Sequiam Biometrics Biovault 2.0 safe

Here’s another device you can give the finger too. For security reasons of course. Much like the Master Lock smartTOUCH garage door opener we covered earlier. The Sequiam Biometrics BioVault 2.0 is a safe that needs your finger to open it and get to the valuables inside. It recognizes your fingerprint and opens at your command. You can program it to open for others too, if you grant them access. The safe can accommodate up to 50 users.

You can store your gold inside, jewelry, even your precious and expensive gadgets, but it’s really designed to store guns safely and is endorsed by the NRA. It makes sense to store guns in a safe like this as it would apparently open quickly, but keep them safely locked away from kids. The price is $399.95.

Master Lock smartTOUCH garage door opener

The smartTOUCH garage door opener works with any manufacturer’s garage door opener, and stores up to 20 user’s fingerprints. You can also provide temporary access for contractors or visitors etc, by adding, deleting, and changing user profiles.

I know, it’s all good until someone hacks your finger off, just like SmartScan, but what are ya gonna do? The smartTOUCH operates by sliding the cover open and swiping your finger(Assuming you still have it). The device’s algorithm reads the “unique swirls on your finger to create a unique code, that only comes back to you.” The code is then encrypted and can’t be used to recreate your print. They say that it will work out of the box and is a breeze to install and operate. It’s also weatherproof and can operate at temperatures from -30 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.

PetSafe SmartDoor gives Fido own door opener

PetSafe SmartDoorFido likes to come home late at night and you are tired of staying up so you can lock up after him. You can now remedy this problem with the new PetSafe SmartDoor and your pooch’s radio collar key code.

That’s right kiddies – the dog door has gone high tech! The PetSafe SmartDoor, which is battery powered, unlocks(!) and opens up when a dog, cat or iguana nears it wearing the radio code tag on its collar. It works like a garage door opener, says PetSafe, and has a weather tight seal. You can set it to three different security modes.
