Natural Motion has launched Jenga for the iPhone and the iPad. The game even features input from the designer of the original game, Leslie Scott. The game uses real-time 3D physics simulation to recreate the behavior of an actual wooden Jenga tower. Each block is affected by the surrounding blocks requiring the gamer to apply the same strategies that they would in the real world game.

There’s also a social dimension allowing users to compare their tower height with friends from around the world, or you can play the Pass’n’Play mode which allows up to four players to take turns playing on the same iPhone.

If you are looking for a retro styled iPhone dock, look no further. This one was designed and created by Japanese home electronics company Hashy-Topin and this iPhone dock allows you to make calls the old fashioned way using a handset with a cord.

When docked, your iphone will charge and sync to iTunes if needed. Phone X will cost you $24 in either Black, Pink, Blue , White or Yellow. Not a bad price if you absolutely must get back to being tethered with your phone.

Apple has now started extending iTunes preview clips to 90 seconds on songs that last for two and a half minutes or longer. It’s only effective in the US iTunes Store. So when you are checking a song out, you have a little extra time to decide if you like it or not.

It used to be that if a song was much longer than two and half minutes it wouldn’t get much radio play. Times have sure changed. Head to the iTunes store and preview away.

Richard Branson will be releasing his iPad magazine by the name of “Project” tomorrow or the next day, with a cover featuring Jeff Bridges and a cover story on TRON: Legacy. According to a source from 9 to 5 Mac, it will be available in the iTunes store and active tomorrow in the morning.

Will it be a good magazine? Who knows. It seems to have a wide range of content and is certainly getting a lot of hype. We will find out very soon.

The Beatles’s first appearance on a digital store has led to a dramatic uptick in sales, according to data from Apple. About two million individual tracks and 450,000 albums were sold on iTunes in the first week alone.

Information collected by Billboard gave 1969′s Abbey Road the lead, both as the top-selling album and for “Here Comes the Sun” as the top-selling song. Many consider Abbey Road to be their best album. Now a newer generation of listeners can be exposed to the band, while others can re-discover them.

Just like we told you yesterday, the Beatles are now on iTunes. You can find the Beatles page live right now. It looks like the entire catalog is available in a $149 box set complete with iTunes LP content, and there’s also a few videos.

Steve and Yoko must be friends now. As a bonus the “Live at the Washington Coliseum, 1964″ video will stream for free for the rest of the year. Beatles fans are very happy today.

The Beatles are legendary. Sadly many kids have yet to discover them thanks to their absence from iTunes. But fear not, your kids will have the chance to have a listen on iTunes yet. This comes seven and a half years after Apple launched the iTunes store.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that The Beatles catalog will be among tomorrow’s iTunes announcements. WSJ’s sources warn that plans could change at the last minute however, and that the talks between Apple, Beatles reps, and EMI were taking place as recently as last week. Still, you have to keep the faith. It’s just time to do it.

iHome has unveiled the iB969 charging station for iOS devices, which features quick-charge USB ports that don’t support syncing and also standard-charge ports that do support syncing. The $60 charging station comes bundled with adapters for various iPods and has a rubberized rest area for your iPad.

You can charge up to four different devices simultaneously. The iB969 can sync with iTunes and features a USB to AC adapter for devices like the Sony Reader. BlackBerry, Kindles and the Nook can be charged using the bundled USB to mini-USB adapter.

Looks like Apple has informed music labels that it is preparing to extend the length of iTunes Store song previews in the United States to 90 seconds. This would be for songs that are at least 2 minutes and 30 seconds long. Shorter songs will continue to offer the current 30-second samples. I don’t know about you, but I’m glad to hear it, no pun intended.

Apple’s email says that by continuing to offer their music on the iTunes Store, labels are indicating their acceptance of the new terms. Any labels who do not wish to agree with the terms must withdraw their music from the iTunes Store.(As if they have a choice. Where else would they go?)

Redbox, the company that has operated DVD rental kiosks at shopping centers across the US, has announced that the company will now be entering the movie streaming business in 2011. Redbox didn’t name a partner yet, but obviously they will need somebody to host and manage the streaming business.

The company doesn’t know yet if it would adopt a subscription plan like Netflix or an a la carte model like iTunes and Blockbuster. The company has been testing the waters for some time now. Back in April a survey from the company asked consumers what they thought of a $3.95 monthly plan that would include unlimited streaming in addition to four free DVD rentals. Right now, four DVD rentals would cost $4 by itself.

Grace Digital has announced its GDI-IR2550p. It’s capable of streaming music directly from your Pandora stations. Other radios can already do that, but this one allows you to use thumbs up/down, bookmarking, as well as play and pause features from the front panel or on the remote.

If you own an iPhone or iPod touch, you can use the device as a remote. Plus you have access to over 50,000 radio stations, podcasts and on-demand content including NPR on-demand, FOX News, CNN, BBC and Sirius Premium Internet radio.

This week at CEATEC, Fujitsu demonstrated two portable tablets running on Windows 7. The pair are prototypes for the moment, so sadly no specs were revealed. The company also showed off a Design Concept flip phone, which sported dual touchscreens that can rotate to offer a landscape view.

The handset was preloaded with Fujitsu’s proprietary OS, which could hold it back big time if or when it’s launched since the apps market isn’t likely to be capable of competing with the Android Market or iTunes store.

Apple never rests and as proof, an SEC filing today revealed that it has struck a “multi-year agreement” with Rovi in what may be a strategy to support the new Apple TV. The terms are secret, but will let Apple license Rovi’s technology over the course of the deal. Neither company has commented yet.

It’s hard to say what Apple would use the tech for. The company makes interactive program guide material that taps into TV channel lineups. It also makes software for set-top boxes to access and share media stored both on the Internet and the local network. So Apple TV is a good guess.

Apple just launched the latest version of their iOS for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and it is now available to download from iTunes. Some of those new features to the iPhone and iPod Touch include a bunch of bug fixes for the iPhone 3G which should speed things up. There’s also a fix for the proximity sensor issues on the iPhone 4.

New features in iOS 4.1 include HDR Photos, the ability to upload HD video over WiFi, TV show rentals for your iOS device and Game Center.

Apple has already hit a milestone as it has reached over one million users of Ping within the first 48 hours of its going online. That’s a third of the three million that have downloaded iTunes 10. You can expect that number to grow much higher, as “many more people” are likely to download iTunes.

The adoption is very rapid and is helped tremendously by Apple’s existing user base of course. With over 160 million iTunes owners using credit cards and so are guaranteed to be attached to an Apple ID, Ping will require very little effort to get a large portion of those users online.
