Hyundai drops two 3D LCD monitors in Europe |
Hyundai has two new 3D LCD monitors for the European market. The 22-inch W220S and the 24-inch W240S. Both monitors come complete with polarized glasses to insure that you look your dorkiest while taking in that sweet 3D.
Some other features include a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, two 3W speakers, a D-Sub port, a DVI port and an HDMI port. The W220S has a native resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels with a 5ms response time, while the W240S offers a higher resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels with 6ms response time.




The desktop computer got its name because at one point the machines all sat on top of the desk rather than beside it as most do today. Dell has announced that its new Zino HD computer is now available in the U.S. and is sized to sit on the desktop again.
Most LCD monitors don’t feature a built-in webcam. Acer’s latest, giving their monitor family a boost, the H243HXB does just that, with a CrystalEye webcam.
Here’s yet another gadget aimed at women from a company who thinks that making it look like a cute little purse will have them selling like hotcakes. It looks soft and frilly and goes with your bag so of course you’ll love it right? Probably not.
If I was the type that had a small amount of space or needed a screen that could pull duty as a TV and work for my PC, the SyncMaster P2770HD would be on my short list. This slick monitor was announced today by Samsung in Korea, but it should be coming stateside as well.
Sony is releasing three new laptops, all part of the Vaio Fall-Winter Signature collection. The Sony Vaio VGN-FW590FFD comes with a 16.4-inch LCD display, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard disk drive, a 2.53GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 processor and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics.

Myka is bringing Hulu, Boxee and NVIDIA ION graphics to the table with the Myka ION. Apparently, Myka goes beyond Hulu and Boxee allowing you to run other full PC applications like XBMC and “browse to any web site and play video content directly onto your TV.”

Viewsonic is getting into the media player game at a lower price point. The VMP70 is a “direct connect” media device that will play content from your choice of USB-compatible devices, up to 1080p to your display over HDMI or component cables, also featuring composite for lower-def stuff.
Litl describes their Webbook as “an internet computer that works great with your favorite websites”. The Litle Webbook aims to be versatile and can be used as a standard netbook or, flipped around, as a TV device with an optional remote and “TV style” control knob.
The T230H is Acer’s latest addition to its monitor lineup. The T230H features multi-touch capabilities and is a 23-inch widescreen monitor that offers Full HD resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels, an 80,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 2ms response time and a 160/160 degree viewing angle.
I like it when my electronic gear can serve more than one purpose. My iPhone can act as a MP3 player and a MID in addition to making calls and I would like it if my normal monitor could do other tasks as well. Samsung has announced a pair of new LCDs called the 933HD and the 2333HD that work for your computer and work as normal TVs too.
Back when I bought my PS3, I paid lots of money for it in part because of the Blu-ray player. Today Blu-ray players have come down significantly in price and several models are available for under $200. JVC added a new device to that under $200 list today called the XV-BP11.
PC maker Haleron is the company behind several dual core and dual processor netbooks. Now the company sets their sites on nettops with the new Haleron H-BOX line of low power desktops. The Haleron H-BOX features a dual core Intel Atom 330 CPU and NVIDIA ION graphics. And it weighs less than 2.2 pounds. According to Haleron it’s less than 1/30th the size of a desktop PC, but they don’t specify which desktop PC being compared to.
