Microsoft launched the cool Arc mouse with an interesting foldable design a long time ago. Microsoft came back later and offered the Arc Keyboard for users wanting a full wireless desktop with style.

The original Arc keyboard was available in glossy black color only. Microsoft has now come back and offered a white version of the Arc Keyboard with a lime green bottom. Other than the color, the keyboard is the same as the original.

Lenovo is known for making a full range of computers for consumers and business users globally. The company has a full line of notebooks, netbooks, and desktop computers. Lenovo has unveiled its latest workstation desktop PC aimed at professional users called the E20.

The new desktop is made from 50% recycled materials and meets Energy Star 5.0 and GREENGUARD requirements. Pricing for the line starts at under $600 and there are gobs of options that can be added. Processors choices include Intel Core i3, Core i5, Pentium, and Xeon 3400 processors.

Computers that are aimed at businesses are typically pretty boring. The business manager in charge of buying computers typically wants two things — machines that work and machines that are dirt cheap. Typically, that means plain machines missing features that consumers take for granted in the name of low cost.

Lenovo has unveiled a new desktop computer aimed at small businesses that forgoes the latest and greatest tech in an effort to be cheap. The machine can be had with AMD Sempron, Athlon II, or Phenom II Processors. It can be fitted with 1TB of storage and uses 1333MHz RAM.

Green computing is a big deal in many companies and communities. The more power we can save in computing the less pollution is produced and the less power we consume. Power savings is an especially big deal in the business world. Tecsol has announced a new green touchscreen computer aimed at building automation called the Medallion TPC-43C.

The machine has a 4.3-inch touchscreen with 65K colors and a resolution of 480 x 272. The device runs an ARM9 processor with 32kB of cache, 64MB of SDRAM, and 128MB of NAND flash. The little touchscreen device draws all the power it needs from an Ethernet cable, which also gives it connectivity.

They’ve come to steal our juice. Guard the stores. Defend the vending machines. They can have Prune juice, but I will fight them to the death for the rest. The UFO Intergalactic Juicer UFO Juicer is available in three colors. Pink, lime green, and navy blue, each with their own design on the spacecraft.

The juicer has a plastic filter with cut out shapes for straining the pulp, because even aliens don’t like pulp. The saucer separates for easy cleaning and has a bottom hole for the juice to drain out. I want it to be known right now that if I catch any alien scum stealing Snapple, I’m popping a cap in his intergalactic ass. Not on my watch man.

A while beck we mentioned that Viewsonic had announced its first all-in-one PC called the VPC100. All-in-one PCs are nice devices that offer all the parts that you need for a computer inside the LCD. The machines are like netbooks on the inside for the most part.

At the time, the PC was announced we didn’t have a ship date from Viewsonic to share. Viewsonic has now announced that the VPC100 is shipping for $599. In case you missed the first post about the product, the VPC100 runs an Intel Atom 1.64GHz CPU, Windows XP home and has an 18.5-inch LCD.

One thing that most gaming PCs have in common is that they pack the highest performance parts they can get their hands on into a rig that sucks down power like a Hummer slurps fuel. With more people looking to go green, I guess it was inevitable that a green gaming rig was launched.

Maingear has announced the Pulse gaming PC, which it claims to be the world’s greenest gaming PC. The rig is based on the NVIDIA Ion platform and it is also the world’s first upgradable Ion PC. The small form factor machine can be upgraded from Ion graphics to an NVIDIA 9800 ECO video card that needs 40% less power than a typical 9800 GT requires.

There was once a time when buying a new notebook regardless of the brand meant that you were getting the same basic looking machine. Some notebooks were plain beige then along came the snazzy black machines. Dell was among the first notebook makers to offer consumers real color options and is still the leader in that area.

Dell announced a new laptop yesterday called the Studio 14z that packs a nice feature set into a colorful and portable package. The machine has a low starting price of $649 and comes in Black Chain Link, Midnight Blue, Spring Green, Plum Purple, Ruby Red, and Promise Pink colors. The notebook will be available internationally, but the pink color is for the U.S. only. Dell will donate $5 for each pink notebook purchased to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.

A friend of mine was asking me the other day what notebook they should buy for their 7-year-old son who wants his first computer. I told them to get a netbook because they are cheap and sized well for small hands. The only problem with a netbook is that the small stature can lead to easier breakage.

Dell has announced a new ruggedized netbook called the Latitude 2100 that is aimed at use in schools for students in K-12. The machine has a rubberized design that helps it withstand the rigors of living with kids and makes the exterior of the machine grippier.

Pretty nice incentive to recycle your goods huh? It may not give out snacks, but Envirobank claims that their machines cut CO2 emissions, reduce waste disposal and collection costs, and even provide advertising and fund raising opportunities for those who need it.

Flash drives are useful little gadgets that allow computer users to easily transfer data between multiple machines and act like the floppy discs of the past. The problem is that moving sensitive files on a flash drive can make for trouble is the drive is unsecured.

Ennova Direct has announced that it has been granted a new patent on a flash drive that features a retractable USB connector. The flash drive has a flip up lid that covers the small OLED screen featured on the drive.

The Apple Store was down for a while this morning, which we all know means new items are being added. If you had your hopes up for something really cool like a new iPhone or netbook, then you are going to be disappointed.

Apple announced that it has updated its Xserve server calling it the fastest and most energy-efficient Xserve ever. The Xserve now uses next gen quad-core Intel Xeon processors and has a greener design that delivers 89% better performance per watt and eliminates PVC and BFRs.

Dell first started out as a maker of computers that users could customize with the exact hardware that they desired. Dell made its name on the customization options it offered buyers. More recently, Dell has been letting shoppers customize not only the hardware inside the notebook or desktop, but has been offering custom colors and designs on the exterior of the computer as well.

Dell has announced new Inspiron desktop computers called the Inspiron slim and mini-tower. The new machines can be customized with eight different colors that completely cover the front panel of the computer. Dell says it is the only major computer maker allowing users to color customize a desktop computer.

You use Best Buy for TVs, washing machines, computer peripherals and cell phones, so why not use them to shop for a $12,000 electric motorcycle? Why the hell not? Brammo and Best Buy have plans to sell the $11,995 Enertia electric motorcycle at five West Coast Best Buy stores in May.

Eventually Brammo would like to sell bikes at every Best Buy location around the world, but they want to see how the initial test works out. They should probably have pimply faced geek squad dudes drive around on them for promotion. And so they are diverted from touching anyone’s computer.

I really like netbooks, the small systems are perfect for the light work I and many others need to do on the road. Moreover, they are cheap, small and light making them easy to carry and fit into the budget. I haven’t used a Dell netbook yet, but I may consider one now that a new 10-inch version is official.

I was never a big fan of the Mini 9 or Mini 12 netbooks; they were too small and too large. As the antagonist of the three bears would put it, the Mini 10 is just right. Dell says that we will be able to buy the Mini 10 directly from Dell.com on February 26 and that QVC is offering pre-orders on the netbook right now.
