11 b/g with WPA2 security, Bluetooth 2.0 and integrated GPS.

This Business Messenger fits its name well, meeting the majority of the connectivity needs for a world business traveler. iPAQ 210 Enterprise PDA from HP

HP iPAQ 210 Enterprise edition handheld PDAHP has unleashed a bunch of new devices today such as the iPAQ 310 Companion and this new iPAQ 210 Enterprise PDA. The new 210 combines a large color display, a serious handful of processing power and Wi-Fi connectivity to provide a powerful tool targeting business customers.

Both the 200 and the 100 series iPAQ’s were released today, all running Windows Mobile 6 Classic on color touchscreens with 64MB of RAM and 256MB of ROM inside. They also feature a Marvell PXA310 624MHz CPU, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and support Bluetooth.

On October 31st Cingular will be offering wireless customers a new mobile device from HP called the iPAQ hw6920.

The iPAQ hw6920 Mobile Messenger utilizes not only Cingular’s GSM/GPRS/EDGE wireless network but also has the communication capabilities of Wi-Fi, GPS, infrared transfers and Bluetooth.

The hw6920 runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 with features such as Internet Explorer, Outlook and Windows Media Player, and the hw6925 model has a 1.3-megapixel HP Photosmart camera that can take still pictures and videos.

HP first introduced the hw6900 Mobile Messenger Series in February at the 3GSM show in Barcelona, Spain but delays prevented the communicator from shipping this summer. Now comes word from HP that the cellular-wireless handheld may finally ship after all.

The 6900 series models look very similar to previous Mobile Messenger offerings. This series features the same 240 x 240 resolution, 64k color display, and a QWERTY thumb-styled keyboard.
