Posted in iPod Nano by Conner Flynn on November 7th, 2010

When Apple released the new iPod Nano, there were several watch strap accessories that turned the new iPod Nano into a watch. This one is from Hex and it is probably the best yet. It looks great. They didn’t just add a watch strap to the iPod Nano, the Hex watch band actually integrates the iPod Nano into the strap, protecting it.

The Hex watch band for the iPod Nano comes in several colors including white, black, blue, silver, orange, green, red, grey and pink for $24.95.

It even sports a built-in rechargeable battery for 16-hours of continuous playback. Hey, why not? As long as we are playing make believe. This is actually something that the ladies would love, in fashionable pastels. Who knows, one day Apple may get behind it. But we aren’t holding our breath.

Nike Amp+ Sport Remote Control watch released

Posted in Exercise Gadgets,Watches by Darrin Olson on October 5th, 2007

Nike Amp+ Sport Remote ControlWithout much fanfare Nike has let loose the new Nike Amp+ Sport Remote Control. The Amp+ wears on your wrist like a watch and actually will tell the time, but that’s the least impressive of its features.

The watch works in conjunction with the Nike+ iPod Sport Kit and Nike+ iPod Ready shoes (if you want shoes with a special pocket in your shoe for the sensor) to give you audible feedback while your walking or running of your time, distance, calories and pace. This is very convenient and saves you from toggling through menus and viewing the data on a little LCD screen. The display shows the time and when connected to your iPod nano will show navigation controls for the player. You can even set up a particular “power song” and hit a button to play it during the tougher times when you need a little extra motivation.
