Griffin Simplifi iPod dock and charger, card reader and USB hubWe got a chance to get our hands on Griffin’s new Simplifi desktop device recently and we feel they really got the name right on this one. Obama DS Lite
While we’re waiting with bated breath for a possible new updated Nintendo DS model that has been rumored, we thought we would take a look at some of our favorite DS mods. Like the Wii, modders love to spice up Nintendo’s boring design and put their own personal touches on the device. Some are weird, some are awesome, some will make you wonder what’s in the modder’s local water supply, but all are creative.

Apple to stream your iTunes to your iPhone?
Not sure how much we are willing to believe this, but AppleInsider has found a patent that apparently shows music over the internet streaming to your iPhone and iPod touch. You wouldn’t have to sync content to your device. Instead, you’d sync only the metadata and stream whatever you wanted direct from your computer. Like i said, we aren’t sure if we’re buying this just yet, but it’s interesting. My guess is that there may be just a smidgen of truth to this, but we’re missing some kind of important piece of info. While you’re waiting on this, get an iPhone arm.

Play Sonic on your iPod

Play Sonic on your iPod

Our favorite Hedgehog is back. Sega’s 16-bit classic game has now made its way onto the iPod games section of iTunes. It will only cost you $4.99. It’s interesting to note that the Wii version of the title is nearly twice as much at 800 Wii points. That’s $8.

Just use the circular iPod touch wheel as a four-way d-pad, the center button takes place of the original ABC buttons from the Genesis controller. I imagine it takes some getting used to but should suffice. According to Crave however, in the later bonus levels, it doesn’t fair so well. For the $4 price tag, they even threw in some extras. Like being able to turn off the soundtrack and replace it with your own, while keeping some of the sound effects.
