Speakal’s Cool iPig is a docking station for your iPhone and iPod Touch with motion sensors around the ears, sides, and nose that allows users to control their music playback. It comes with a remote control as well if you want to use that.

You know, because some people might not want to wave and gesture at their pig to play or pause music. It has built-in 23 W total sound power with a 15 W subwoofer and the battery is good for 8 hours of playback. It will cost you $150 through the end of the year and the normal MSRP is $170.

You can choose from a million alarm clock docks, most with the same basic features. Or you can choose one that is more original, like the TimeCommand. This dock will dock and charge your iPod, iPhone, or iPad and has an adjustable connector that will work if you have your gadget in a case or not in a case. A free app can also be downloaded to let you set multiple alarms.

The neatest feature is that you can plug in your bedside lamp and the TimeCommand will wake you to your alarm as well as light from the lamp. With the app it can be dimmed and a timer can cut the lamp off when you go to bed.

HipBox from Pure-Acoustics is a portable speaker that will let you connect any audio device whether it be your iPod, iPhone, iPad, laptop etc. It looks like it lives up to its name since it looks pretty sleek and hip and portable.

The device also has a SD card slot, is rechargable up-to 4 hours and comes in some neat colors. The HipBox will cost you just $39.95. It’s one of the coolest designed portable speakers we’ve seen in some time.

Photofast iPADock Docking Station for iPad and iPhone

Japanese company PhotoFast has introduced the iPADock, which can accommodate combinations of devices like two iPads at once, four iPhones at once, or you can mix it up and have one iPad and two iPhones. You can also use iPADock to charge up your iPad, iPod Touch, iPod Nano and iPod Classic.

Other features include seven USB ports, a connector for the iPad camera connection kit and a memory card that supports SD, SDHC, mini SD, mini SDHC, micro SD and micro SDHC. The Photofast iPADock will cost you £74.99 ($116).

Apple ZipCheck used in select Old Navy stores

We’re all looking to avoid the holiday rush and long checkout lines in stores. Well if you find yourself at Old Navy and you have an Apple iPod Touch, you can get in and get out quickly. They’re testing out a new EasyPay point-of-sale type system that Apple’s calling ZipCheck, with iPods, to minimize long check out lines.

Employees of Old Navy will just need your credit card and by using the device via wireless, you can have your bill ready thanks to wireless printers around the store.

Audio-Technica ATH-ANC27 and ATH-ANC25 Noise Cancelling Headphones

Audio-Technica has two new sets of noise cancelling headphones that are each under $100. Most Noise Canceling headphones will set you back more than that. The ATH-ANC27 and ATH-ANC25 both have similar features. The ANC27 headphones can block up to 85% of the sound in a room using active noise cancellation and are an over-the-ear design, while the ANC25 are on-ear style and can block 80% of the sound in the room.

Both use active noise cancellation tech and are compatible with Apple products like the iPhone and iPod. And both need an AAA battery for the noise cancellation feature. The ANC27 headphones are $99.95 and the ANC25 sell for $79.95.

900K DS systems, 600K Wiis sold this week

Nintendo saw a resurgence in sales during Thanksgiving week. Starting from November 21 and running through this past Sunday, the company shipped 900,000 DS, DSi and DSi XL systems as well as 600,000 Wii units.

It credited the spike to the usual Black Friday push as well as new colors for the devices. The company didn’t say whether or not either figure was a record for the week, but both are well above Nintendo’s average sales results through the rest of the year.

Best Buy offers free GPS with iPod touch, free smartphones

Best Buy today has kicked off a post-Thanksgiving sale with a heavy emphasis on iPods. If you buy an 8GB fourth-generation iPod touch, you get a free GPS unit from the store’s in-house Insignia brand. Other iPods are also on sale, ranging from $5 for a fourth-generation iPod shuffle to $10 off new iPod nanos and $15 off the iPod classic.

It’s a good day to buy an iPod it seems. Zune too. If you want a Zune HD, you can also get a deal, as those who buy the 16GB or 32GB models can get a Zune HD AV Dock for free.

Gear4 HouseParty AirWave iPod/iPhone Dock Streams Internet Radio

Gear4′s latest iPhone/iPod dock, the HouseParty AirWave does more than just dock your iDevice. It also offers access to Internet radio stations and users can control the dock over Wi-Fi using an iOS app. You can search for and tune into Internet, DAB and FM radio stations.

It also has the ability to let you control a docked iPod or iPhone, but you’ll need to do it using another iOS device. Other features include two three-inch 20W speakers, a 3.5mm aux input and media streaming support from storage devices.

Beatles sell 2 million songs, 450,000 albums on iTunes debut

The Beatles’s first appearance on a digital store has led to a dramatic uptick in sales, according to data from Apple. About two million individual tracks and 450,000 albums were sold on iTunes in the first week alone.

Information collected by Billboard gave 1969′s Abbey Road the lead, both as the top-selling album and for “Here Comes the Sun” as the top-selling song. Many consider Abbey Road to be their best album. Now a newer generation of listeners can be exposed to the band, while others can re-discover them.

TikTok and LunaTik Watch Kits for iPod Nano

A project started by Scott Wilson over on Kickstarter has made the money it needs to go from concept to the real world. The projects are the Tiktok and LunaTik watch kits for the new iPod nano. Scott needed $15,000 to fund the project and ended up with over $75,000. I guess people really want them.

And why not? They are the coolest watchbands for the nano we’ve seen yet. The TikTok is a snap in band that the iPod can be removed from easily. While the LunaTik is made from aluminum parts and comes in silver or red colors.

Elecom iPod Shuffle Headphones

The new Shuffle is tiny, so Elecom’s Actrail headphones cut out the middleman, plugging the Shuffle in next to the right earpiece. Awesome design. You can only attach the current-generation Shuffle to the Actrails right now.

They’re available in pink or white for $50 in Japan, but it won’t be long until others copy the design and offer it up in the States. it doesn’t get more wireless than that.
