Gateway intros new ZX-series All-in-One Computers

Acer Aspire AZ3100-U3072 All-In-One Desktop PC

Acer’s latest All-in-one looks pretty nice. The Aspire AZ3100-U3072 features with a 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display, a 2.0GHz AMD Athlon II 170u processor, and a NVIDIA GeForce 9200 graphics card.

Other features include 3GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive, a webcam, a DVD drive, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, an HDMI port, two built-in speakers and it comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium for the OS.

Patriot Convoy puts a RAID array into your PC

When it comes to memory for your computers or SSDs to store your data on Patriot has you covered. What some of us need is a way to store more data inside some of the unused optical drive bays on a desktop computer. Patriot has you covered there too with its Convoy line of storage devices.

Patriot has added a couple new products to the Convoy line today that have four 2.5-inch drive bays. The new products are the Convoy 425S and the 425XL and both are very similar. They have an aluminum chassis and 40mm fans to keep the drives inside the hot swap bays cool.

Onkyo announces three Windows 7 Tablets

Japanese company Onkyo has announced three new Windows 7 based tablet computers. Two are 10.1 inch models, the Onkyo TW117A4 and TW217A5. The other is an 11.6 inch model the TW317A5.

Both the TW117A4 and TW3175A feature an Intel Atom N450 processor and Intel GMA 3150 graphics, while the TW217A5 features an Intel Atom Z530 processor and Intel GMA 500 graphics. All three come with 1GB of RAM, integrated 802.11 b/g/n WiFi plus Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.

Origin announces EON17 Gaming Notebook

Origin PC has a new high end gaming notebook. The Origin EON 17 features a 17.3 inch Full HD wide screen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and it is capable of Full HD video in 1080p. You can choose from a range of Intel processors up to an Intel Core i7 980x processor, and you also have the option to have up to two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480M graphics cards in SLI.

You can also choose a massive 24GB of DDR3 RAM, with a total of three different hard drives. How about a full size keyboard with a numeric keypad? You got it. Some other specs include HDMI out, optical digital out and 7.1 channel HD audio, a touch sensitive multi gesture pad and a bunch of instant access buttons. This is one powerful notebook.

Sony updates VAIO E, F, L with new CPUs, graphics

Sony has upgraded PC lineup with some speed and option upgrades across some models. The VAIO E series gets most of the updates: options for the faster 2.66GHz Core i5 580M and 2.53GHz Core i5 460M, and a new 2GHz Pentium dual-core option for build-to-order models.

The EA and EB now have options for Mobility Radeon HD 5650 video and 1080p displays, while every E series gets purple as a color choice. The VAIO F gets a visual performance upgrade with the newer GeForce GT 425M and a single USB 3.0 port.

DIY mini dragster powered by six circular saws

Give a geek some hardware, a bit of extra time, and a need for speed and they can come up with anything. A dude named Barry Lee has constructed his own mini dragster using six circular saws for power. The saws are 16-inch Makita units.

The dragster was created for a cool competition in the UK called the Power Tool Drag Racing Championships held in conjunction with the Royal Navy and Five’s Gadget Show. The dragsters will compete against other DIY types and power tool companies for the win.

HP has outed two new and attractive all-in-one desktop PCs in the TouchSmart 310 and Omni 100. The TouchSmart 310 features a 20-inch 1600 x 900 multitouch display, a 2.8GHz AMD Athlon II 240e dual-core processor, ATI Radeon HD 4270 integrated graphics, 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 1TB hard drive, webcam, DVD burner, TV tuner, a 6-in-1 card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, two built-in speakers and Windows 7 is running the show.

Seagate unveils first 1.5TB Portable External Hard Drive

Seagate has another first on their hands. The company has just announced the industry’s first 1.5TB portable external drive, the FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra-portable. The drive features USB 3.0 connectivity giving you fast data transfers and it is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 if you’re using the older version.

These drives are formatted for the Windows NTFS file system, but include an optional NTFS driver for Mac, so it works for both systems. The drive will be available in black and will cost you $250 when it’s released.

MSI debuts slick GX660 and GX660R notebooks

MSI has a wide range of notebooks and other computers in its line that include some nice netbooks and AIO desktop offerings. The company has added some interesting new notebooks aver the last month or so to its offerings and among them are the new GX660 and GX660R notebooks.

The two notebooks both have 15.6-inch screens WiFi, Bluetooth, 720p HD webcams, HDMI output, ATI Radeon HD 5870 Broadway XT graphics, and USB 3.0 ports. Some of the other hardware differs between the models. The GX660 has an Intel Core i5-450m CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 500GB of storage.

Ultrasone debuts Pro 2900 headphones in two versions

Ultrasone has been making high-end headphones for a long time. The company has unveiled its latest new headphones called the Pro 2900. For the first time the headphones are being offered in two versions. One of the versions is your common single cable set of headphones.

The other version is a balanced version with two cables made specifically for balanced amplifiers that audiophiles might use for better sound. The Pro 2900 headphones have the same design no matter the version with velvet covered ear pads and 40mm drivers coated in titanium.
