NEC ValueStar VW970/DS All-In-One 3D Desktop PC

NEC has announced their latest new all-in-one 3D desktop PC, the ValueStar VW970/DS. This all-in-one is based on Intel’s new Sandy Bridge platform. The space-saving machine features a 23-inch 1920 x 1080 3D monitor and a 2.7GHz Intel Core i7-2620M processor.

Other features include a 1GB GeForce GT425M graphics card, 8GB of RAM, up to a 2TB hard drive, a Blu-ray drive, a TV tuner, a card reader, WiFi, an HDMI port and two USB 3.0 ports. Pricing and availability info are still unknown at the moment, but hopefully we will learn more soon.

Cydle M7 MultiPAD Android Tablet

Looks like the FCC has finally approved the Cydle M7 MutiPAD. The device is a 7-inch Android tablet with a detachable stand, allowing you to more comfortably watch videos or surf the web anyway you want. If you are interested, the FCC has published the user manual and other information.

The Cydle M7 MultiPAD packs in an 800MHz ARM11 CPU, 8GB of storage space, 256MB of RAM, a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixel) touchscreen display, a 4500mAh battery and Google Android 2.1. There’s also a g-sensor, an HDMI port, a built-in speaker and 1080p HD video output.

Acer outs new 3D LCD Monitor

Acer has unveiled it’s latest 3D LCD monitor, the GN245HQ, for the European market. It features a 120Hz panel and the new 24-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 100,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 2ms response time and supports NVIDIA’s 3D Vision technology.

It also has a built-in 3D IR emitter for synching with the 3D active shutter glasses, and has dual-DVI as well as HDMI 1.4a connectors. The GN245HQ will ship in Europe in February for around 430 Euro (or about $585).

MSI WindPad 100W Tablet now available

If you want a tablet that runs Windows, the WindPad 100W from MSI might be for you. It will cost you 550 Euros in Europe and it’s now available in the US for $709.95.

The tablet sports a 10.1-inch screen, Windows 7 Starter, Intel Atom Z530 CPU, and 2GB of RAM. It stores data and software to a 32GB SSD and has WiFi, a memory card reader, and a mini HDMI output. It’s a bit expensive, but if you want it it is available now.

Mitsubishi 3DS-100S 3D Starter Pack for older Samsung and Mitsubishi 3D TVs

Want more 3D in your life? Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America has announced a new 3D Starter Pack that allows owners of both Mitsubishi and Samsung 3D-ready DLP TVs to enjoy 3D home entertainment. The Mitsubishi 3DC-100S is available online right now and offers two pairs of active shutter 3D glasses, a 3D emitter, an updated 3D adapter with remote, an HDMI cable, and a Disney 3D Blu-ray disc full of 3D trailers of movies.

The new 3D starter pack will cost $449.99 and converts all mandatory 3D signal formats prescribed by HDMI 1.4a for display on Mitsubishi and Samsung 3D DLP TVs.

Flip Video camera with Wi-Fi shows up at the FCC

An FCC filing has confirmed that Cisco is developing a Wi-Fi version of its Flip Video cameras. The M3260 has been tested using 802.11n Wi-Fi along with the HDMI and USB connectors. The purpose of the wireless is probably to share video on a local network and maybe even upload video directly to YouTube or Facebook.

We don’t know what the camera will be like outside of the Wi-Fi, or when it will ship. It should be $200 or under to fit into the marketplace.

Trim Slice Pocket-friendly Desktop PC

CompuLab has announced the launch of the Trim Slice portable computer. The compact device measures just 130mm x 95mm x 15mm and features both HDMI and Dual-Link DVI ports for twin displays, a fanless metal chassis, 1GB of RAM, WiFi b/g/n and Gigabit Ethernet.

Some other features include Bluetooth, a full-sized SDHC slot and a microSDHC slot, up to 64GB of SATA SSD storage and S/PDIF digital audio. The Trim Slice pocket-friendly desktop PC will go on sale in April 2011.

Samsung 750 and 950 3D LED monitors

Samsung’s new 750 series an 950 series will come in both 23 and 27 inch sizes with 1080p resolution, a two-millisecond response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, D-sub, HDMI, DisplayPort, and DVI-DualLink connectivity.

You can also get them with a TV tuner and they will handle 3D for gaming, TV, films, and user-generated content. The hybrid 750s and all the 950s can do 2D-to-3D conversion from PCs, Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, and set-top boxes. Sadly we don’t yet have a price, but we do know that the line hits stores in March.

Korean music video shows LG G-Slate with 3D

Rumors that the LG G-Slate would go 3D seem to have been confirmed by a Korean music video. Seungri’s clip for “What Can I Do” shows the device for the first time outside of a press event. It appears to show the dual cameras that would be needed for shooting 3D video. Earlier rumors had suggested a glasses-free 3D display and that seems to be the case.

A recent FCC filing which shows two holes on the back also supports that it has 3D. Other details are the front camera, HDMI and micro USB ports and an optional stand. The G-Slate should be based on NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 and have Android 3.0 on the 8.9-inch 1280×720 screen and 1080p video when using the HDMI output.

Toshiba announces dynabook 3D Notebook

Toshiba is launching a 3D notebook just like everybody else, with the Launch of the Toshiba Dynabook T441/D8B, which is one of the companies first 3D notebooks. The Toshiba dynabook 3D features a 15.6 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, an Intel Core i7 2630QM 2GHz processor and a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics card.

Other specifications include 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 750GB hard drive, a 0.3 megapixel web camera, one USB 3.0 port and three USB 2.0 ports. It also features HDMI, Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and it will come with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

ASUS Eee Slate EP121 Windows-based tablet available for pre-order

The Microsoft online store is now taking pre-orders for ASUS’ Windows-based tablet, the Eee Slate EP121. The tablet is selling for $1,099 and if you have the scratch, it will start shipping on January 24th. The Eee Slate EP121 sports a 12.1-inch capacitive multitouch display, a 1.33GHz Intel Core i5-U470 processor, and 4GB of RAM.

Some other features include 32GB or 64GB of storage, a card reader, a 2.0-megapixel webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth, a mini-HDMI port and comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Veebeam HD will provide an easy solution for streaming your PC display directly to your TV via Wi-Fi. You can enjoy 1080p or 480i PC display mirroring and video “play-to” support to your HDTV via the Veebeam wireless HDMI receiver.

The Veebeam creates a point-to-point, 150Mb/s wireless connection between the USB Antenna and the receiver, so you can stream media without using your home network, and therefore not bottleneck it for other users.

BenQ announces two new 24-inch LED monitors

BenQ has two new monitors, the EW2430 and EW2430V. Both feature a 24-inch HD panel that uses LED backlighting and vertical alignment (VA) technology, along with a native contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and eight-bit color, two HDMI ports, D-Sub, and DVI.

The EW2430V features “smart focus” highlighting, image resolution upconversion, 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and picture-in-picture. There’s also 3D deinterlacing and noise reduction. No info on pricing yet for these two, but they will arrive first in Europe and the Asia Pacific later this month.

MSI WindPad U100W Windows 7 Tablet

With so many tablets to choose from, it’s amazing that any company can get a grip on the market. The MSI WindPad U100W Windows 7 tablet hopes to capture the hearts and minds in France where it will be launched next month for 550 Euros ($730).

This tablet features MSI’s custom wind Touch UI, a 10-inch touchscreen display, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 32GB SSD, a few USB ports, an HDMI out, a webcam and the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
