Four store listings at Italian online shop F2F have leaked Sony’s plans for an upgraded VAIO Z in Europe. All of them will feature Sandy Bridge Core processors, very fast SSD storage, fingerprint readers, and built-in 3G. Sounds good and the HDMI has also been upgraded to put out 3D video, but that’s not all. The webcam uses the low-light Exmor sensor technology.

The base system will cost you $2,648 equivalent price but with a 2.3GHz Core i5, 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD mated to the Z series’ signature 13.1-inch, 1600×900 display. Of course once you get up to 2.7GHz Core i7 and 256GB SSDs it gets much more expensive at $3,584.

The Fujitsu LifeBook. Sounds like a medical alert bracelet mashed up with a notebook. Thankfully, it’s a lot nicer than that. And the T901 tablet PC is now for sale in the US. It is powered by an Intel Core i5-2520M processor and boasts a 13.3-inch, 1280 x 768 LCD that supports NVIDIA’s Optimus graphics.

That display also features an active digitizer, and for an extra $100 you can rock the dual digitizer that allows five-finger capacitive multitouch. It also features a modular bay so you can swap in a second battery or hard drive, etc. Not enough? How about an integrated fingerprint sensor to keep it all safe?

Whether this tablet is stylistic or not is debatable, but one thing is for sure, most tablets don’t have Smart Card readers, fingerprint scanners and TPM modules, but the Fujitsu Q550 has one of each. That’s a bonus for sure.

The Oak Trail-powered Windows 7 tablet sporting it’s 10.1-inch, 1280 x 800 IPS screen is now ready for US pre-orders. The base model is $729 with a 30GB solid state drive and a two-cell rechargeable battery. For $849 you get 62GB of storage and a four cell swappable Lithium-ion battery. Both have front and rear cameras, HDMI out, a bootable USB 2.0 port, a full-size SD slot and dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi.

Samsung has announced a new line of hard disk drives, including two portable drives and a desktop storage station. These drives support the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface and will deliver transfer speeds of up to 5 gigabits per second, which is 10 times higher than USB 2.0. So you will be able to transfer a 25-gigabyte full HD movie in just four minutes flat. Not bad eh?

The M2 Portable is an entry-level model, while the C2 Portable 3.0 is the premium version. The M2 comes with a matte finish that covers scratches and fingerprints and has curved sides that allow for a good grip. The C2 will have a high-gloss cover with a crystallized pattern. The drives are available in densities of up to 1 terabyte and will come in four colors: Brown Black, Noble Beige, Mist Gray and Clay Orange.

The device provides several speeds across different data media types: 6X BD-R, 4X BD-R Dual Layer, 24X CD-ROM, 24X CD-RW, 8X DVD±R recording, 8X DVD-RAM recording, 6X DVD+R Dual Layer recording, 6X DVD-R Dual Layer recording, 8X DVD+RW recording and 6X DVD-RW recording. You can expect it to arrive in April 2011 for $150.

Fujitsu has unveiled a price range of £749 up to £849 for the Stylistic Q550, its business tablet. The tablet will arrive next month in two versions, one with a 32GB SSD and the other with a 64GB SSD. The tablet will also pack in an Intel ‘Oak Trail’ Atom processor and up to 2GB of RAM.

There’s also WiFi and Bluetooth, front and rear webcams, USB 2.0, HDMI, and an SD card reader with 3G and GPS as extra options.

If you’re looking for a wallet that is secure enough for a superhero, look no further. It has a Bluetooth alarm, fingerprint identification, and an unbreakable carbon fiber exterior. Probably made by Wayne Industries too.

The Dunhill Biometric Wallet also has a money clip inside to hold your cash, with room for credit cards. Batman’s cash will now be secure, until he drops this off some bridge while fighting the Joker. This is one tough and secure wallet.

iWallet is a secure biometric wallet that should keep your cash and cards safe from foreign hands. The device opens with your fingerprint, and alerts you when it loses Bluetooth contact with your cellphone.

Sounds great, but what is the cost? Will you have anything left to keep safe once you buy it? It’s available in a variety of colors, including a fiber glass model for $400 or a lightweight carbon fiber case for $600.

About 800,000 units of the Galaxy S phone have already sold in Korea. So some of these folks who didn’t buy it may just like it in white and buy it after all. That’s why Samsung has released a new White version of the phone. This high-gloss White model has a chrome bezel and a black front.

So if you are in South Korea and wanted the phone in white, feel free to get one now. An international version of the white version is expected soon. Dirty fingerprints will be right behind.

Guys like me are lucky. We get to work from home and bring you all of the latest gadget news. But there are some things that you miss about the office. Like abusing photocopiers. Whether just scanning some copies of your butt, or full on getting mad and giving it a good kick when it misbehaves, abusing these machines may be a thing of the past thanks to Canon.

In Japan, Canon has teamed up with Hitachi on a new fingerprint scanning system for their multi-function boxes which photocopy, print, scan and fax, so only those allowed to use the machine can use it. We also figure it will link butt-scans to the fingerprints they belong too.

I bet that there are lots of you who have tried to use biometrics to log into your gadgets or computers before and had a hard time. I know the notebook I used to have with a fingerprint scanner rarely let me login when swiping my finger.

Apple has a new biometric sensor patent application that has surfaced that shows a method Apple has envisioned to allow only authorized users to access future iPhones. The sensors in the case of the phone would read the users heart rate and use the readings to verify their identity.
