HTC ChaCha Facebook Phone Headed To AT&T As HTC Status

Back in February we heard that HTC’s Facebook phones would be headed to AT&T, and now it looks like the HTC ChaCha is going to do just that in the next few weeks and it will now be called the HTC Status. It could go on sale within the next week, or within the next two to three weeks. It’s almost here.

The HTC ChaCha or HTC Status now, features Android Gingerbread with HTC’s Sense UI, plus a 2.6 inch touch screen display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, a full QWERTY keyboard, 800MHz processor, 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, plus a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, digital compass, G-sensor, proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor.

myTouch 4G Slide Appears In The Wild

How about some crystal clear myTouch 4G Slide in the wild shots? The device has shown up in some pics that are actually pretty nice and clear. Looks like it will definitely run Gingerbread with an HTC Sense UI. The keyboard is said to be amazing and the phone surprisingly fast.

Apparently the keyboard also feels a lot like the G2 keyboard. The phone also apparently weighs in at a little bit more than the G2, so we will see how it feels. Nice to see it clearly for once.

T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide revealed in accessory photos

HTC DoubleShot is the code name for the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide that is coming soon. And today we have some accessory cases showing how the final design will most likely look. T-Mobile has not announced this device, but it will likely be sometime soon.

It looks like it features a dual LED flash and they’ve moved the speaker down below. It will look similar to the original myTouch 4G but with a slide out QWERTY keyboard and that new dual-core Snapdragon processor.

HTC Puccini tablet to begin production in June

HTC has entered the final stages of testing for its new 10.1-inch Puccini tablet PC and volume production is expected for June. The tablet will pack in a Qualcomm MSM8660 1.5GHz processor and run on Android 3.0.1 according to sources.

Other features of the Puccini include a touch panel that supports both resistive and capacitive touch technologies and its touch pen will be able to work on certain software and areas. It won’t be long until we hear more. It should ship very soon after June.

HTC Trophy Windows Phone 7 Smartphone Hits Verizon on May 26th

We know that you’ve been waiting and now Verizon Wireless has announced that the new HTC Trophy will be available on May 26th for $149.99 after a $50 mail in rebate. Of course you will also need to sign up to a new 24 month contract with Verizon.

To refresh your memory, the HTC Trophy is a Windows Phone 7 smartphone with a 3.8 inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash that can record HD video in 720p.

HTC Facebook phones, ChaCha and Salsa, available for Amazon pre-order

So you’ve been waiting for a phone with a dedicated Facebook button. Drooling in fact. Well, Amazon UK is ready to take pre-orders for the Salsa and ChaCha handsets with a June 26th delivery. The ChaCha boasts a portrait QWERTY keyboard and a 2.6-inch touchscreen.

The Salsa packs in a 3.4 inches does without the keys. Both also have 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processors and 512MB of RAM, and Android with the Sense overlay. It is £250 ($409) for the ChaCha and £320 ($524) for the Salsa.

HTC Flyer shows off New UI and Features on video

The HTC Flyer was announced last month, and in the latest promo video, we get a much better look at it, like seeing the Flyer’s UI in action as well as other features, like HTC’s new stylus. Looks pretty good to us.

To refresh your memory, the HTC Flyer features a 7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 and comes with Google Android 2.4 Gingerbread, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor and a new version of HTC’s Sense UI. There’s also a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for your video chat needs.

HTC Flyer headed to T-Mobile

Last week a new version of the HTC Flyer was announced for the US, the HTC EVO View, a WiMAX enabled version of the Flyer that will be available with Sprint in the US. But now we have word that the HTC Flyer will also be headed to T-Mobile some time this summer.

The HTC Flyer packs in a 7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor and Android 2.4 Gingerbread. It has two separate camera’s, a five megapixel version on the back and a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front. Other features include a 4,000mAh battery, 3G and WiFi.

HTC Flyer WiFi Tablet headed to Best Buy

HTC announced their latest tablet yesterday, the HTC EVO View 4G. It’s a WiMAX enabled version of the HTC Flyer Android tablet. And now Best Buy has announced that they will begin selling the HTC Flyer WiFi Android tablet this spring. To refresh your memory, the HTC Flyer comes with a 7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

The HTC Flyer WiFi will have Google Android 2.4 Gingerbread, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front for video chat and a 5 megapixel camera on the back. HTC hasn’t announced official pricing on the Flyer WiFi Android tablet yet, but hopefully we will know soon.

HTC Merge Android CDMA World Phone Is Official

We have been hearing about the HTC Merge for a while now, and now HTC has made it official. The HTC Merge will be available from several North American carriers this spring. It will come with Android 2.2 Froyo, and features a 3.8 inch touchscreen display, a slide out QWERTY keyboard, and a five megapixel camera with auto-focus and built in Flash.

The 5 megapixel camera can record HD video in 720p. Also on board is GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G. This is HTC’s first CDMA world phone, so feel free to roam around the world on GSM networks.

HTC Wildfire 2 specs revealed

We have some leaked specs on the HTC Wildfire 2. It packs in a Qualcomm MSM 7227 600MHz processor, a 3.2″ TFT touchscreen display with 320 x 480 resolution, a 5-megapixel camera, 384MB RAM, a microSDHC memory card slot and Wi-Fi.

The rest of the specs are above for your perusal. Sounds like a good solid device. After all, the HTC Wildfire was a decent mid-range Android phone. Now all we need are some press shots and the cat will be completely out of the bag.

AT&T announces the HTC Freestyle

AT&T will start selling the HTC Freestyle on the 13th of February 2011. It features a 3.2 inch touchscreen display, along with a 3.2 megapixel camera and runs on the Brew Mobile platform.

Other features include a microSD card slot which can take up to 32GB cards, Stereo Bluetooth and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s also HTC’s Sense UX interface which has a customizable home screen. The HTC Freestyle will we available for $99 with a two year contract. That’s after a $50 mail in rebate.

RadioShack offering HTC EVO Shift 4G in stores

Radio Shack has announced that the HTC Evo Shift 4G smartphone is now available for purchase in its stores. The Shift 4G was just unveiled officially at CES last week and the 4G smartphone will also work on the 3G network that Sprint operates.

Some features include a 3.6-inch touchscreen, slide out QWERTY keyboard, and a 5MP camera on the back that can record video in 720p resolution. The smartphone will also function as a 3G or 4G hotspot for up to eight devices.

HTC Wildfire getting Android 2.2 in Europe

On its Facebook page, HTC has revealed that its entry-level Android-powered Wildfire will get a software update to Android 2.2. Wildfires in Europe will start receiving the update this week, while a global rollout will take place by February. European carrier Vodafone has already confirmed the news.

You might remember that the Wildfire launched in May with Android 2.1 and a 3.2-inch, 320×240 LCD touchscreen. It also sports a five-megapixel camera, a 528Mhz processor and Wi-Fi along with Bluetooth. The update will let users share the handset’s Wi-Fi connection, install apps on the SD card and improve the camera and Bluetooth performance.

Best Buy today has kicked off a post-Thanksgiving sale with a heavy emphasis on iPods. If you buy an 8GB fourth-generation iPod touch, you get a free GPS unit from the store’s in-house Insignia brand. Other iPods are also on sale, ranging from $5 for a fourth-generation iPod shuffle to $10 off new iPod nanos and $15 off the iPod classic.
