The Nokia 3500 is now available in pink from Fido, even though it doesn’t look all that pink. Not really that big of a deal. The pink is limited to the direction pad and keypad which light up. The pinkified Nokia 3500 will cost the same as the regular version of the 3500: $15 a month with a 3-year contract, $90 for a 2-year contract, $100 standalone phone. Probably a good phone for those girls who want to be all Sex in the City.

It features a 2 megapixel camera, music player and built-in FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, tri-band GSM support and a microSD memory card slot. Also has Handsfree speaker, Voice commands, calendar, to-do list, notes, countdown timer, stopwatch and calculator. Just a bit of pink. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Printers can go either way. I’ve found that they are generally terrible due to high expectations, or in some cases they actually live up to the hype. I can tell you straight away, the Epson WorkForce 600 All-in-One Printer lives up to and even exceeds the hype. First, it looks great and it’s not much bigger then your standard printer, so you don’t need a lot of extra desk real estate. That’s a good thing for anybody, but being designed for small and home businesses, it’s a huge plus to have a work horse that looks good and goes just about anywhere. Some of the features on the 600 include WiFi capabilities, laser quality printing, fast printing speeds, built-in memory card reader, and a super handy LCD to preview your pictures and operate the whole thing effortlessly.

Right out of the box you get an ethernet cable, power cable, driver/software disc, user manuals, even sample paper, a small bit of phone cable and the necessary printer cartridges. No USB cable, which is common and with the Wi-Fi capabilities you really don’t need one.

Bluetooth speakers have been around a while for use with notebooks, mobile phones, and MP3 players. Most of the Bluetooth speakers available aren’t really intended for outdoor use due to the fragile technology and lack of batteries.

CY-FI has released what it calls the world’s first Bluetooth sports speaker that is designed to be easily portable and used while biking, boating, camping and for other outdoor activities. The device supports Bluetooth-A2DP enabled cell phones, PDAs, and MP3 players.

Making its appearance at IFA 2008 in Berlin, the Made for iPod refrigerator is the first of it’s kind. Gorenje might have a winner on it’s hands with this here fancy fridge. Sure, we’ve seen refrigerators with a bunch of multimedia features that allow you to listen to music, watch TV, even surf net, but this is Apple certified. It features a built-in iPod docking station and speakers, so as you might expect, you can play music and video and connect to the internet via a Wi-Fi network.

Apparently by integrating the iPod with iGorenj app, you can control all kinds of Gorenje appliances like washing machines and the oven for instance. The app is not built for iPhone/iPod touch, it’s served from a home server that controls your appliances directly. That way you can use the iPod touch, but also any other web device in your home that uses a Wi-Fi network. Looks like we may have an iKitchen sooner then some of us thought.

It truly is digital camera craziness this week with all of these new shooters flooding the market in time for the holidays. Another product announcement this week from Olympus comes in the form of two new FE-Series models – the FE-360 and FE-370, priced around $150 and $200, respectively.

The FE-360 and FE-370, both available now, are targeted towards entry-level shooters. Both offer eight-megapixels, image stabilization, face detection, shot previews and in-camera help guides, among other features. You can get full details after the jump.

Sony took the wraps today off an expanded line up of its nav-u personal navigation devices. These new models – the NV-U94T, NV-U84, NV-U74T and NV-U44 – price around $400, $350, $300 and $250 respectively and will be available in September.

Sony says new features of these four just added nav-u GPS units include more brand icons, search functionality and photo viewing features. The top dog of this group is the NV-U94T, adding “a photo viewer, audio/video player and stereo Bluetooth technology for streaming audio and making hands-free phone calls using compatible devices.” You can get full details on these models after the jump.

Bluetooth headsets are one of the most common accessories for many cell phone users. Many states require drivers to use hands free Bluetooth headsets or car kits. Mostly all the different brands of Bluetooth devices have the same features. BlueAnt has announced a new headset that adds something new to the common Bluetooth headset.

The headset is called the BlueAnt V1 with Advanced Voice Recognition. BlueAnt says that the V1 is the first headset produced to use the Bluetooth 2.1 specification. The headset uses BlueGenie Voice Interface to allow the user to control the headset and phone functions with their voice.

Verizon recently slipped a new mobile phone into its line up with no fanfare which targets messaging hounds. It is called the Blitz and pricing is around $70 after discounts and such.

The Verizon Wireless Blitz offers up a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and compact design. The screen size is 2.2-inches while the built-in digital camera is 1.3-megapixels and can be accessed with a dedicated camera key. Other features include a hands-free speakerphone, a built-in music player, Bluetooth support and expandable memory up to 4GB via a microSD memory card slot.

GN Netcom, through its Jabra headset brand, announced today a new speakerphone for in-car use. It is called the Jabra SP700 and it prices around $100.

The Jabra SP700 transmits cell phone calls to a car’s FM radio for hands-free communications. One clips the speakerphone to a visor, connects it to the phone via Bluetooth and tunes FM radio to the frequency set on the speakerphone. On cars with RDS enabled stereos the caller’s phone number will be displayed and this device also hosts an audio feature that lets users know when the speakerphone status changes, announcing …

Gisteq is rolling out a handheld device for outdoor usage which combines several useful functions, including GPS and live communication. It’s called the Gisteq Explorer and, while available now, pricing information is not immediately clear.

The Explorer has, according to its maker, four functions. These include live communication within a group while it is connected to the FRM/GMRS 2-way radios, a speaker microphone enabling hands free from the radio when talking in the group, a GPS tracker and waypoint navigation. Also viewable through its LCD display are items such as a thermometer and compass.

LG Mobile Phones and AT&T announced a new handset called the LG Invision, which is now the smallest mobile TV capable handset in America. The phone measures 4 inches tall by 2 inches wide and is less than 1/2 inch thick. The clear screen allows TV fans to enjoy TV programming — including college football games — on networks like CBS Mobile, ESPN Mobile, Fox Mobile, and NBC2GO.

Let’s face it, it’s hard to take calls when snowboarding. You won’t have to worry anymore thanks to Swany’s g.cell, the first hands free cell phone ski and snowboarding gloves. You’ll be alerted to incoming calls with(Prepare yourself) vibrating wrist action.

Just tap the back of your hand to receive calls. Comes complete with charger included and it will give you 12 hours on standby/ 4 hours talk time. The speaker and mic are located in the palm and the thumb so you might look a little silly as you literally talk to the hand. Available this holiday season for $495. They might just be the most expensive glove ever.

Cygnett recently unveiled a new Bluetooth hands-free speaker which has some interesting design appeal to it. It is called the Cygnett GrooveTooth Talk and you can pick one up for around $80.

The Cygnett GrooveTooth Talk works with Bluetooth-enabled cell phones, inclduing the iPhone 3G. It makes use of Bluetooth 2.0 and offers an auto detection range of around 30 feet. The built-in speaker is 1.5 watts and you can get about seven hours of talk time out of this device.

Here’s something you don’t see everyday. A GPS device without a screen from French company Kapsys. It seems at first like a horrible idea, but speech can be just as powerful. It’s a one-of-a-kind mini portable GPS device with a voice recognition interface.

It’s designed mainly for pedestrians who need directions, and also includes a text-to-speech feature. It might also help you keep your eyes on the road. TeleAtlas will offer the map information, while Kapsys provides still more city-related information on their website. Features a SiRF Star III GPS receiver, Bluetooth, MP3 player, FM Radio and hands-free capability. As far as storage it has 4GB of internal memory. Expect it around mid-September for 150 Euros.

Over the last several months many states have moved to a hands free law that means all drivers in the state can only use a cell phone when coupled with a hands free kit like a Bluetooth headset. Many drivers in states that still allow you to hold your phone and talk when driving prefer Bluetooth headsets as well.

A new Bluetooth headset from i.Tech has launched called the i.VoicePRO and it claims to be the first Bluetooth headset on the market with dual microphones using Bluetooth Profile v2.1. The dual mics mean that the headset has superior noise filtering properties.
